Asset Essential/Brightly Review

Pros

It's so easy to submit and review work orders for different tasks. I especially value the mobile functionality.

Cons

The frequency of email updates is excessive. The time in the queue doesn't always reflect the responsiveness to a request. Tracking KPIs could be made simpler, and the interface could be streamlined.

A Days Work

Pros

I'm grateful for the ease of eliminating paper-based methods. The capabilities to document material purchases and associated details are much-needed and overdue.

Cons

Occasionally, the system runs extremely slowly. It hasn't occurred recently, but when it does, it's time to call it a day.

Pros

The ability to customize my page is incredibly convenient. It helps me stay informed about upcoming tasks and completed work. For inventory control, I can easily identify items that need to be ordered for stock.

Cons

I haven't discovered a way for the system to alert me when our parts clerk checks in parts for an asset without actively checking myself.

Solid System

Pros

The initial setup is effortless, especially when it comes to adding assets and equipment. Investing time in the beginning pays off during fieldwork. For example, having pump serial and model numbers readily available in Asset Essentials saves a significant amount of time. The option to customize reports is valuable. Additionally, updating work orders with parts on order information or scheduling details and automatically notifying the submitter via email is a great feature.

I asked all my staff, but none of them had a response to this question.

Well worth the time & money investment

Pros

Asset Essentials has transformed our maintenance tracking processes in the facility. It has significantly simplified record-keeping and KPI monitoring.

Cons

Since implementing Asset Essentials in 2020, the mobile app has consistently been a source of frustration. Our users have experienced no issues or complaints with the website, but we continuously receive reports regarding the malfunctioning of the mobile app. It would be preferable to have a proper mobile website for Asset Essentials that we can direct our team to when the app isn't functioning.

Benefits of using Asset Essentials

Pros

I find it effortless to enter work orders and assign them to the appropriate trades. Whenever I seek assistance, the person I contact dedicates ample time to address all my inquiries.

Cons

Creating different views for work orders and grouping those that need closure required some learning. We implemented single sign-on for users, coordinating with our IT department to ensure everyone had access to the program.
