“good tool but tends to freeze
Pros
It keeps me up to date on maintenance schedules across our whole team.
Cons
it freezes while I am working and that can be really frustrating when I'm right in the middle of something important.

“easy to learn but no mobile link
Pros
As a new member of the team, I picked up the system fairly fast. At first the interface can feel a bit intimidating, yet after some use it becomes surprisingly smooth. Working with it has been consistently smooth and I find it to be an indispensable part of our processes that really enhances how we handle tasks and projects.
Cons
Right now I can't link the app to my mobile device which makes it hard for me to keep up with work orders while I'm out of the office or on the go.

“More features but less interactive
Pros
Honestly, I love how the 'create request' option simplifies the entire workflow, it speeds everything up considerably. I'm finding there are far more features available here than what we used to have with SchoolDude.
Cons
After having used SchoolDude for years, using it is really annoying, I miss how interactive the other system was. I still can't work out how to duplicate a work order and that seems like a basic feature that should be smooth.

“best for big teams but has bugs
Pros
this system lets me manage user hierarchies from one central place, assigning different roles like technicians and team leads without jumping between tools. Pulling data straight into our Looker dashboards is incredibly useful , it gives both the maintenance teams and management, locally and centrally, great visibility into how operations are running and what the work order trends look like over time. The QR code capability is brilliant, our crews can simply scan a code to log a work order and mark tasks complete right there on site. We depend on it heavily for asset management across multiple facilities in different countries, keeping tabs on everything from machines to growing systems and general facility equipment. Having both a mobile app and a website really improves the overall user experience. Typically we use the app when we're actually working hands-on with equipment onsite while the website is what we turn to for planning ahead and organizing work.
Cons
mobile app has been a weak spot for us , it's not great and we've run into bugs on several occasions. Lately our client experience has shifted a lot because of Brightly's updates and that change has introduced uncertainty since we aren't clear on the company's long-term direction. A number of contacts I worked with have left the organization which hasn't helped. One obvious missing feature is a calendar view that was Airtable's main selling point compared to this platform. The software can also be pretty slow at times which frustrates people and makes some reluctant to bother logging work orders. Overall both the website and the app could feel much more modern and inviting to encourage friendlier, more consistent use.

“simple and user friendly interface
Pros
I find the interface very easy to use, it makes collecting every piece of information I need for preventive maintenance and for keeping track of downtime incredibly simple and clear. What really impresses me is their customer support and they jump into any problem I'm experiencing right away, often resolving it on the spot or guiding me toward a temporary workaround while they work on a permanent fix.
Cons
At times I get frustrated because the response times are slower than I'd expect when I need assistance with downtime management, there have been occasions where I am left waiting well beyond what feels reasonable to get clear answers about the software's features.

“Solid Platform with Room for Growth
Pros
Compared to the system we used previously, the interface seems much more easy overall. I can drill down into details much more granularly in my work now and that really helps me improve accuracy.
Cons
Its quite hard to use at first because I had to use so many different screens, tabs and unfamiliar terminology before it made sense.

“good for tracking but tedious for data
Pros
the ability to upload every asset and tie each one to a particular location and person is amazing, so when I'm troubleshooting or preparing for audits I can quickly locate what I need , the whole process has become much simpler and more convenient.
Cons
When I am adding assets it feels tedious because the system forces you to follow their exact template and type in every field manually or else add items one at a time. On top of that, assigning items to teammates is a pain since they must be granted Full User status rather than being able to act as a simple requester and I'm also annoyed that there's no DocuSign integration available to align approvals.

“History is great, needs fixes
Pros
Support team is very helpful whenever I've needed help. What really stands out is how well it records historical maintenance data that has been essential for making informed cost decisions at my company.
Cons
There are missing features I need and I run into bugs occasionally sometimes which can be pretty frustrating. I'd love to see more customization options, or at least make the current ones also easier to find and actually use.

“Smooth tracking with one email gap
Pros
Using this program, I find tracking work items and managing inventory incredibly smooth. The layout is very simple, so I'm able to move between different sections without getting lost. My daily to-dos become a lot easier to handle when everything I need is neatly organized together in one place like this.
Cons
There's no option for me to schedule automated daily emails that deliver specific dashboard reports and having that would significantly align my workflow.

