Flexibility in setup and use. Mobile-friendly.

It lacked invoicing when we first started using it, but they developed and added it shortly after.

The calendar. Our facility manager (who is no longer with us) liked the calendar and other features that helped her. I mainly use the calendar but am learning to use other areas in eSpace.

Cons

I haven't used it extensively enough to identify any dislikes about this software yet.

Pros

The room reservation system has been incredibly beneficial for us. It simplified submitting requests, keeping track of reserved rooms, and providing a public calendar for visitors to see what's happening.

Cons

Our church is multilingual. While their website supports UTF-8 encoding, the emails are sent in ASCII, so Chinese characters display correctly on the website but not in emails from eSpace.

This software is very simple to use, detail-oriented, and thorough.

The user interface feels somewhat outdated.

Pros

I love the ability to update my space reservation with additional dates, schedules, and setup details as the event approaches. It also allows us to customize available services over time. I can keep a weekly event running into the next year by adding dates to the calendar. We also set it up so I can approve events and services in my building, allowing me to manage or veto them efficiently.

Cons

If you're adding a schedule to an ongoing event and decide to cancel it due to availability issues, you might accidentally cancel the entire major event with no way to undo it.

Pros

My favorite feature is the HVAC controls integration. I've reduced the standard HVAC schedule for each building I manage and let eSpace activate HVAC units for occupied spaces only.

Cons

We would have benefited from more support in setting up the HVAC integration. We received a manual, but having an in-person eSpace technician working with our HVAC controls technician would have been better.

We value the ability to merge multiple systems into one cohesive tool.

There's not much to dislike. We're still learning how to utilize the system in new ways.

It's fantastic that you can search for events by department and location. Also, seeing any conflicts is very helpful.

As a designer promoting other department events without admin rights, I can't always see all the necessary information. For example, if an event is off-site, the address might be entered by another user, but I can only see "off-site."

When we launched this software, it was highly intuitive and significantly reduced the time it takes to reserve space and plan an event.

When you change the date of an event, you have to update it on the page before resubmitting, or the change doesn't save.

It's not compatible with written Mandarin and needs more customization capabilities for both internal and external users.

The organization is excellent! It simplifies a complex system with many moving parts, making it easy to see available spaces, room setup options, tech service requests, etc.

Cons

The only downside is that selecting dates can sometimes be tricky. For example, I had a recurring event that met weekly throughout the year, and I needed to remove a few dates around the holidays. I struggled to find the menu to delete individual occurrences.

Pros

The ability to view all schedules and filter them easily is very useful for my tasks. I like how it shows conflicts and provides descriptions of where they occur.

Cons

I would like to see entire conflicts without having to select the entire event. A summary of the conflict would be helpful when it initially appears. The need to resubmit after even the smallest changes seems unnecessary.
