fast messaging for WFH

Pros

Quick to use and really helpful for cutting down on email clutter since I'm not constantly dealing with junk mail. It's also much more convenient to send a quick message while working from home than making a phone call.

Cons

Does lag from time to time and some messages can take a bit longer to send. This seems to happen more often when larger attachments are involved.

Great for remote teams

Pros

Working on files with the team feels really smooth and discussing changes right there makes collaboration much better. The Power Apps integration inside Teams is also incredibly powerful and adds a lot of value.

Cons

A frustrating thing is that Teams can switch your status to idle when you're active in another app or window. It would be much better if it stayed active whenever the computer is still unlocked.

Excellent

Pros

Best thing is how well it connects with Microsoft 365. It brings together everything needed in one place, including chats, meetings, file sharing and screen sharing. It really helps with team communication and collaboration and the platform is simple to understand and use. Since it combines so many functions in a single app, it also improves day-to-day productivity by reducing the need to switch between different tools.

Cons

The only drawback that comes to mind is the mobile app. The desktop version feels much more convenient to use compared to the phone version. Certain features are harder to find and navigate on mobile.

chat features are nice

Pros

Teams makes communication, collaboration and document sharing with coworkers really convenient. Being able to reply to specific messages with quotes is especially useful and the emoji reactions add a nice touch to conversations.

Cons

Channel layout could be much more user-friendly. It's not very adaptive to figure out how to use them and the headers and sections inside a channel should stand out more and feel better designed. Right now, the experience comes across as cluttered and confusing.

It's good

Pros

Team communication is really simple with this platform. It's user-friendly, quick to work in and has customizable options that fit different needs. It helps make the workday more productive overall.

Cons

At this point, I haven't run into any real downsides. The platform works well, is simple to use and makes communication between multiple locations fast and simple.

I rely on it!

Pros

It works really well for a growing business because it scales as you expand. It also syncs with Outlook, Word and Excel so having everything connected in one unified system is a big plus.

Cons

The video call quality could be glitchy at times. If other tabs were open, the stream would sometimes lag or get delayed.

efficient collaboration every day

Pros

Day to day, it has been a really efficient tool for me. I use it constantly to collaborate with coworkers through direct messages and audio or video calls, join meetings with colleagues and manage shared file storage.

Cons

There's honestly not much I dislike about Teams. My only real complaint is pretty minor but the forward and back arrows while navigating file folders can be a bit quirky. After drilling down through several layers of files, I sometimes hit the back arrow and end up all the way at the beginning without intending to. Also, the forward arrow is occasionally grayed out and can't be used.

windows integration makes it shine

Pros

Since Teams is built into Windows 11 so well, getting started and using it feels simple and quick to set up.

Cons

The video quality in Teams could be better. Whenever I'm watching someone else's screen share, it often looks blurry and unclear.

Keeps everyone connected

Pros

Teams has been really simple to work with and it fits just about every need our company has. It helps keep everyone aligned without filling up our inboxes with endless emails. The instant messaging feature makes responses much faster which helps us handle both client and employee questions more effectively and efficiently. Since we already pay for Microsoft Office, using Teams just makes perfect sense.

Cons

A few people on our team were reluctant to start using yet another program they had to remember to check. It would be more helpful if Teams opened by default and notifications always popped up since some users tend to forget to launch it.

Great integrations

Pros

One thing that really works well with Microsoft Teams is how it connects with Outlook calendar and OneDrive. It keeps documents and tasks organized and easy to get to which makes day-to-day use much better. Sending meeting notifications and reminders is also something I really appreciate.

Cons

At this stage, I honestly don't have any complaints about MS Teams. I've genuinely enjoyed using it every day for both personal and business purposes.

So good

Pros

Microsoft Teams lets us handle both chat and video meetings in one place. We can message the whole team or keep conversations limited to just a few people when needed.

