“Great software with lots of customization!

Pros

The features and pricing of Asset Tiger make it excellent for managing both short-term and long-term item checkouts.

Cons

While there are plenty of features and customization options, I wish I could generate a check-out report for locations that includes the assigned person. Currently, I can only run it by who the asset is checked out to, but I'd like to see which items are at a specific location and the person responsible for them. It would also be great if assets could be checked out to the person who reserved them without retyping their name.

It's almost plug and play. New users can learn it quickly.

Cons

Integration with other software is very limited. This might be the reason we eventually stop using AssetTiger, as it doesn't integrate with Azure AD or Zendesk.

This product is very easy to navigate. Setting up and using it daily is smooth. I strongly recommend it.

I've been using this for over two years to track assets in my furnished rental apartments. It's not designed for this purpose, but it works perfectly! I can sort items not just by apartment, but also by room. Highly recommend!

Cons

For me, the pricing felt a bit high, but that's because of how I'm using it. If I were using the software as intended, it would definitely be worth the cost.

Easy to use and migrate from an existing system. This product stands out for its value for money and provides all the features we need to track and manage our assets from an information security perspective.

It lacks a built-in software or information inventory function for tracking different types of information, including sensitivity and data flows between assets.

“Reasonable learning curve, but it does the trick

Pros

Reporting is excellent. If you've detailed your assets well (using Categories, locations, descriptions, etc.), you can organize reports in many ways to suit your needs.

Cons

Reserving and checking in/out assets is cumbersome and often not worth the effort, even though it could prevent double-booking between locations. Scheduling yearly or multi-year maintenance is tricky, as you have to mark each asset individually as 'in progress' or 'completed.' A mass update option would be helpful.

Pros

I love how easy it is to set up this program and app. I had the warehouse guy set it up with little to no training. The stickers are easy to apply, though on plastic surfaces, I recommend riveting them in. Training field technicians is simple, and they find it easy to use.

Cons

I find the reporting features could be more user-friendly. The reports are excellent, but saving them is cumbersome. It would be helpful to have an email report of assets that haven't been updated in a while. Additionally, a user activity feed would be useful to identify and address users who aren't engaging with the program.

I would like to customize the format of exported reports to make sorting and filtering easier.

Tracking equipment is simple and barcode integration is a bonus.

Cons

Search terms don't always yield the desired results, and creating employee users can be tedious. Additionally, features like reservations and tracking items and employee use history could be refined.

Adding custom fields and sorting by them or predefined fields allows for tracking any asset or inventory.

Cons

Uploading can be a hassle, especially when adding many custom fields. Uploading pictures can also be tricky.

“Simple to use asset tracking

AssetTiger is relatively simple to use. You can add all your assets, check them out to employees, and add various information like brand, status, location, category, and department. The mobile app is great, with an intuitive UI, and lets you scan assets by barcodes, making logging assets much faster.

Cons

There aren't many integrations available with this software. It would be useful to connect it to Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Apple Business Manager, or other directory services/device management platforms. It might be too simple for some needs.

“Excellent Easy Customizable Asset Tracking Program that can use Barcode Scanners

It's incredibly easy and customizable. Our old tracking program was custom-built, and when the programmer passed away, I found Asset Tiger. I tested it, customized it to match our old system, uploaded 30,000 assets, and had it running within two weeks. Amazing! We only use it for tracking, our accounting system handles depreciation and disposals.

Cons

We urgently need a specific feature. AssetTiger attempted to add it as an Event Date, but it doesn't function as we need. it should AUTO POPULATE with the last date the asset was interacted with (scanned, edited, moved, etc.). While there are numerous reports to see the last event date, checking 25,000 assets individually isn't practical. Furthermore, it doesn't show which assets lack an event date, which is essential for us given our $19 million in assets. We also have multiple offices, and assets frequently move between them. We use the information to identify items missing during our annual asset count (indicating loss or theft), ensure billing for equipment added after a customer contract begins, verify vehicle movement for insurance purposes, and assess equipment utilization. Currently, I have to run several reports and upload the data to get a "Count Date" for the last time an asset was "touched." AssetTiger would be ideal if it could do this automatically.

Easy to use. The mobile app is excellent and can use the phone camera to scan barcodes. Customizable to suit your needs.

Cons

Nothing major, but I would like the 'search criteria' button to always be available.

We needed asset management software for tracking IT hardware, and AssetTiger seemed perfect for us. We purchase enough inventory tags to use the software for free, which is fantastic.

Searching for assets assigned to specific employees is more cumbersome than it needs to be.

Deployment and implementation were simple, and customer service is responsive to questions. There are many tools and features to adapt to your needs, depending on your goals. Great layout for reporting and an intuitive platform. Very satisfied.

Asset Tiger allowed me to label, scan, and track inventory. Features like Grant/Year help school systems pull inventory reports based on grants.

Cons

A feature that notifies you about end-of-life devices would be beneficial. The software was quite easy to navigate and greatly assisted me, especially since there was no electronic tracking when I began my current job.

Pros

My favorite aspect of this software is how easily I can find out who has what. If I need to locate a device, I can do so quickly with the QR code asset sticker. I can also track when warranties will expire.

Cons

The UI on the app could use improvements. It feels like they tried to pack too much into a small space. It would be better if you could type in an account/location to find it rather than scrolling through a long list. The pricing under their subscriptions can also be a bit confusing.
