So good!

Pros

Layout is very user-friendly. Posting comments, sending pictures and checking notifications to see whether they're in the office all work really well.

Cons

One thing that bothers me is the logout process. When I try to sign out, it doesn't fully log me out. It could be a glitch on their side but I'd still prefer the app to log me out completely.

It's a good product

Pros

The apps have been very stable, with clear video and audio during calls and I also appreciate that it works properly in a web browser.

Cons

Can take a while to launch and the licensing setup feels a bit more complicated than it should be.

teams keeps collaboration flowing

Pros

MS Teams plays a big role in how our company works together day to day. It connects really well with Outlook, SharePoint and Planner so we can schedule meetings, share documents, manage projects and keep files organized all in one place. The screen sharing feature is especially useful particularly when working alongside Planner and SharePoint.

Cons

A part that gets frustrating is the file copy/move interface. It shows recent or favorite locations but there's no practical way to search for a folder or destination if it's not already suggested. A basic file-explorer style navigation would make this much better.

staying connected all day

Pros

Lets me stay in touch with my students outside of class whenever they need help with assignments. It's also something we rely on throughout the day to communicate with other teachers and the administration.

Cons

My only issue is that new message notifications don't always pop up when they should.

Working remotely is much more manageable because Teams keeps me connected with everyone at work.

clean app design

Pros

Since it's built right into Microsoft 365, it works perfectly with Word, Excel and the other apps which makes collaborating with others really efficient.

Cons

It can make your computer run slower especially if you're using an older machine.

excellent cross-platform team chat

Pros

Works really well across all kinds of operating systems. It comes with a full set of features needed to stay connected and communicate with the team. I haven't noticed any latency so far which has been a big plus.

Cons

At startup, it does show a few minor issues and slight delays.

great platform for team planning

Pros

It's been a dependable platform for our company and others as well. It works nicely with other Microsoft tools and brings communication, scheduling and project planning into one central place.

Cons

The part I like least is how the calendar handles opening events. Each time I open one, it jumps back to the current week which makes it frustrating to pull and move details from a previous week especially when doing reporting.

works well for broad compatibility

Pros

A lot of people already use Microsoft so it works well for a wide range of users.

Cons

It uses a lot of system resources and without a powerful processor, it can really slow your computer down.

all-in-one workspace

Pros

Having so many tools in one place is a big plus. Chat, video meetings, file sharing and app integrations are all built into the same workspace which helps keep everything more efficient.

Cons

One issue I keep running into is with my external webcam on the new Teams app. It worked really well in the older version but now it lags a lot and I haven't been able to find a solution.

free features win

Pros

Using it for messaging and as a central place to store and access documents has been really simple.

Cons

The Teams Meeting feature could be a bit more adaptive since it can be confusing at times. The Outlook integration also feels a little odd.

everyone loves it!

Pros

Microsoft Teams has been really valuable for building a collaborative space where everyone can work together. It helps keep communication across our organization consistent and having the ability to share resources in one central place makes things much more manageable. For students, it works well as a single place to create and grade assignments, build digital literacy skills and access resources and links without having to jump between different platforms.

Cons

When it comes to my younger elementary students, I still prefer the more welcoming and child-friendly feel of Google Classroom over Teams. If Microsoft Teams offered a way to make the overall environment more suited to younger children, I would be much more likely to use it with that age group. That said, it has still been an extremely useful tool when working with adults.

solid team messaging for small orgs

Im impressed

Pros

Teams works really well when you're collaborating with others who already use the Microsoft platform. It's also a solid way to message teammates without having to share any of your personal contact information.

Cons

The downside is that not everyone had Microsoft available. We also attempted to use it for video meetings but since many people were already used to Zoom, it was difficult getting them to log in and set everything up.

Easy real-time collaboration

Pros

It is an efficient platform for communication and teamwork. The part I find most valuable is its meeting and video functionality. Its videoconferencing capabilities are quite advanced, allowing not only high-quality video calls but also features like meeting recordings, screen sharing and real-time captions.

Cons

At times, I run into message synchronization issues especially when the internet connection is unstable.

simple layout

Pros

The layout is adaptable and well organized so it's simple to keep track of everything you need. Being able to add a second device to a meeting is a really valuable feature too.

Cons

One thing that gets annoying is the Teams status sometimes switching to "Be right back" even while I'm actively working on another screen. It usually won't change back to "Available" until I click back into the Teams window.
