powerful microsoft ecosystem fit

Pros

Connecting it with the O365 suite and Power Automate makes the platform incredibly capable. The GitHub and GitLab integrations add even more value and make it a really practical tool to use. If your company is already working inside the Microsoft ecosystem, choosing this feels like an obvious decision.

Cons

Resource usage can be pretty heavy at times and the high RAM and CPU load has occasionally brought my PC to a halt. The limit on how many people can join a chat is also frustrating especially for a large corporation like ours.

Nice layout

Pros

It feels polished and dependable overall. I can open a Word document, Excel file or PowerPoint directly inside Teams and collaborate with the rest of the team at the same time. Watching everyone's edits appear live, along with their little cursors moving around, makes the whole process feel active and collaborative.

Cons

File handling in conversations could be much better. Everything you upload gets tossed into one root channel folder and that quickly becomes disorganized. Also, if you try to clean things up by moving files into clearly named folders, the chat links end up breaking.

Impressive communication features

Pros

Using it is very simple and I can text, make calls, jump on video calls and share pictures and videos with people both inside and outside my organization.

Cons

At times it does come across as a bit dated or slow. Every now and then, I also run into random sign-in problems with no clear cause although reinstalling it usually solves the issue.

frequent crashes

Pros

Getting meetings arranged is very simple, from the initial setup to scheduling. Adding more participants is simple and updating the meeting details only takes a moment.

Cons

A big downside is how heavily it can tax our systems, with CPU usage getting very high at times. Teams also tends to freeze or crash pretty often and there are occasions when meetings fail to sync properly with our Google calendars.

clean UI

Pros

Using the phone and chat features feels very simple and the way both sections work together is one of the best parts. The interface looks really nice and there are plenty of add-ons that make the platform even more useful.

Cons

One issue that still needs attention is call transfers between coworkers since there are some minor bugs there. Also, a few calls occasionally drop so that definitely should be fixed as soon as possible.

works smoothly

Pros

Working with a remote team I've never actually met in person feels much more connected because of this software. It helps us stay in touch every day and we're able to hold daily meetings in a way that feels a lot like being together in the office.

Cons

What bothers me is how fast the availability status switches to away. My job involves a lot of reading so I'm not constantly moving my mouse but it still makes it look like I've stepped away from my desk.

effortless screen sharing

Pros

These days, MS Teams has been a really good app for chatting and communication. It lets us schedule meetings, invite multiple people and handle video calls without much trouble. Screen sharing is especially useful because when someone runs into a problem, others can see it right away and help resolve it instantly in Teams. Another big advantage is that it works across different devices like Windows, Mac and iOS and I have not had compatibility issues using it on any of them. At this point, Teams has become one of the most widely used applications in the world.

Cons

From an IT work perspective, one limitation I have noticed is that administrative tasks cannot really be handled through Microsoft Teams. For example, if we need to run a task or program as an administrator on a client device, we are not able to enter those credentials through Teams which is definitely a drawback. It also tends to struggle at times when the internet speed is low so it does not always work reliably in poor network conditions. Those are the main issues I come across in day-to-day work.

lag-free meetings

Pros

Joining professional meetings through Microsoft Teams feels really natural and the platform has a polished, modern look while still being highly effective.

Cons

One thing I do not like is that people can enter meetings without the host because it makes it confusing whether the meeting has actually started or not.

Productivity booster

Pros

Having everything gathered in one place is a big plus. It lets you chat and get work done without bouncing between a bunch of different tabs. When everyone uses it the way they should, it works really well. The connection with Word and other Microsoft tools is useful too since you can quickly preview or make small edits to files without needing to download them first.

Cons

To be honest, it isn't the most adaptive platform to use. It can feel pretty cluttered once you're part of lots of teams and channels. At times, tracking down where something was posted takes longer than it should. Notifications also feel too extreme, you either get flooded with everything or miss something important entirely. Also, calls tend to drop if the Wi-Fi even briefly cuts out which is really annoying.
