fairly priced

Pros

Video conferencing is the best part of Microsoft Teams for me. It's simple to use, sending calendar invites to users is simple and it feels more smooth and less expensive than Zoom.

Cons

My only issue with Microsoft Teams is that if someone posts in a channel without @mentioning anyone, nobody gets notified.

consistent across windows and linux

Pros

Something I really appreciate is how consistent the interface feels between the native Windows client and the PWA version I use on my Linux development machine.

Cons

The only downside I had before was the limit on how many video participants could be shown on screen in the PWA version but it looks like that has been fixed now.

WFH made easier

Pros

Hosting training events has been really effective especially with the variety of digital tools available to support the learning experience. It has also helped us work well with teams that are remote while others are still in the office at the same time.

Cons

At first, the calendar didn't work the way Outlook does although that has improved since then. It would also be more convenient if presenter roles could be edited without needing to open the event itself.

staying connected all day

Pros

Microsoft Teams has been an excellent way to keep in touch with the team throughout the day. It makes sharing quick updates simple and helps everyone stay informed in real time.

Cons

A downside with Microsoft Teams is that not everyone feels comfortable using the platform which can make collaboration a bit harder for some people.

our team loves it

Pros

Our team relies on Microsoft Teams for meetings, calendars, file storage and day-to-day communication. Having all of those tools in one place helps keep everything organized and makes collaboration much simpler for everyone.

Cons

I'd like is to discover more ways to get value out of Teams because it feels like we're probably not using everything it has to offer yet. A bit more support would help although for now we're trying to figure that out internally.

time-saving business features

Pros

Running business tasks through Microsoft Teams has been really beneficial. The built-in features work together well and can help cut down both the time spent and the overall cost.

Cons

One thing that bothers me is the pricing structure. If you only need one platform and not the other, the cost can still vary in a way that doesn't feel very convenient.

organized collaboration

Pros

Bringing chat, video calls, file sharing and app integrations into one place, Teams makes collaboration feel very smooth. Setting up channels for separate projects or departments helps keep conversations structured instead of scattered everywhere. Meeting performance is reliably solid too, with consistently dependable audio and video quality and its connection with the wider Microsoft 365 suite helps make day-to-day workflows much more efficient.

Cons

There are moments when Teams feels a little heavy on older computers and the interface can be a lot to take in when someone is just getting started. Notifications can also become difficult to stay on top of when you're involved in a large number of teams and channels.

smooth microsoft integration

Pros

The functionality is one of the best parts especially how everything connects so well with other Microsoft programs like Outlook.

Cons

At times, the rollout of newer features can feel a little overwhelming especially when trying to sort out channels versus chats but even with that, I still think Teams is a really valuable tool to have.

Keeps us connected

Pros

Teams is part of our day-to-day workflow now. We use it constantly for quick check-ins, virtual meetings with our quality assurance team and even for sharing sensitive documents through a private channel.

Cons

Getting some of the older staff comfortable with it took a bit of effort at the beginning and the file-sharing setup can get messy and hard to manage pretty quickly.

I like it

Pros

Built-in audio calls are genuinely useful especially for quick meetings or when it makes more sense to switch over to video. You can also send files without any hassle and it even compresses them automatically when they're too large.

Cons

Design feels very plain. It has a really basic somewhat outdated look and the interface could definitely use a more modern refresh.

solid microsoft 365 integration

Pros

After more than a year of using Microsoft Teams for academic group projects, online classes and a few internship meetings, I can say it's been quite helpful especially when your college or workplace is already using Microsoft 365. Integration with OneDrive, Word, Excel and Outlook works really well. I can open files and collaborate on them without switching apps. Scheduling meetings is convenient too since it syncs with the calendar and sends invites directly. The chat is neatly organized so older conversations are easy to track down and file sharing has been reliable, including version history support.

Interface is nice

Pros

The adaptive interface has been a real plus and new teammates usually get comfortable with it in less than an hour. The API also made it possible for us to connect the software with our other tools which has been very helpful.

Cons

Reporting is limited to CSV exports so there are no built-in charts or visual summaries. It's also hard to find older chats and the push notifications don't offer enough fine-tuned control, more specific settings would make them much better.

saves time!

Pros

Having my meetings, emails and calls gathered in one place really helps me keep everything neat and organized. It makes staying on top of things much more convenient when everything is together instead of scattered across different tools.

Cons

One thing that stood out to me was how generic and plain it felt. The graphics and overall interface don't seem like they had much thought or design effort put into them.

Excellent product!

Pros

Teams completely changed how my staff communicates. Just a few days after it was rolled out, we were already using it for video meetings, chat-style conversations and sharing files across the team.

Cons

What I'd still want improved is the file-sharing area. I'd prefer it to work more like a standard Windows folder with the usual display options especially when I'm looking through picture folders and need larger icon previews.

we use it daily

Pros

Compared with similar products, Teams has been extremely simple to use and the call quality has been consistently excellent for me no matter where I've been.

Cons

The part I like least about Teams is the notification system. It's difficult to stay on top of conversations and alerts in Groups and because of that our team has missed some messages and work updates.

Good experience

Pros

Switching to Teams felt very simple because the instructions and overall workflow are clear. Moving over from Skype was simple especially since it includes many of the same features and functions that Skype already had.

Cons

A frustrating part is that contacts can't be sorted which makes previously used people harder to locate. There's also no way to add notes to contacts so searching for them later is less convenient.

cluttered ui and forced app use

Pros

At least it gets the basics done, I can chat, make calls, share files and the Microsoft OneDrive integration works well so it does cover those needs.

Cons

Something that keeps bothering me is how often it pushes me toward using the app instead of the browser. Also, the interface feels cluttered and very corporate which makes it far from enjoyable to use.

works quite nicely

Pros

More than just a chat app, it works as a full workspace that brings meetings, Outlook and SharePoint documents together in one place.

Cons

The calling side has some frustrating glitches which is rough considering it's a core feature. Calls can drop on the phone or fail to connect properly especially when you also have to deal with entering a PIN.

global connections!

Pros

No matter where people are based around the world, it makes staying connected across the whole organization really simple.

Cons

One thing that gets in the way is all the extra features being pushed into Teams, like other channels or tools. I mainly want Teams for connecting with people and I'm not a fan of things like PowerPoint being used inside it because it doesn't work very well.

Impressive communication features

Pros

Using it is very simple and I can text, make calls, jump on video calls and share pictures and videos with people both inside and outside my organization.

Cons

At times it does come across as a bit dated or slow. Every now and then, I also run into random sign-in problems with no clear cause although reinstalling it usually solves the issue.
