Pros

This tool offers excellent capabilities for tracking and managing our assets. As our company expanded and we brought in new temporary consultants, we needed a system to monitor many rented laptops. After adopting this solution, we could efficiently track, manage, and perform preventive maintenance on our assets. It also includes detailed reports that facilitate easy analysis.

Cons

One problem with this tool is the lack of offline features, so if our internet is down, we can't use it. Additionally, the mobile app sometimes takes a while to sync.

Pros

The ability to add file attachments to assets, with the files stored on MVP's servers, is invaluable. The endless customization and wide range of features are impressive.

Cons

The high training costs are a downside, along with the unintuitive and unattractive interface. The search engine is poor, hardware options are bad, and the mobile offline app is inadequate.

Pros

The technical support is outstanding, and the addition of live chat is a real advantage for quick questions.

Cons

It would be helpful if the error messages that appear when trying to complete a work order, edit or delete a PM, or inventory item were more descriptive. For example, if something is wrong with the data entered, it just says there's missing information without specifying what. When deleting an inventory item, it should specify which PMs or assets it is attached to instead of just saying it can't be deleted.

Pros

The functionality lets you handle multiple business areas with one system. The traceability allows you to see where all your downtime originates and how much work each machine requires. Self-generating reports provide easy access to all work done in a set timeframe. The customer support from this company is the best I have ever experienced.

Cons

If the system allowed admins to restrict or remove some applications on the MVP Capture app, it would improve usability. I'd also like a log for all wireless devices that tracks who used the device, when, and when they logged out.

I can't compare it to another program, but it seems to be working well for us. The vendor has been very helpful in guiding us through the learning curve, although we still have a lot to learn.

Cons

The training is costly, and navigating the program as a beginner is still challenging.

The work order module is one of the best I have used. MVP's technical support is outstanding.

The inventory, purchasing, and purchase request approval modules are not robust enough for a large environment. The reporting environment needs improvement and better customization options. MVP is slow to provide updates or new features.

Pros

The ease of using the numerous available reports is impressive. Each area is detailed without being overwhelming. I also appreciate the ability to control access down to the smallest detail.

Cons

Some fields would be helpful but are so specific that not everyone could use them. If the internet is down, the program is inaccessible since no data is stored locally.

Pros

It's very easy to look up equipment history and find completed work. The support is excellent when you have questions or need assistance with the software. The speed is also good, so there's no long waiting time for the system.

Cons

Hard copy printing of generated PMs needs editing to spool correctly for double-sided printing in batch mode. You have to add a blank page with third-party software to the ones that are three pages long; otherwise, a new PM starts on the back of the last one. I asked about changing this but haven't received a solution.
