solid calls for windows users

Pros

Overall, Teams delivers a reliable video calling experience that feels on par with other similar tools. It works well but unless you're already part of the Windows ecosystem, there is not much that really sets it apart.

Cons

Downside is that Teams requires a separate app to be installed on your device. That is not especially convenient when you only need to use it once in a while.

simple for daily work

Pros

Teams is really simple to use. It works well for chatting with coworkers, scheduling meetings, checking calendar events and sharing files without much effort.

Cons

Some of the updates are not always ideal. A recent change to the messages and channels column, for example, took a little time to adjust to.

reliable recording tools

Pros

Joining online meetings is simple, the recording feature works well and the background options like professional images or blur are a nice touch. I've never run into functionality issues and it has been dependable for team collaboration. It's also really convenient that people don't even need the app installed since they can just join directly from a meeting link.

Cons

honestly there's very little to complain about with Microsoft Teams since it does what it's supposed to do. If I had to point out one thing, it would be that meeting recordings can sometimes be hard to locate. It would be more helpful if, similar to Google Meet, the recording or at least a link to it could be emailed to the admin participants afterward.

shared data keeps everyone aligned

Pros

Having all the key people working from the same dataset is really helpful. It gives a clear view of what's going on across different disciplines and keeps everyone on the same page.

Cons

One major gap is that the Microsoft Teams phone number doesn't support text messaging with anyone outside our internal work team. That's a serious limitation and something that really needs to be fixed right away.

fantastic

Pros

Something that really works well is how naturally it connects with Microsoft 365 apps. Video meetings have been consistently reliable, with clear audio and helpful features like live captions and background blur. It also keeps communication well organised through channels and threaded conversations which makes team discussions much easier to follow.

Cons

At the beginning, the interface can feel a bit busy or overwhelming especially when you're dealing with lots of teams and channels.

solid microsoft 365 integration

Pros

Since I already work in Microsoft 365 all the time, the way this connects with the rest of the apps in the suite fits in really well and works smoothly.

Cons

The interface can feel pretty crowded and depending on the device, it sometimes slows things down and affects overall performance.

Its good

Pros

Having chat, calls and file sharing all in one place made collaboration really convenient. It's a very practical setup for working with a team.

Cons

At times, it can feel a little slow or somewhat outdated especially when moving between chats or waiting for files to load.

live chat visibility is amazing

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is that I don't have to be inside a meeting before I can follow the live chat or see the conversation going on. I can also return later and read through every message from any meeting which is incredibly useful. Another part I love is that other organizations can add you to their Teams and those conversations still show up in your chats. It's very convenient.

Cons

I feel there is nothing about Microsoft Teams that I dislike at the moment. It has been an excellent product for me so far.

versatile chat and calls

Pros

To have text chat, video calls or even both running at the same time is really useful. It's also a big plus that Teams can manage multiple user accounts at once.

Cons

The extra features they keep adding into Teams, like apps, calendar, OneDrive and similar tools, make it feel a little too bloated.

teams works so well

Pros

Back when I used Skype regularly, I never expected the move to Teams to feel like such an improvement but it really does. Teams is even better, with simple navigation, simple usability and a range of services that feels hard to beat.

Cons

No downsides come to mind when I think about using Teams. I really can't point to anything I'd fault.

a bit cluttered

Pros

Microsoft Teams covers just about everything in one place which makes team collaboration really convenient and keeps tools from being scattered across different platforms.

Cons

The platform feels overly cluttered. Not every quick two-minute call needs to be recorded and saved and that becomes even more frustrating in a school setting where some teachers aren't very familiar with how to organize things. A lot of them upload materials into different areas and the huge number of external apps you can connect only adds to the confusion.

Great for remote teams

Pros

Teams has really matured into a fully featured collaboration platform since its early versions. One thing that stands out is being able to join a Teams meeting right from the browser without needing a desktop client or any browser plugin. That makes hopping into video calls very convenient. The audio and video quality has been consistently solid and I haven't run into any major problems so far. The floating head view in audience mode is kind of funny although I usually stick with the regular layout. Microsoft has also introduced several GenAI features and Intelligent Recap in particular helps a lot by letting people stay focused during meetings instead of worrying about taking notes. On the chat and channels side, Teams has steadily gained enough functionality to be a real competitor to Slack. Microsoft even moved away from Skype to put more emphasis on Teams.

Cons

Its interface still doesn't feel as flexible or adaptive as Slack so there is a noticeable learning curve at first. Browsing and organizing files can also be a bit confusing although to be fair, that's something other competing platforms struggle with too.

so good

Pros

Getting started with it is very simple and managing everything is just as simple. It really makes teamwork, collaboration and remote work feel effortless for the whole team.

Cons

I honestly don't have anything negative to say about Microsoft Teams since it has been working really well across our organization.

made teamwork easy

Pros

Across our organization, this has turned out to be one of the most powerful tools we use. It's very simple to manage and use and it really helps make collaboration and teamwork much more smooth.

Cons

Microsoft Teams has been performing well for us overall. Up to this point, everything has gone nicely and I haven't run into any issues while using it.

liked it

Pros

The video quality, recordings, background options and avatars are all really good. It can also be used for task assessment which adds to its usefulness. Overall, it's a solid fit for business use.

Cons

This is a powerful collaboration platform but its high memory consumption and occasional lag, especially during video meetings or while switching between modules, can get in the way of productivity.

instant chat

Pros

Chat makes it possible to communicate with the team instantly. I also really appreciate the different channels which let selected groups of people talk together around a shared activity or topic. The dashboards are another strong point because they give clear visibility into ongoing work and show who is assigned to what.

Cons

honestly this tool is very practical overall. The only improvement I would suggest relates to assignments when working as an external provider, it would be helpful to have a visual notification, like a red bubble on the client account, to show that a message is waiting for us, even when we are browsing within their company account.

useful dashboards

Pros

Across departments, from finance through production, Teams keeps collaboration connected in one place. We can jump into video meetings, share files and update project progress directly without having to switch between a bunch of separate apps.

Cons

One thing to watch is that being part of too many channels or chats can quickly turn into notification overload. It takes some discipline to keep the workspace organized and avoid getting buried under constant pings.
