“monitors warranties and contracts

Pros

I find this tool easy to set up and work with. What I like most is that I'm easily able to monitor warranties and contracts. Customizable email alerts for those warranties and contracts help me keep them current.

Cons

Up until now, I haven't really come across any features that I would say I dislike.

“Lets me import data directly from Excel

Pros

Love how I can import data from an Excel sheet directly into this software and it really helps organize my workflow.

Cons

On the start page, I can't find users in the search options which makes locating people more tedious for me.

“Easy to check equipment in and out

Pros

We handle a large number of IT assets and the mobile app which includes a built-in barcode scanner, makes it extremely simple for us to check equipment in and out.

Cons

I do wish it offered an API or built-in integrations with other platforms. Most asset management solutions I've used let you connect directly to Service Management or helpdesk systems. It would be far more powerful if it supported those linkages. As it stands, I still find it a solid asset management option but the lack of integration limits its usefulness in larger IT ecosystems.

I find the search feature solid and I really enjoy how much detail I can record for every single item, it's genuinely useful.

Cons

While editing existing items or when I'm disposing of items, I find that there are a lot of unnecessary clicks I have to perform just to scroll through all the different screens required to complete those tasks.

It's pretty easy to use and to show others how it works because every feature and placement within the software feels user-friendly and makes sense.

Cons

I'd like to see Active Directory integration and broader choices for building custom reports for example, being able to access the raw database to create my own SQL reports would be very helpful.

“Amazing asset tracking features

Pros

Setting it up at our school was not complicated. I especially appreciate that when I buy labels they give me credit toward the subscription which helps cover the cost. The system is highly configurable to match our school's needs. I'm also a fan of the asset-tracking features and the option to assign each device to a specific person. That functionality has been very useful now that every student has a device.

Cons

I wish the audit and inventory process were simpler. What I want is a way to walk through and scan all our devices in one go and then instantly receive a report showing what's missing. Currently there's an audit tool but even with the mobile app there's no true continuous scanning. I have to scan an item, submit, then repeat the cycle many times. It would be much better if that flow were more organized and efficient.

Pros

I can rapidly scan Chromebook barcodes to assign devices to students or classrooms.

Cons

Sometimes I really want to check out an asset again without having to check it back in first.

Pros

It's super easy to view and pull out the information I need.

Cons

I find it frustrating that there's no support for creating custom reports or for getting information about backups.

Pros

I'm a big fan of the top hot-buttons. It's really simple to view what's inside every single category.

Cons

My preference is for the maintenance features to be a little more detailed. I need triggers tied to hour meters, odometers and specific exact timeframes.

Pros

Being able to switch between my phone and my desktop so I can access equipment and inventory is something I rely on.

Cons

I honestly can't come up with any complaints right now. In my experience the software simply does everything it needs to do.

I've found it to be user-friendly to operate and it helps us monitor all of our technology assets!

Pros

The easiest part was getting it set up. I could upload asset information using an Excel template no matter how many items I had. When moving from another system, I simply exported everything to Excel and imported it with their provided template. I also find the cost analysis and reporting capabilities among the standout features of this software.

Cons

I wish the status attribute was simpler to use.

Pros

it's a free, multi-user system that still offers adjustable access levels and role-based controls.

Cons

We find it difficult to integrate with other platforms like O365 or Active Directory.

“Convenient setup

Pros

I've found it really convenient to use and set up. I don't even need a barcode scanner and it still does everything I need.

Cons

I can't search by past or historical asset assignments and there is no auto-fill or suggested naming convention for particular items so when I make a typo those assets often fail to appear as part of the same "group".

Pros

I'm really happy with the price, particularly when I buy the tags directly from them. The software itself is pretty easy to handle. It currently fulfills our needs.

Cons

The search field needs a lot of work and it's pretty hard to use. I would love to see integrations with other services like Google and JAMF added.

“Centralized solution

Pros

The ability to see every company asset in one central place has completely changed things for me! From that single view, handling upkeep and tracking becomes so much simpler. I can easily drill down to the exact asset I need to inspect and it really feels like the AssetTiger team anticipated every practical detail.

Cons

Honestly the software is so well built that I can't come up with any features I'd want improved at the moment.

“Simple to get the hang of

Pros

We keep our costs down because we buy enough asset stickers each year to offset the expense. The program and its GUI are simple so people at all skill levels pick it up quickly and use it without trouble. There are also a solid number of reports available to run.

Cons

One frustrating limitation I experienced is that when a user's email address is deleted, I cannot assign or reuse that same email again under any circumstances.

“Keeps track of all equipment

Pros

I can keep tabs on all our equipment, know who has which items and check what's installed and where.

Cons

After I've created an asset, I'm unable to go back and add notes to it which is frustrating.

“Highly customizable

Pros

I'm able to customize it completely and I find it very user-friendly. Exporting and importing data is simple, it stores photos and the reporting is solid.

Cons

I'd like to see stronger auditing tools and more comprehensive audit reporting capabilities.
