freedom to customization

Pros

I enjoyed that it has a variety of designs. It gives you the option to work with ready-made templates or customize everything from scratch by starting with a blank canvas. Also, it can be used for free, even if that version doesn't include access to every resource.

Cons

Con is that, even though it's very simple to use, not all of its features feel fully optimized. For example, if you want to add an image, you have to upload it into the software first before placing it in the design which makes the process less efficient because it takes more time.

fun software

Pros

Canva has been an incredibly powerful place to create. I've used it for pitching ideas, building resumes, designing infographics, enhancing photos and now even working on a book because traditional word processors just don't offer the same flexibility for page layout and design that Canva does. It really is a fun platform to be creative in.

Cons

A few elements can be oddly stubborn when it comes to resizing. For instance, if I add a rectangle to a page, I can't actually change the dimensions from 2x4 and can only make it larger or smaller. I'd also really like the option to display pages side by side so I could view a document the way it would look when printed as a book.

saves me hours every time

Pros

Creating handouts social media graphics and presentations has become much more manageable with this tool. I honestly wouldn't be able to do my work the same way without it. The simplicity of using it saves me hours.

Cons

At times, it can be hard to decide where to begin because there are just so many options available.

tools i enjoy

Pros

Using it feels very simple and there are plenty of useful features for creating designs, like arranging elements in front or behind and adjusting image transparency. A lot of progress has been made over the last few years as well especially with design improvements and better photo and video editing. It's also really convenient to access other tools through Canva, such as Pexels and Pixabay. honestly there are so many good things to say about it.

Cons

One thing that would make it even better would be the ability to resize videos more easily from one format to another, like changing a YouTube video into a TikTok format.

its good

Pros

Getting started with it is surprisingly simple, even for someone with no background at all. With the built-in guidance and huge collection of ready-made templates, it's possible to put together polished, high-quality visuals without any specialized skills or training. It works especially well when you need to produce a lot of graphic content, whether that's blog graphics, posters or social media posts. Using it is genuinely enjoyable and beginners will probably be surprised by how much they can create right away. Projects are also quick to build and adjust for all kinds of purposes, from personal designs to professional work. Also, the platform offers a wide range of features, including photo editing social media branding and templates for things like progress reports and annual reports which have been very practical and saved a lot of time.

Cons

An area that feels limited is the video editing side since the available options are still pretty restricted. Right now, there just aren't many choices and the tools are too basic for my needs so I'm hoping future updates improve that. Another downside is that a lot of people simply reuse the templates as they are which makes Canva-made designs easy to recognize online. It would also help if it did a better job promoting its Design School in the Learn section because many users seem unaware that it's there. The free version, while generous in several ways and helpful for uploading files into designs, is also missing a filter that clearly separates free elements from premium ones. At the moment, the built-in search mainly lets you sort templates by color and language and if you're not working from a template, you have to rely heavily on keywords to track things down. Adding better search and filtering would make the experience much better. Also, with the free plan, downloads are limited to lower-resolution files.

perfect for us

Pros

Between printed materials and online posts, I usually have a lot of content to create. Canva has really given me a way to tap into my creative side and the response from others has been overwhelmingly positive. I use it for everything from a basic business card to broader social media branding content and it has been fantastic. I absolutely love it.

Cons

Honestly I do not have a single complaint. Everything about my experience with it has been positive and I fully plan to keep using it.

design options i love

Pros

The platform feels very user-friendly and gives you tons of options for fonts, templates and design elements. It's also really helpful that you can upload your own photos and videos which makes projects more personalized. Another big plus is being able to export and download your work in different formats depending on what you need, like PDF or presentation files.

Cons

A downside is that a lot of the design elements that used to be free are now locked behind the Premium plan.

templates that do the work

Pros

It has been part of both my personal and professional routine for years. I don't have a background in graphic design and whenever I need a banner or ad while the designer is tied up, I can put together a very solid result in just a few minutes that works more than well enough for what I need. Also, the templates for presentations, cards and other materials are fantastic for personal use at birthdays and celebrations. They end up looking like they were made by someone with real expertise, when in reality you barely have to do anything to make them look good. The tool basically gives you everything.

Cons

Since my focus is more on marketing than design, I really can't point to any downside with this software. Everything it offers is more than enough for me.

drag-and-drop is easy

Pros

Creating polished visuals with this tool feels effortless because everything works through drag and drop. It also comes with plenty of eye-catching resources that make the content look more engaging. We regularly use it to design recruitment posts and build strong campaign creatives that help boost awareness and generate leads through paid ads.

