organized chats

Pros

Communication feels really simple on this platform and it does a nice job of keeping everything organized.

Cons

Something I'd change is the pinning limit in chats since being able to pin more than one item would help. The search function could also be a bit better when trying to find specific things.

keeps work connected

Pros

Teams has become a big part of our day-to-day routine. It works really well for getting things done and saves a lot of time by cutting down on in-person meetings while still giving a very similar experience.

Cons

I was just expecting all of the AI features to be included for free.

so convenient

Pros

Having everyone from work connected in one place makes communication feel smooth. It's a really solid piece of software and works very well for team collaboration.

Cons

One of the biggest advantages is how user-friendly it is. I can't stand software that feels overly complicated so this has honestly been a game-changer for me.

Excellent tool!

Pros

Teams has been a really valuable collaboration platform, whether people are working remotely or sitting close by and still need to come together for meetings. It's absolutely a tool that's worth investing in.

Cons

honestly don't have any negative comments to share about Teams.

perfect fit for business meetings

Pros

Setting up and running online meetings with this is really simple. The interface is simple enough that almost anyone can get comfortable with it and the integration with Microsoft email accounts makes it an excellent choice for business use.

Cons

It can still feel a bit confusing for people who are not very comfortable with technology.

fast messaging

Pros

Getting around Microsoft Teams feels very simple and being able to record meetings is a big plus. The layout is simple to navigate and the messaging works quickly without any hassle.

Cons

Nothing to complain about at the moment. Since I started using Microsoft Teams, I haven't run into any issues.

Im satisfied overall

Pros

Works really well for communication, setting up meetings and keeping work organized.

Cons

Can be a bit challenging to get used to it. It also lacks some features that are available in other Microsoft tools and the integrations it offers do not always work reliably. Sharing and editing spreadsheets or notes in Teams can be frustrating because updates do not always sync properly. I have even run into a case where a document was duplicated after being shared through Teams which led our team to work on two separate versions of the same file.

conference calls made simple

Pros

Having people join a conference-style meeting from different locations works really well and the initial setup along with the calendar reminders is very simple to use.

Cons

A limitation with the meeting feature is that if someone else starts the meeting first, we can't always use the web version to call our conference room phone. That means we end up dialing in manually while also trying to manage the screen sharing.

collaboration hub

Pros

There's a wide range of functionality here and it can be configured in a lot of different ways. It feels capable of handling much more than just chat. Planner works well as a team task management tool although it does have some limits because it relies on SharePoint and the storage available under your licensing. The connection with the rest of Microsoft 365 makes it a really strong platform for team collaboration. honestly I just wish our team took advantage of more of what it offers.

Cons

Con is that it can be pretty confusing and difficult to train people on. At times, it feels like you need a certification just to figure out the best way to use it.

useful tool

Pros

One thing that really stands out is how simple it is to use, even though it comes with a lot of apps included. It also gives you plenty of choices in the settings especially for audio, video and backgrounds which makes it very flexible.

Cons

honestly I can't think of any real downsides. If anything, the number of options available might feel a bit overwhelming for someone who is just getting started.

user-friendly fit for work

Pros

This platform is very user friendly and it doesn't take much training to get comfortable with the main features. It also fits into day-to-day work roles without much effort.

Cons

A limitation is that if you don't have an account or aren't signed in, you won't be able to change your background during video calls.

quality recording

Pros

Across different companies and departments, this works really well as a shared tool. The recording quality for video is also very good and it integrates nicely with AV setups.

Cons

Updates can be frustrating because they sometimes change settings without any warning. When that happens, joining a call can take forever and there are times when no one can hear you. It's also not very accessible overall especially since freelancers who don't have a Microsoft subscription can't always join.

Great overall

Pros

The strongest things about MS Teams is that it works as more than just a communication platform. It also serves really well as a place to store documents, letting users save files directly in the relevant chat, team channel or connected app.

Cons

MS Teams is our company's primary communication tool since we operate globally and about 70% of our staff work remotely or at client locations. Roughly once a week, we run into connection issues or audio cutting out during meetings. Most of the time, restarting fixes it and lets you reconnect but occasionally IT has to step in and troubleshoot. Depending on when it happens, it can be anything from a minor annoyance to an unexpected disruption in the middle of the workday.

simple interface

Pros

Using the tool feels simple thanks to its simple interface. Another plus is that not only coworkers but also my clients can reach out and message me through Teams.

Cons

Every now and then, the software runs into problems, like meetings not loading properly or people being unable to join through a Teams link. It seems to be a known issue.

easy to use

Pros

Having chat, video meetings and file sharing all in one place makes this a fantastic collaboration tool. The connection stays reliable even on low-bandwidth internet which is a huge plus. The interface is simple to navigate and the built-in integration with Word, PowerPoint and Excel inside Teams works really well. It also feels very secure so sharing files doesn't feel risky. Live captions during video conferences are another standout feature that adds a lot of value.

Cons

Frustrating part is the constant flood of notifications coming from different chats and channels which can get distracting very quickly. Also, the notification settings don't offer much flexibility for customization. The integration with MS Outlook also feels weak. Quite often, joining call links sent through email calendar invites runs into problems, leaving the Teams app as the only reliable way to enter the meeting.

smooth setup

Pros

Right away, the clean and minimal design makes the platform feel very user-friendly. Getting around the interface is simple, navigation is simple and everything responds quickly. Messaging also works really well, with conversations sending fast and feeling smooth.

Cons

Something I'd still like to see is a bigger selection of emojis for message reactions. Some competing tools support custom emojis and that's something Teams currently doesn't offer.

widely used and familiar

Pros

A lot of engineering companies use it so it already feels familiar. It's simple to use and doesn't take much effort to get comfortable with.

Cons

Teams can be pretty quirky at times and it will occasionally crash out of nowhere for no clear reason.
