improved our efficiency

Pros

Microsoft Teams is simple to use and really helps improve efficiency when working together with teammates.

Cons

Something that would make Microsoft Teams even more useful is adding a text messaging feature so users could message customers directly from their office line within Teams.

great for remote work

Pros

Having so many tools in one place is a big advantage since it replaces a bunch of separate apps I'd normally need. It also works really well with other Microsoft products so opening and editing Excel files or presentation decks is very convenient. Overall, it makes day-to-day work especially in hybrid or remote setups, much faster and more efficient.

Cons

Every now and then it becomes unexpectedly slow and messages can show up several minutes late for no clear reason.

limited group meetings

Pros

Skype was one of the first tools to really popularize video calling and it still offers a secure way to make calls over the internet. Its simple setup makes it accessible for both older adults and younger users.

Cons

Where it falls short is group calling since it doesn't let you quickly set up a meeting with several people just by sharing a single link which makes it less practical for team or group conversations.

does it all...

Pros

This feels like the most fully integrated collaboration platform available right now. It combines file storage through a SharePoint-based backend, voice and video powered by the newer online version of Skype and a security-first design that makes it very dependable.

Cons

One downside is that Microsoft has begun introducing more premium and add-on SKUs.

Excellent product!!

Pros

Communication is much more efficient with it and the Microsoft 365 integrations let us collaborate on shared files without leaving the app which keeps everything in one place.

Cons

Most of the downsides with Teams seem tied more to company restrictions than the platform itself. That said, I'd really like to see a built-in option for setting reminders on messages.

so effortless to use

Pros

Having all the Microsoft apps connected in one place is a big plus and sharing files with others feels very simple.

Cons

One downside is that it makes me a little too reachable. Whenever I'm at my computer, it's hard to fully disconnect and Teams gives management a very direct line to me.

reliable for client meetings

Pros

Since most of my clients work with Microsoft instead of Google, I mainly rely on this for client meetings. It usually runs very reliably and is simple to get set up.

Cons

I haven't run into any issues with this tool at all. Everything has been good.

has everything you need

Pros

Setting up channels and folders is simple and highly customizable and being able to manage users at each level makes it simple to keep communication organized within each group. The separate communication spaces for different teams work really well. The calendar and video sharing tools are also very convenient and it integrates smoothly with Microsoft products. Also, admins get a strong level of control and visibility across everything.

Cons

I honestly don't have any complaints. It has been excellent and I couldn't be happier with it.

perfect for us

Pros

Microsoft Teams has been excellent for collaboration and communication across our team. It's a feature-rich platform with calendar access, messaging, video calls and plenty more built in. The support for multiple accounts is especially helpful when working with external partners.

Cons

The only downside I've noticed is that its functionality is limited when I'm offline. Aside from that, Microsoft Teams has been really solid.

the standard for everyday communication

Pros

It's basically the go-to platform for staying in touch with people, not only for work but for everyday communication too.

Cons

At times, updates aren't communicated clearly and that can end up affecting the overall user experience.

complete company messaging tool

Pros

Skype has been a really useful tool for staying in touch with other people quickly and conveniently. It's used a lot in companies and it was the messaging platform my company relied on which made communication work very well for us.

Cons

These days, the biggest issue with Skype is how long it takes to roll out newer features. Other similar tools usually introduce those updates much earlier so Skype tends to feel behind.

instant chat

Pros

Being able to schedule meetings and send links either through the meeting planner or by creating my own email and adding the link has been really useful. I also appreciate that meetings can run without time limits. The chat feature is another big plus since it helps me stay in instant contact with others.

Cons

I do not really have any cons. At first, I would have mentioned having trouble starting meetings because I kept "losing" the link. Once I realized I could just click the calendar icon and join from the scheduled meeting, that problem went away. It turned out to be more of a user mistake than an actual issue with Teams, lol.
