fun features

Pros

This software offers so many different, fun and unique things to try that it keeps the experience interesting. I honestly didn't expect it to include a feature for reading PDFs but it does which was a nice surprise.

Cons

The only downside is having to pay for it. I feel like it would probably be used by even more people if it were free. At the same time, I can understand why it isn't since the paid model is likely what supports all those excellent features, the photo library and everything else. Once programs go free, updates and new improvements often become less likely.

user-friendly from day one

Pros

Getting started with it felt very natural and I didn't need to take any course or training to figure things out.

Cons

A few features are restricted to the paid version which can be a little limiting though I understand that it needs revenue to keep going.

helpful digital marketing tools

Pros

Using it has been really simple, it comes with plenty of free features and it works especially well for small business owners who need solid digital marketing support.

Cons

I do think it would be even better if more free features were included.

beginner-friendly

Pros

Really simple to use, even if you're just getting started with design.

Cons

Getting to the filing system from the homepage isn't very adaptive. A few features also feel like they still need some polish, such as being able to track QR codes generated here.

excellent!!

Pros

It's an excellent app that's simple to work with and gives users plenty of ways to get creative with their designs. It works well for beginners while still delivering results that feel professional.

Cons

There are still some limits when it comes to design choices and animation tools. The animation features in video editing especially could use further improvement.

It's great

Pros

Been really helpful for promoting my books as an author. It also makes putting together author promotions much simpler and more manageable.

Cons

At times, getting it connected properly to an email account,or setting up multiple connections, can be difficult. With my account, that part has felt almost impossible sometimes.

So good!

Pros

Canva's biggest advantage for me is how adaptive the interface feels and how simple it is to use, along with the wide selection of pre-made templates for all kinds of designs. That really speeds up the creative process and makes it possible to put together polished, professional-looking visuals quickly, even without having much graphic design experience. Another strong point is the range of elements, images and fonts available which gives plenty of freedom to personalize each project.

Cons

What I liked least about it is that some more advanced tools are restricted to the paid version, such as access to a larger selection of graphic elements and the background removal feature for images.

my favorite!

Pros

It has been part of my workflow for years and I keep coming back to it because it lets me create just about anything I need, videos, images, ads, gifts, business cards, flyers, postcards, t-shirts and more. The platform is very user-friendly and I really appreciate how often they roll out new updates and continue expanding what it can do. It also feels more personal than a lot of other software because they host launch events, run contests and highlight their most active creators. Honestly it has definitely earned a spot on my short list of favorite software.

Cons

A downside that comes with it growing so much is that there are now so many apps and features added over the past couple of years that it can be tough to keep up. At times, it feels a little overwhelming trying to learn all the new design options and figure out where to begin. Also, the app can occasionally feel a bit dated.

it's so great

Pros

Being able to use it across multiple platforms to build digital products is a big plus. It's also nice that there's both a free version and a paid option so you can test it out properly before deciding to commit.

Cons

Support team wasn't as helpful as I expected especially for a platform this well known.

design tools i love

Pros

It has been incredibly versatile for my needs. I use it for both my nanny agency and my doula services and it helps me put together everything from polished social media posts to helpful brochures without needing any formal design background. The drag-and-drop setup and huge selection of templates make the whole design process fast and simple.

Cons

One drawback I've run into is that some premium elements come with extra charges and those costs can build up over time if you use premium assets often. It can also be inconvenient that it requires an internet connection especially when I'm out and don't have access to Wi-Fi.

Quick edits

Pros

Feels fantastic to use. There are so many elements available and that really makes the whole program feel simple to work with. It offers a huge selection of design templates which helps keep my projects unique and creative. The search feature makes it quick to locate my projects and I can resize a design or make a copy almost instantly. Canva is amazing!

Cons

I can barely think of any downside to it because it does exactly what I need it to do. The only possible criticism I can come up with is that some people feel the design options are limited but I personally disagree since there is such a wide variety of templates, designs and elements available. If anything, having a broader music library could be a nice addition.

inspiring

Pros

Even without any graphic design background, it gives people the chance to put together really beautiful designs.

Cons

Added AI features are a nice addition but they still need improvement. Magic Studio, in particular, isn't as user-friendly as I'd want it to be.

pretty signs for every occasion

Pros

Been really useful for creating attractive signs and I use it a lot for holiday closure notices and staff meeting signs. It can even be used to make layouts for Facebook which is a nice bonus.

Cons

At this point, I haven't come across anything I dislike or any feature that feels lacking, at least from what I've used so far.

This is the best platform I've used for creating graphics and content for social media.

The pricing has gone up recently although it still feels fair for how powerful the platform is.