Cons

I haven't come across any real downside with it since it offers more value than what we're paying for.

fantastic software

Pros

This has become one of my favorite tools and I use it a lot for both work and personal projects. It's really user-friendly, to the point that even my husband who usually avoids technology, can use it without trouble. There's a huge selection of fonts, photos and graphics and picking out an exact color is very simple. The brand kit is especially useful for keeping everything consistent and on-brand without needing much extra effort.

Cons

My only real frustration is that the images don't have clear names. For instance, I might search for something like 'woman at desk,' find the perfect image, use it and then want that same one again for a different project later on. When I search the same term again though, it's basically hit or miss whether that exact image shows up another time.

excellent tool

Pros

Getting started with it was quick and simple and whenever something isn't clear, there are plenty of YouTube tutorials that help right away. It also comes with lots of templates that make it easier to create designs the way you want, along with editing features that let you adjust images until you get the exact result you're aiming for. Also, the platform feels very user-friendly and I genuinely enjoy using it for my work.

Cons

I really haven't had any negative experience with the platform, except that the free version is quite limited in what it offers. To access the complete set of features, you have to pay for the full package and that can be pretty expensive.

I recommend!!

Pros

Being free is a huge plus and the platform feels very adaptive to use. It makes creating audiovisual content for social media platforms quite simple.

Cons

A downside is that in the free version, a lot of images and templates aren't available to use and the final output quality is also reduced.

effortless to use

Pros

The simple interface makes this an obvious choice for any business that doesn't have an in-house graphic design team. With such a huge range of templates, graphics and images available, just about anyone with access to the platform can create content. It's very quick to jump in and start putting together designs within minutes.

Cons

The only downside is needing to pay for the Pro version to unlock Canva's full potential.

templates are great

Pros

Canva has been a really enjoyable tool to use especially because of the wide range of design templates available. They're very user-friendly and it works perfectly well on my device without any compatibility issues. I also appreciate that it lets me edit videos and create animations too which makes it even more useful overall.

Cons

One thing I'm not too happy about is that I can't upload or import my own fonts. If that feature gets added, I think the experience would be even better.

satisfied with it

Pros

Working with it feels very adaptive and the tools are friendly enough for almost any user who knows their way around a computer. It's genuinely satisfying to see how each project turns out especially because the templates come with beautiful designs that guide you toward a polished final result. Also, being able to adjust colors, images, fonts and more makes it much easier to tailor each design to the creator's personal style. As a company, we're very happy with the value it has brought us, helping strengthen our brand and giving us a visually appealing way to promote it through its designs.

Cons

There are only two things I would improve in this software. First, I'd like to see more image options available in the free version. Second and closely tied to that point, it would be nice if some locked images could gradually be unlocked after completing a certain number of projects.

awesome!

Pros

This web-based graphic design platform feels like a real powerhouse. It lets me add a lot more visual flair to my documents and images without any hassle. Another big plus is how simple it is to switch between the mobile app and the website which makes working from either place very convenient. I also really appreciate being able to connect my images to a social media content calendar for planning posts.

Cons

My only small complaint is with Instagram scheduling. I'd love the option to schedule carousel posts with multiple images but right now a scheduled post only supports a single image.

you will like it

Pros

Jumping into this tool years ago without any background in branding or graphic design, I was surprised by how accessible it felt right away. The creative tools are fantastic and being able to experiment with different ideas until everything looked the way I wanted was incredibly helpful. That freedom to play around with designs made a huge difference in how I learned and grew while building my brand.

Cons

Budget-wise, I tend to stick with free software and make the most of whatever is available so my only real complaint is wanting access to a few more items in the team and branding tiers. That said, it feels more like my own reluctance to pay than an actual issue with it especially since the free version already offers a lot. I honestly just enjoy using it that much.

loved it!!

Pros

One of the biggest advantages is that it's free for nonprofits which is a massive benefit. Also, the platform offers an impressive range of features and functions, from photo editing and social media branding to using templates for project reports and annual reports. It has been incredibly helpful and has saved a lot of time. Another plus is how user-friendly it is since it doesn't require any special skills or advanced computer knowledge to get started.

Cons

Overall, the platform has been excellent. The only thing I would change is the way multiple downloads are handled because they are automatically compressed into a zip file and saved as one file. I haven't found any setting that lets me switch this off so whenever I need an image downloaded on its own to keep the quality intact and make sure it uploads properly, I have to click and download each file manually.
