Technology and Maintance Work Order review of FMX

Pros

Setting up the building and rooms for the work order system was a hassle free task. Teachers can easily check the status of their work orders without the need for phone calls or emails. Minimal instructions were required for my staff to submit work orders.

Cons

It can send numerous email reminders until you configure the notification settings correctly, but it's better than receiving no notifications at all.

Pros

The appearance and ease of use are excellent. It's convenient to use on desktop, and the interface is streamlined.

Cons

I suggest having a dedicated mobile app instead of relying on a web view. The app could feature larger text and a simpler interface.

We love FMX!

Pros

During our search for a new program, the features and modules obviously caught our attention, but the customer service has been unparalleled compared to any other platform we've encountered. Whether through email, phone calls, or Zoom, the response time, helpfulness, and overall customer service have never disappointed me, even with my extensive questioning. I also like the fact that their features are constantly evolving.

Cons

Initially, our only issue with FMX was the lack of a dedicated app. However, the mobile view works just as effectively as any app would, enabling teams to submit and complete tasks efficiently.

Great System A+++

Pros

GoFMX is a user-friendly system that can be easily taught to someone within minutes. The calendar provides a clear view of daily, weekly, or monthly tasks, ensuring scheduling without conflicts.

Cons

The only part I haven't liked about the system is that when closing out a work order and adding inventory, all site locations are displayed with only FMX part numbers. If you're searching using part numbers per OEM, you won't be able to find the part.

User Friendly, Easy Setup, Amazing FMX Team!

Pros

FMX has made us more efficient, productive, and organized in managing workload, scheduling, and understanding our buildings and assets. It offers everything we need to manage buildings, assets, and work in one place. FMX consistently improves its software and functionality, and their team is incredibly supportive throughout the startup, training, and modification processes, always providing timely and detailed responses.

Cons

Scheduling is more complicated than necessary for our company structure. It would be great to have a few additional view options on the calendars to streamline this part of our process.

Great fit for church or schools

Pros

It provides a great balance of tools for use in churches or schools, not overwhelming with asset management details. The calendar is the most utilized tool for preventing double booking, scheduling custodial work, planning maintenance, coordinating security, managing HVAC, and alerting the team. We were able to extensively customize it to create a local module for tracking marketing requests.

Cons

The modules may not align perfectly with our current business workflow. Some processes, such as time clock or key management, don't have a dedicated module that suits our needs.

Strong product, great people, needs improvement

Pros

The dedication of the product specialists and customer support staff is commendable. The integration with building automation software is fantastic and saves us time and money.

Cons

The software's responsiveness is acceptable but could be faster. While the scheduling feature is excellent, the work order (tech/maintenance requests) features require further development. I recommend researching help desk programs like Cayzu or Zendesk. Enhancing these modules would make your suite unstoppable!

Requesters find it very easy to submit maintenance tickets, leading to improved organization with all requests centralized. The "Respond" feature is excellent as it allows direct communication between users and requesters within a ticket.

Cons

There are numerous customizable options, which can make it challenging to determine the appropriate selections initially. Additionally, the "on behalf of" feature is useful but has confused many people, as they mistakenly believe they need to select their own name in that field.

Best CMMS product in the business

Pros

This software is incredibly intuitive, simple, and quick to set up, even in complex situations. Its comprehensive scope allows us to manage our busy schedule across hundreds of spaces, handle tech and maintenance requests, perform PMs, and manage equipment and assets, among other tasks.

Cons

The transition to this new software was incredibly smooth. The only additions I would like to see are already in development, although they aren't game-changers.
