Pros
We find it really simple to search for devices and handle checking them in and out and we also appreciate that we can generate reports showing what's currently checked out.
Cons
Would love it if the system let me check a device in or out without having to open each device's detail page first which would save me a lot of time.

Pros
I mainly employ it for student and faculty check-ins/check-outs at a student-run help desk. It's easy to set up and to teach students how to use, while also allowing me to limit access to particular pieces of equipment.
Cons
I need reporting to give me more flexibility, like the capability to build custom reports using SQL-style queries or an equivalent option.

“Useful scanning feature
Pros
What I like about it is how userfriendly it is and that it lets me customize every field I need. The scanning feature is incredibly handy since I can walk around the office, scan assets and update records on the go.
Cons
I'd prefer a way to 'save setup' configurations for different reports so I don't have to reconfigure the setup every single time my reporting needs change or I switch to a different report.

I think it's an excellent no-cost way to try the service especially useful if you only need to track a handful of items. The SaaS approach is interesting because the platform is effectively free when you buy the physical tags. I find the web interface makes adding and monitoring assets simple and the company keeps the software fresh with frequent maintenance and build updates.
Cons
The standalone iOS app still needs work. It's better than before but not where I'd like it to be. Attaching documents via the web feels clumsy and they're hard to find later. Having predefined categories like 'manuals', 'specifications', 'brochures', etc that I can assign would make searching and organizing so much easier.

Pros
Really appreciate being able to assign categories to each asset and the bulk-update option for assets is fantastic as it helps keep everything consistent across the board.
Cons
When I use the dispose asset feature, it still counts toward my asset total which is frustrating. I would love a way to mark an asset as disposed so we can easily track the items we recycle.

Cons
I don't really have any major complaints. Maybe the one drawback is the lack of built-in language support but I usually rely on Google Translate which gets the job done.

Cons
We have a hard time editing saved reports. It's tricky to change them after they're created.

What I love most about it is how simple it makes tracking the items I constantly need to keep tabs on whether I'm working from a computer, using the phone app or scanning with a barcode reader. I can quickly tell where an asset is and who currently has it and the activity history is quite useful for helping me trace an item if it ever goes missing.
Cons
I've run into trouble getting a Bluetooth or USB barcode scanner to cooperate with AssetTiger when I'm checking assets in and out. The phone app itself works great but being able to reliably use a wireless barcode scanner would really take this software up a notch for my day-to-day workflow.

For the price, this tool packs fantastic features. It gives me everything needed to run my small business. The search tools are simple to use yet I can dig much deeper with advanced filters when required. Having the option for a barcode scanner is a nice touch even though I personally don't make use of it. I'm a big fan of the mobile app--most tasks I perform in AssetTiger I handle from my tablet. Being able to visit an office or location and perform an audit on the spot is incredibly convenient.
Cons
There isn't a lot about the software that bothers me but if I had to pick something it's the left-hand navigation. I wish that pane were organized a bit better so my most frequently used features showed up more prominently for faster access.

First off, I love how easy it is to use, basic tasks feel user-friendly. I also appreciate that there are tons of tutorial videos that walk me through nearly every problem I might run into with the product. And since it's a cloud-based service, I never have to worry about downloads or installations which saves time and effort.
Cons
I think the search functionality could use improvements to support a broader set of search filters, for example allowing searches by asset-specific details like a PC's MAC address.

Since my program uses a lot of costly equipment, I like being able to see which students have items, when they checked them out and how long they've had them because it makes management so much easier.
Cons
I'd really like the option to customize what specific information is stored with an asset or at minimum to rename asset fields (for example, change "Model No." to "ISBN" when necessary for our purposes).

We use it mainly for assigning and tracking computer gear. It's simple to operate for that purpose. The check-in/check-out workflow is easy and has gotten rid of the bulky paper forms we used before. I would strongly recommend it for this particular need. Over time we'll add every piece of hardware to the system, including older items though some records may lack details like purchase price or vendor.
Cons
I really can't think of anything I dislike about the product. It's simple to install and use. That said, running this as a one-person operation means I don't have bandwidth to explore every feature so I'm not in a position to judge how thoroughly all of its capabilities perform.

It is reasonable priced. The platform is convenient and I needed very little time to get new IT folks up to speed after setup. It's easy to manage, includes barcode scanning and lets you customize table entries to record "unusual" location details. I can also add extra custom fields per asset to capture specific info.
Cons
It kicks me out whenever I log into another session which gets really annoying when I switch back and forth between desktop and mobile apps.

I'm impressed by how user-friendly the interface is. I can quickly create custom database fields to fit my needs when the default ones don't cover everything I require.
Cons
If I had to nitpick, I'd like to see more customization options available. That said, it doesn't get in the way of our tracking and overall this remained our best ready-made choice for the team.