Cons

There really wasn't anything we disliked about Teams. It felt very user-friendly and having everything kept in one location worked out really well for us.

my review

Pros

Having everything gathered in one place is the biggest advantage of this tool. It keeps work organized so there's less need to bounce between different apps or lose track of conversations. The channel structure, simple file sharing and the way messages, meetings and documents stay connected make everything feel more clear and manageable. It's helpful to be able to jump into a chat, open a file or join a call quickly without the usual mess of switching tools. That overall setup feels efficient and dependable especially when staying organized and on schedule matters. The real-time messaging, calling and collaboration also support clearer communication and make the workflow feel more consistent and under control.

Cons

One downside was that Microsoft Teams could sometimes feel more heavy and sluggish than expected. When trying to handle something quickly, there were moments where it lagged, froze or took too long to load a chat or meeting which interrupted the flow of work. Notifications could also become a little messy, with messages appearing in different places or alerts not syncing the way they should. Even though the platform is supposed to make communication simpler, certain features felt hidden or more complicated than necessary especially when the goal was just to find a file fast or return to an earlier conversation. Those times when Teams felt slow, cluttered or not very adaptive were the most frustrating part.

We had a nice experience overall

Pros

Being able to connect with teammates across the world makes Teams a solid platform for building stronger team relationships.

Cons

Teams does seem to run into frequent glitches and sometimes the only way to fix things is to log out or even restart the computer before it works normally again.

Perfect

Pros

Really useful and adaptive for companies. The biggest advantage is having everything in one place: one-to-one messages, group chats, calendar, meetings, calls and more. Also, lots of external apps can be integrated into Teams without much effort.

Cons

It's fairly expensive. Also, from time to time there are issues that can completely disrupt work sometimes for half a day or even longer.

Actually boost productivity

Pros

Between the chat and video features, this has been really useful day to day and the Copilot integration is a big plus since it can transcribe meetings and help put together task lists quickly.

Cons

A weak spot is the limited selection of backgrounds and the ones available do not always look very realistic.

fantastic

Pros

Right away, the biggest advantage for me has been the communication the app provides. Having my team contacts saved instantly and being able to connect through different methods has been incredibly useful. I'm also really happy with the interface, things like tab customization, the icons and the quality-of-life integrations matter a lot to me and make the whole experience better.

Cons

One downside has been the glitches and inconsistent refresh rates. I've dealt with the app closing unexpectedly, along with communication and notification issues. Those problems seem to have stopped now but they were definitely a drawback.

clean interface

Pros

Using Teams has been really simple and the interface feels polished and user-friendly. Setting up multiple groups is simple and it makes communication between different teams very convenient.

Cons

At times, there are too many extra tabs which can make the app a bit harder to navigate on my phone.

Easy to use

Pros

Teams has really become the industry standard for online and hybrid meetings. Microsoft keeps improving it all the time and nearly every update adds features that are actually useful. It works very well for one-on-one calls, team meetings, webinars and internal company discussions. The webinar functionality in particular is finally at a very high level, with convenient participant invitations, attendee management and automated email sending. The platform is flexible and very user-friendly on both Mac and Windows devices. Chats and channels are excellent for working together with coworkers as well as external guest users and the SharePoint integration makes file storage and document management very practical. Private channels are also a valuable option when you need to collaborate with a smaller group within the same team space. Another big plus is the ability to add plenty of apps and add-ons into channels and meetings. The VoIP feature is also very strong since employees can take calls directly in Teams when someone calls their work phone number which is especially useful in Germany where regular phone calls are still very common , )

Cons

Something that can get a bit confusing is how individual chats, group chats and Teams channels are all presented alongside each other. Also, the backend settings for scheduled meetings and webinars could be more simple to locate and manage.

feels like a step backward

Pros

There really aren't any positives to point to. We had to move away from Google because of new DoD requirements and honestly every part of this feels worse. Using it feels like going backward to something from the 1990s.

Cons

Almost nothing feels adaptive, the camera backgrounds look harsh and unappealing and the emojis are pretty bad too. Beyond the basic backbone, the whole platform just feels dated.
