bluChat Features
The on-record and off-record chat feature provides real-time discussions directly on every editable NetSuite record to ensure that the conversation history is permanently connected to the related data. The system allows staff to talk specifically about entities like customer files through on-record chat. Separately, off-record chat supports general team discussions using channels, groups, and direct messages (DMs).
bluChat starts the process of creating a task, assigning it to an authorized staff member, and setting a completion date without leaving the NetSuite record. This function helps quickly solve issues by placing the task workflow right inside the communication stream. Tasks started from the chat are fully available for tracking and auditing the relevant business records.
Drag and drop multiple files and types into the chatbox is done using a simple drag and drop function built into the main chat window. The system easily accepts the direct upload of many different file types into the conversation stream. This capability works with all 50 file formats already supported by the main NetSuite system.
The platform sends a notification to the staff member or authorized person when they are tagged within a chat message. This action sends a customizable email alert to the tagged individual’s NetSuite email address. This ensures the staff member is immediately aware of the message, which prompts fast attention to the related issue.
This feature gives staff the ability to follow or monitor specific conversations inside the interface. By using this function, a person can choose to watch a channel or subscribe to the activity history for a particular NetSuite record. This process guarantees team members stay current on the most important discussions and related record changes.
