Equipment Management

Pros

I value the QR code scan function because it removes the necessity for paperwork entirely. Navigating Cheqroom is much faster for me compared to using a spreadsheet. Moreover, it instantly updates all information, ensuring unparalleled precision.

Cons

The mobile software isn't as reliable as the desktop version. It can be buggy and randomly close. Additionally, it's annoying that the due date time always needs resetting.

OK product - poor customer service

Pros

When it was time to renew, we faced a price increase of over 240% without any notification. After deciding not to renew, I was told that retrieving our devices/data would be quite challenging. There is a strong possibility that they can't or won't export my data into an Excel file, meaning I could lose everything. This seems extremely unreasonable and not worth the risk!

Cons

You can't retrieve data if you choose not to renew.

My go-to equipment management platform.

Pros

Tagging all my equipment with asset tags has saved me a lot of time. When I'm in a hurry, I can easily use the mobile app to check equipment in or out. I also keep my invoices linked with the relevant equipment, so I never have to search for them. Since multiple people use our gear, the flagging feature is essential in our workflow to avoid having broken equipment on set. This feature prevents loss of time and motivation.

Cons

There are some UX/UI issues that could be improved, but once you're familiar with it, it works fine.

Easy to use

Pros

The mobile application and barcode reader are easy to navigate. Our team can reserve items in bulk or sets. Cheqroom serves as a handy repository for swift information retrieval.

Cons

For items needing frequent calibration, a workaround is to enter a warranty period. Adding a calibration date feature with reminders would be beneficial.

Simple, Effective and Easy to Use

Pros

While initially tedious to tag and input each equipment piece, Cheqroom simplified the process. We sought uncomplicated software with sufficient capabilities to justify our investment, and Cheqroom fulfills all our requirements.

Cons

Some features useful to our business are missing, like the ability to delete an item and requiring users to scan a barcode for checkout. However, I understand not every feature can be fulfilled for all businesses. The Cheqroom team has satisfactorily addressed my questions and requests.

Great app for keeping track of your tools

Pros

I love being able to track tools and have pictures, making it simple to select the tool for checkout.

Cons

Tracking the location of tools can be cumbersome. We created an "extra info" category to manage this, but adding a new location to this category isn't simple.

Cheqroom is a custom fit Musical Instrument checkout management.

Pros

Cheqroom has many advantages over other asset tracking solutions. The navigation is efficient and offers many ways to locate items, make reservations, checkouts, and generate reports. The reports and automated communications are very customizable with parameters that can pull information from item or contact details. Importing and exporting information is well-designed, and the SSO integration saves time from a management perspective.

Cons

Our only drawback is the cost. Cheqroom is cheaper than major competitors, but lesser services with fewer features exist.

Pros

Easy to use. I can track our tool inventory on a daily basis effortlessly.

Cons

Extending the checkout duration of a product could be simpler. Checking out inventory can sometimes be confusing on the app; it's easier on the computer since not all tools in inventory always appear.

Essential software!

Pros

It simplifies tracking all equipment checkouts, both past and present.

Cons

Affordable and easy to use equipment tracking app

Pros

Integration with Active Directory, QR codes, and the mobile app makes it easy for our staff to assist customers. The dashboard provides all the necessary information about the status of equipment, reservations, and loans. The ability to create kits is a plus, and automated and customized notifications save a lot of time and effort.

Cons

There's not much to dislike. However, setting up multiple business hours for different schedules would be useful to prevent restrictions on early reservations. Additionally, duplicate usernames in CHEQROOM can cause issues with AD updates, though this affects a small number of users and we have workarounds.

Great product for tracking loaner equipment

Pros

This software is easy to navigate and very user-friendly. It enables my organization to create records for checkouts and reservations, and maintain information about all our loaned equipment. I like that it's simple to personalize data either independently or with their assistance. The support team is incredibly helpful when required.

Cons

Great user experience and automation

Pros

This software automated all the manual processes we used for demo equipment loans within our sales teams. It now helps us track everything in real-time and gain useful insights from the reports provided.

Cons

I would add more customization options for reservation permissions, enhance reporting tools, and configure notification emails. Mobile notifications aren't enabled yet.

Solid Structure and Process, UI & UX need improvement

Pros

Multi-use sign-out and accountability on equipment were the most immediate benefits when first implemented. Planning and reserving equipment was also ideal for project planning and evaluating resources with other leaders to accommodate changing project timelines and requirements. Desktop and app integration was a good feature.

Cons

I found the check-in and check-out process challenging, possibly due to our implementation. In-house support from an engineering lab leader handled sourcing and implementation. The process had enough barriers that I avoided it unless necessary. I rarely used it unless I had a specific request.

Pros

What I like most is the ease of tracking company assets. The flagging and custody functions are very helpful for our tracking needs.

Cons

The reporting functions are what I like the least. The reports mainly focus on checking in and out items, which we don't use much.

Pretty good software

Pros

I found Cheqroom easy to use. Also, the possibility to use it via an app is fantastic.

Cons

I dislike the lack of flexibility. Cheqroom feels restrictive. Also, the support before purchasing was inadequate, with no response to my emails.

One of the best equipment handling softwares

Pros

It is very intuitive to work with, and the customer support, as well as the tutorials and feedback, are incredible. You feel there are real people behind it, and you can always reach them when needed. They even implemented a few features in their app after I requested them.

Cons

I'm not sure, maybe minor issues like duplicating assets or renaming them, but overall the experience is positive.

Solid equipment management system

Pros

Once you get accustomed to Cheqroom, it's easy to navigate and see existing reservations and available gear. There's a lot of hidden functionality. I likethe emailed reminders as well.

Cons

There are extra steps to book gear that slow down the process and sometimes leave team members without a fully checked-out reservation. Some UX elements could be more intuitive and take time to get used to.

Fantastic - but could be even greater

Pros

The ease of use, barcode scanning, and the convenience of automatically tracking items and kits with barcode scanning are great features.

Cons

The absence of a request and approve feature is a drawback. Currently, users can book equipment directly. As an enterprise, we need to allocate resources, so it would be helpful for users to request items and have admins approve or deny bookings. Additionally, booking hourly resources like meeting rooms without requiring check-in/out would be beneficial, along with greater integration with Slack for individual notifications.
