Two Years of eMaint x4 Experience, Now Transitioning to x5
Pros

The work order management features of eMaint x4 and x5 are exceptional. However, integrating condition monitoring into x4 was challenging, and we're yet to determine if x5 will address this. The marketing team assures us that x5 will perform well in this regard.

Cons

The support team at x4 didn't provide much assistance when explaining how to integrate handheld and fixed vibration measuring tools into our condition monitoring workflow. We haven't reached that stage yet with the x5 rollout.

eMaint is the way to go
Pros

The customizable reports are fantastic. They are easy to configure, allowing for manual or automated generation without the need for external programs. Moreover, there are multiple ways to set them up. It's convenient to save a report and schedule it to run every week after drilling down on specific data.

Cons

Your account representative can log into your account and help you resolve issues. The most common way to address problems with eMaint is through their website's chat feature. Typing everything out and sending screenshots can be a bit cumbersome. However, the tech support is well-trained and usually resolves issues or provides training during the initial contact.

Emaint Review
Pros

The system's flexibility allows us to set it up according to our preferences right from the start.

Cons

I've never had the chance to meet anyone from Emaint in person. I've spoken to many of them over the phone, but one-on-one interactions have never happened. I believe that my current system would be even better if someone could observe how we use it. Having someone who knows the system better than I do might find faster and more efficient ways of doing things.

Outstanding Process, Customer Friendly, Magnificent Support
Pros

This program offers complete control to the user. I can create my templates, adding or removing fields as needed. Even fields not pre-built in the CMMS can be added. Data can be automatically transferred between templates, simplifying and expediting administrative tasks for technicians. I can generate reports on any topic at any time, keeping management informed without requiring them to log into eMAINT. Making mass changes is simple, such as reassigning 100 work orders to a different technician in less than two minutes. Using Work Order Management, I can set parameters for automated actions, reducing the need for constant monitoring. With field-specific parameters, I can minimize human error. The one-on-one support team is exceptional, always providing immediate and professional assistance. In my 16 years of using eMAINT, there have been fewer than 12 instances where an issue remained unresolved before hanging up the phone. The support team consistently goes above and beyond.

Cons

The process of stacking preventive maintenance schedules is time-consuming. Additionally, the mobile app isn't included in the basic program cost.

Working with eMaint as a Preventative Maintenance Supervisor
Pros

It's fantastic to have a single maintenance management software that covers Reactive/Emergency Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance, Machine Shop Requests, and Inventory Management all in one.

Cons

The mobile app for my technicians is a drawback. The search options are limited, and scrolling through work orders can be tiresome. If there were multiple columns available, it would reduce the amount of scrolling required. This is a common annoyance among my 14 techs. Many of them end up printing their work orders to avoid unnecessary scrolling through irrelevant rows. We had hoped to reduce paper usage with this new system. Having at least three columns would allow my techs to view the entire work order in one glance with minimal scrolling.
