office 365 integration done right

Pros

Almost everything about it works really well. It ties in completely with the Office 365 platform, comes included with most licenses and offers a lot of functionality for the price. It's simple to manage, quick to roll out and you can extend it further with a range of additional apps.

Cons

Nothing specific stands out as a real downside. Every now and then, an update brings a few bugs but that's pretty typical with software in general.

quick setup

Pros

Getting a quick reply through instant messaging is one of the best parts. The screen-sharing feature is also really helpful when I need to train someone remotely or walk them through something and it makes explanations much clearer.

Cons

A limitation is that chat only works with people inside your own agency or business.

remote collaboration made easy

Pros

Teams comes with user-friendly collaboration features and tools that make remote work feel much closer to being in the office, with all the same advantages.

Cons

It relies heavily on having a well-structured SharePoint setup in place and that idea can be hard for new users to understand.

Love it!

Pros

Everything feels very adaptive and simple to use and it lets you handle a lot in one single app. You have chats, video calls, shared files and even the documents you need for work all in the same place so you do not have to keep jumping from one app to another.

Cons

One downside with Teams is that it can be a little slow at times especially when you have a lot of tabs or apps open inside it. Even so, it generally works without any real issues.

best way to stay connected

Pros

It's the most user-friendly way I've used to communicate with other team members.

Cons

At times, the application struggles to launch on my computer and opening apps within Teams can also be hit or miss.

Works perfectly

Pros

Using it feels very simple and one thing I really appreciate is being able to call people outside the organization with the assigned number.

Cons

Nothing serious at the moment. If I had to point out anything, it would probably be the size of the desktop app though in most situations that really isn't much of an issue.

teams calls are smoother

Pros

Teams calls work really well and the side panel that opens during meetings for typing notes is genuinely useful. The integration with Outlook is also very convenient which makes sense since they're both Microsoft products.

Cons

Adding new apps isn't something users can just do on their own since it needs admin approval and even then, the selection of available apps feels limited. Creating channels also feels a little outdated as a process.

most adaptive fit

Pros

We've been using Skype for so long that we honestly don't even remember when we first started. Even now, we still haven't come across anything that feels this adaptive or that matches our needs this well.

Cons

It hasn't really evolved much over the years so a lot of features that are available in other tools are still missing from Skype.

my review

Pros

Skype has been around for a long time and that maturity really shows. Backed by Microsoft, it's a dependable and well-established VoIP platform for online communication, whether you're doing voice or video calls with one person or with a group. It works well for both personal and business use and being free to get started makes it even more appealing.

Cons

One thing to keep in mind is that the feature set hasn't evolved much in recent years. That said, it hasn't necessarily needed major changes especially since Microsoft offers other options like Teams and competitors such as Zoom, 3CX and other VoIP providers now offer many of the same capabilities sometimes with even more features.

video meetings made comfortable

Pros

It's been really convenient for video conferences, simple to use and I haven't had any issues at all with recording or accessing the platform. Everything feels well designed organized and put together nicely.

Cons

I honestly don't have any negatives to point out. They're doing an excellent job and I'm confident they'll keep introducing new features that make the platform even more comfortable and user-friendly over time.

adaptive interface

Pros

The interface is very simple to use and being able to connect real phone numbers is a big plus.

Cons

At times it feels a little outdated and doesn't perform quite as well as some newer competitors.

works across every device

Pros

Being able to use it on all of my devices is a big plus. I've also had all of my colleagues start using it and overall it's very simple to work with.

Cons

It does slow down and the connection drops. When the session time runs out, setting up the meeting again can be a little frustrating. The emoji options in messages are also fairly limited.

dated navigation

Pros

Since my company requires us to use it, I've spent time with the program and the texting feature works well.

Cons

Getting around the platform is confusing. When I needed to call a contact in Teams, it took quite a while to figure out how to do it. It really should be more user-friendly.

solid for internal collaboration

Pros

Within an organization that already runs on Microsoft across the board, Teams fits in really well and does its job effectively.

Cons

Where it falls short is when you need to use it with people outside your organization since that experience doesn't work nearly as well.

awesome calendar integration

Pros

Being able to connect it with my calendar is really useful. I can open Teams and check my schedule for upcoming events right there which is definitely a nice benefit.

Cons

There's still room to improve the features. Things like the emojis and backgrounds feel pretty basic and standard at the moment.

cross-device connection is good

Pros

One thing this platform does really well is let people stay connected with each other regardless of which device they're using. That kind of flexibility makes it very convenient and practical.

Cons

Since it was one of the first tools in this space, a lot of newer platforms have come out with more advanced systems. Because of that, Skype feels a little outdated now.

cuts travel costs well

Pros

Skype has been a really useful way to reduce travel expenses and it's a fast option for meeting with other companies.

Cons

At times, Skype runs into audio problems although that may be due to the user's setup rather than the platform itself.
