powerful hub

Pros

Teams has been incredibly useful for me and I really appreciate how customizable and multi-purpose it is. Things like calendar invites, OneDrive, meetings and more are all built into one place which makes it very convenient to use day to day. It also lets you add apps for the specific features and integrations you want which makes the platform even more flexible.

Cons

A few features could be easier to locate though. Viewing your shifts, for instance, isn't always very adaptive to find.

Great option

Pros

There's a free version available which makes it a practical choice for personal use and small businesses.

Cons

During video calls and screen sharing, it can put a strain on system resources and slow things down.

collaboration game changer

Pros

It's completely changed the way I work with colleagues online and made collaboration much better overall.

Cons

Teams connects with a lot of apps but it can also feel like some of those integrations come with limited access to the app's full features.

teams works everywhere

Pros

Being able to use Microsoft Teams from anywhere is a big plus, whether on the web, a tablet or a phone. It connects really well with other Microsoft apps and it's simple to use for video meetings and remote screen sharing.

Cons

Depends on having a solid internet connection and you also need a Microsoft account to use it.

teams and calls work well

Pros

Setting up teams for projects or ongoing collaboration has been really useful for keeping conversations and documents together. It also works well for online discussions and I can place phone calls to colleagues directly from the platform which is very convenient.

Cons

One part that can get overwhelming is the chat feature. Since I work in HR, I'm involved in a lot of chats with colleagues and the same people often appear across multiple conversations. Because of that, I have to pay close attention to make sure I'm sending messages in the right chat.

efficient team communication

Pros

This is a very effective communication platform. We end up using it regularly, even when everyone is working in the same building.

Cons

The notification settings are difficult to customize properly. It would really help to have an option to subscribe or unsubscribe to specific posts within a team discussion.

helpful for team communication

Pros

I am able to communicate with a large group of coworkers and that is the most useful part of Microsoft Teams.

Cons

In bigger group meetings, there were quite a few lag issues and at times it was hard to hear whoever was speaking.

Pros

Connecting to meetings is simple and the appointment scheduling feature is really useful.

Cons

Icons didn't look very appealing and I would have preferred to see better remote job openings more clearly displayed.

clean interface for daily calls

Pros

Microsoft Teams has been really useful for video calls at work especially for sprints and daily meetings. The interface feels clean and simple so it's simple for everyone on the team to understand and use without much effort.

Cons

One thing that could be better is the search feature since it doesn't always feel very adaptive. I'd recommend integrating Elasticsearch to make searching more accurate and effective.

reliable communication for teamwork

Pros

Keeping in touch with teammates, clients and suppliers is very convenient with MS Teams. It makes communication feel smooth and setting up meetings or placing a quick call to another user takes very little effort.

Cons

A few features still seem poorly thought out to me. In private chat details, for instance, the "Shared" tab shows sections like "Recent," "Files," and "Links," but shared pictures are not easy to locate there. When I need to find one, I usually have to scroll back through the whole conversation which is frustrating and takes too much time.

reliable calls and teamwork

Pros

Skype is a really solid communication tool. The audio and video call quality is excellent and the stream stays consistently clear. The interface is user-friendly and sharing data within a workgroup or during a conversation is simple. Also, the option to make international calls at a lower cost is a real advantage. I would definitely recommend using it.

Cons

When the internet connection is slow or unstable, conversation quality can suffer and sometimes lead to call drops. Also, the Skype mobile app tends to use quite a lot of device resources.

reliable remote work companion

Pros

The interface is simple, the call quality is solid and features like screen sharing and recording work exactly as expected. It's been an excellent fit for remote work and I hardly ever run into problems compared with some other competing platforms.

Cons

One downside is that when files are shared through Teams, any edits can overwrite the original version unless the user downloads and saves a separate copy first.

reliable calls, messy chat channels

Pros

Microsoft Teams works reliably for video meetings and fits well with the rest of the Microsoft ecosystem. The core video conferencing features are simple to use which makes getting started with calls pretty simple.

Cons

Chat channels feel cluttered and hard to navigate and Slack handles that part much better. There's also no real option for spontaneous meetings like Slack's Huddle feature. Another thing that really bothers me is screen sharing during video calls, you can only share a full application or your entire screen, not just a selected portion. I'd prefer to share presentation slides without showing my speaker notes.

Pros

It made it much easier to stay in touch and collaborate with teammates in different parts of the world.

Cons

Trying to locate a specific chat or team can be frustrating when I need it quickly. The search tool doesn't do a very good job of narrowing the results.