“Looks premium but coaching costs too much
Pros
the design and color palette make it look polished and premium which I truly appreciate.
Cons
I find the individualized coaching packages are priced quite high and I struggle to justify paying those steep fees.

“huge help but frustratingly slow
Pros
It is incredibly helpful in hitting our maintenance goals while minimizing machine and plant downtime and that reduction in downtime has noticeably increased our productivity and profitability at every site we operate.
Cons
Sometimes the server performance really annoys me , there are occasions when everything drags and I end up just staring at spinning wheels while pages slowly load. Whenever I need to push through several updates at once, the sluggish response makes it hard to keep momentum. The batch processes are also slower than expected, which becomes frustrating when I'm trying to power through a large volume of tasks quickly.

“Amazing support with small printing headaches
Pros
Their live chat is amazing, whenever I run into an issue, someone responds in minutes. The whole support crew is so helpful and friendly which really changes the experience when you need fast help.
Cons
Sometimes it's a issue to find printer software that works smoothly with the label-printing features. We've come up with some workarounds, so it's not a deal-breaker and is manageable.

“smooth software & perfectly fit for us
Pros
What I particularly like is how smooth it is to change and extend individual settings. My team is able to create and monitor work orders with ease and that has really smoothed out our workflow significantly.
Cons
So far I haven't come across any features that I dislike for what we require at the moment.

“Transformed my mobile work
Pros
Having the option to open, update and finish work orders directly from my phone while I'm working out in the field has completely transformed how I manage tasks and has made my daily workflow much smoother.
Cons
I can't remove former employees from the system and that leaves it cluttered while creating possible security risks.

“Clean app but painful setup
Pros
What I mostly like is how easy the app is to move around in, it covers the key features I rely on and avoids adding needless bells and whistles that just clutter things up.
Cons
getting it up and running for a small company that doesn't already use a CMMS is pretty frustrating , the onboarding takes far longer than it ought to because the platform feels built with mid-to-large organizations in mind and assumes you already have systems and workflows in place.

“Detailed yet user friendly system
Pros
It keeps all of our information and assets neatly stored within a single, reliable database that meets our team's needs effectively.
Cons
the cross-module functionality feels fairly constrained to me and the GIS mapping tools are somewhat rudimentary compared to what I need.

“best for admins but clunky for techs
Pros
the administrative tools here really show promise, once they're configured correctly, I can extract a huge amount of actionable intelligence from the mountain of data the system gathers.
Cons
the web interface for field techs is pretty rough, even though the admin side functions well (apart from that connector tool which I think is awful), the screens the technicians use are cluttered with far too much information. That dense layout gives me genuine eye strain and feels really overwhelming when I'm trying to get work done on-site.

“Lifesaver with filters
Pros
the mobile app functions really well. Sending work orders straight to my techs through the app has been a total game-changer, they're even able to complete and close jobs right from their phones. Prior to this, we were relying entirely on paper which honestly felt completely chaotic.
Cons
I am disappointed by the reporting tools, they really fall short. The built-in reports are inflexible and tough to tailor and I keep wishing we had the ability to create two or three custom reports that actually meet our needs. What aggravates me most is the poor support for custom fields that are vital to our workflows. We essentially can't generate useful reports that include those fields and that significantly undermines our capacity to monitor and analyze key data.

“Clean interface but flawed planning
Pros
What I like is how clean and simple the interface is and I really value that the desktop view matches what our technicians see on their mobile apps. When I set up the asset hierarchy it feels interactive and flexible , it adjusts nicely to different organizational structures and needs.
Cons
I don't have a reliable method to manage parent-child work orders or to monitor service contracts effectively. The capacity planner does help with workload visibility but it fails to consider when team members are off or otherwise unavailable, so I frequently end up assigning work to people who aren't actually there to do it.

“InteractivePlatform with Great Logic
Pros
Having quality data and reports at my fingertips is fantastic, the customization options are spot-on and let me set everything up exactly how I need it.
Cons
It can be annoying that the platform locks so many features to global admins and Brightly technicians, especially when I frequently need those capabilities for my day-to-day tasks and projects.
