Organized shop workflow

Pros

I use it to keep every tech in the shop organized while also making sure invoicing and office tasks are always current.

Cons

In my experience because it's built as a paperless system, I find that signatures for invoices don't appear on the printed copies.

simple training resources

Pros

Everything about the app is simple and easy to use. I really appreciate the helpful videos in the Help & Training section, those instructional clips guided me through the tool and made it easy for me to set up and process Service Orders smoothly.

Cons

I'd really appreciate a built-in live chat feature so I can get real-time help whenever I run into problems that I can't figure out by myself.

Software that will get your company organized

Pros

Fullbay is effective for managing inventory, handling and recording bills, generating customer invoices, and building a custom database for your company. I started using Fullbay after the company had been using it as a primary system for about two years and was immediately impressed by the extensive database of customer info, units, and vendor info. Since everything entered into the system is remembered and organized, it's easy to search for a customer, trailer, truck, bill, or vendor and find the information you need.

Cons

The interface can be a bit overwhelming at first, with lots of different menus, but they all serve a necessary function. Also, you're dependent on an internet connection. While this works well when you have reliable internet and the cloud functionality is useful for real-time tracking, if your connection is slow or unreliable, you may need to refresh the browser app multiple times to get it to load. A standalone phone app that could run offline and sync when reconnected would likely solve this issue.

Got my life back

Pros

Since most of my business involves mobile/onsite repairs, I appreciate how versatile the software is in that it runs on multiple platforms.

Cons

The maintenance tracking needs some improvement. It should be a little easier to see when particular services are due.

Pros

This software is so comprehensive that it meets all the needs of our large diesel and automotive shop. It can manage multiple shops, allowing us to move fluidly between them. It handles our special-order parts and inventory. Plus, they continuously improve it. We purchased this software in its early stages and have seen our suggestions implemented.

Cons

I was initially unhappy with the point of sale setup, but I've seen significant improvements and am looking forward to the recent changes.

Fullbay Review

Pros

I like that you can maintain a paper trail without paper. With issues of lost inventory, this helps pinpoint who is doing what right or wrong.

Cons

If I only have a partial part number, it's no help. I would like cross-references to pull up automatically.

Pros

I find it to be quite intuitive, and I can typically rectify any errors I make without needing help.

Cons

There's no option to save notes, which would be helpful. Also, removing items like products without adding them to stock would be beneficial.

Comprehensive records database

Pros

When I started using this tool, after the company had already relied on it as the main system for about two years, I was immediately struck by how extensive the database is for customer records, units and vendors. In my experience it handles inventory keeping, bill handling and recording and creating invoices for customers very effectively and it's flexible enough to build a custom database tailored to our company's needs. Because everything you put into the system is remembered and organized, I find it quick and simple to search for a customer, trailer, truck, bill, or vendor and pull up the information I need which has saved me time when resolving issues or answering client questions.

Cons

One downside I noticed is that the interface can feel a bit dry at first, with lots of different menus to navigate although each menu does serve a necessary function. I'm also dependent on having an internet connection. When I have constant access the cloud features are very useful for tracking everything in real time but if my connection is slow or unreliable I end up refreshing the browser app multiple times just to get it to load. That's especially frustrating when I'm out in the yard or on the road and I think a standalone phone app that runs offline and syncs when reconnected would likely fix this issue.
