decent experience

Pros

Even though it's free, there's still a really nice selection of templates to choose from. The design elements are excellent and I especially enjoy making GIFs with it. Whenever I search for something, Canva usually has it available. I also appreciate being able to adjust the size and quality before downloading.

Cons

The template or element I want ends up being part of the Pro version so I'm not able to use it.

its great

Pros

It really shines for me because there are so many creative possibilities and the ready-made templates make designing for different platforms much simpler.

Cons

My biggest frustration with it is how limited the element choices are on the free plan. It's also disappointing that there isn't a filter to clearly separate free elements from premium ones.

loved using it

Pros

Using Canva feels incredibly simple and the platform keeps improving all the time. Almost every time I sign in, there's some new feature or update to try out.

Cons

One downside is the lack of clear guidance for designing specifically for websites. A lot of the answers I needed ended up coming from YouTube or Google instead.

fun templates

Pros

A few tutorial tips are enough to get started and even beginners can tweak Canva's huge template library to create graphics that look really professional. I use it all the time to batch-create social media posts and printable posters. It's genuinely fun to work in and if you're new to it, you'll probably surprise yourself with how good your designs turn out.

Cons

There's honestly not much to complain about. The only issue I occasionally run into happens when I'm moving fast and downloading a lot of files at once, then later realize I grabbed an image before my most recent edit had fully saved. That said, it feels more like a result of my impatience or a weak internet connection than a problem with the software.

canva boosts visual presentations

Pros

Whenever I need to put together visual presentations, business cards or anything online that involves design, Canva takes a lot of the stress out of the process. It offers thousands of design options that match whatever kind of presentation or project you're working on. The platform is simple to use and works really well for students, teachers, employees and even management teams who need to deliver eye-catching presentations.

Cons

Some features are locked unless you upgrade your account but it doesn't really affect how well the app performs. There are still plenty of free designs available so you still have a lot of choices for your presentations.

I like it

Pros

Putting together a presentation or social media post feels very flexible thanks to the user-friendly drag-and-drop setup. Being able to add elements from Canva or use uploaded materials makes it a convenient way to quickly prepare promotional content.

Cons

An issue I've run into is with the "Oswald" font. At times, when I create a post using it and download the file as a standard PDF, the text ends up looking jagged and the letter spacing appears uneven.

love everything about canva

Pros

Honestly my team can't even pick one favorite thing about this software because we love every part of it. From how user-friendly it is to the pricing and the design capabilities, I've never used graphic design software as impressive as Canva.

Cons

Something I would like to see is more design variety in the pre-made elements but that's definitely a very minor downside compared to all the major positives.

all-in-one creative library

Pros

Having everything in one place,my library, resources and all the files I use in one personal workspace, makes it incredibly useful and convenient.

Cons

One small downside is that when I add more items to the library, it can start to feel a little slow although that seems more related to the computer or software performance than it.

good image editing and visuals

Pros

Right away, the image editing felt very user-friendly and I can adjust images without running into any problems. The data visualization is excellent as well and I really enjoy using the effects and animations.

Cons

Honestly this software has been amazing and I'm really happy to have it because it's a pleasure to use every day.

Clean exports

Pros

We appreciate how well it connects with different social platforms. I can create a design and upload it directly to my social channels or even schedule the post for a later time right from the platform. That has made managing my content much more convenient since I can plan my uploads immediately after finishing a design. Another feature I value is the background remover which works both on the final download and on individual elements while designing. It gives the finished work a much cleaner, more polished look especially for printed materials.

Cons

A downside though, is that some of the design elements available in it are not cleared for print-on-demand use. Because of that, designs can end up being removed from print-on-demand marketplaces which is really frustrating and discouraging.

affordable templates!!

Pros

There are lots of templates that help spark design ideas and it has kept all of my designs saved over the past two years. It also works really well with other software which makes things more convenient. If you're not familiar with more technical design tools, this one is very approachable to use. Also, it's quite affordable and includes access to HD images that I would otherwise have to pay for separately.

Cons

It does have some limitations when it comes to graphic design. Other than that, it's an awesome tool.

beginner-friendly

Pros

It is easily one of the most approachable graphic design platforms to pick up especially for beginners who want to start creating digital content like social posts, flyers and presentations. The tools are organized in a way that makes the software feel accessible right away but it still offers enough adaptive functionality for users with some design experience to go beyond the standard templates and make their work feel more polished and distinct. Another thing I really appreciate is the wide range of resources and built-in support available through the Features, Explore and Community sections of the site. Setting up a team is also very convenient and sharing designs with people who do not even have Canva accounts is a big plus. With the paid version, being able to build a complete asset folder for multiple brands or projects makes organization much better too.

Cons

One issue I do notice is that a lot of people use the templates without changing much which makes Canva-made content on social media fairly recognizable. A good way to address that would be for it to do a better job promoting its Design School inside the Learn tab since many users do not seem to know it exists. On the functionality side, while the free plan includes plenty of features and lets you upload your own assets, it still lacks a filter to separate free items from premium ones. Right now, within the design search, templates can only be filtered by color and language and outside of templates you are mostly limited to keyword searches. Adding a filter for free versus paid content would be genuinely helpful.

worth every penny for creatives

Pros

Canva Pro is very affordable and definitely worth paying for. I use it every day to create posts and artwork for my music pages and releases. Even the free version offers a lot of tools and features. The site has always been reliable for me without crashing and the layout is very simple to navigate.

Cons

A small annoyance is that my designs sometimes get rearranged inside a folder. Even when I've edited something that same day, it can end up moved to the middle or bottom instead of staying at the top.

smart mockups

Pros

Smart Mockups has made a huge difference in the way I present to clients. My presentations look so much better now. I also really appreciate the wide variety of images included in the monthly subscription. The Teams feature has been excellent for sharing with others without any hassle. Search and filtering help me find design elements fast and the Learn blog is something I rely on often whenever I'm unsure how to do something.

Cons

I still haven't explored everything it can do but that's more because I haven't had the time yet. It would also be fantastic if the print options were offered in South Africa.

packed with creator features

Pros

As a creator, Canva has been one of the most useful tools I've used. Even the free version comes with a huge number of features for artists and content creators. I'd still suggest upgrading, even though $12.95 a month feels a little pricey because the added value is strong enough that it's definitely worth at least giving a try.

Cons

Honestly there isn't much to complain about with it. My only real issue is the cost since the subscription feels too expensive to me and I'd love to see the pricing come down a bit.

so good

Pros

Being an artist and graphic designer working on print-on-demand pieces, I'm impressed by how much Canva already has available for free. The ready-made, royalty-free elements are incredibly useful which really matters in my work. The drag-and-drop setup works beautifully, editing and customizing designs feels smooth and whatever I need to do can be done in no time. It's also a huge plus that there's usually something prepared that saves me from spending extra time making graphics from scratch. Overall, Canva fits the way I work and I also appreciate that even someone without an art background but with a decent eye, can still create what they need using the free online plan.

Cons

Con is for people who use the platform without paying for a membership. A large portion of what they may want, probably around 80%,is locked behind a costly subscription. Also, when it's time to download, any design that includes transparent areas requires a paid membership as well, otherwise, it automatically exports with a white background instead.

Has plenty of templates

Pros

Getting started with it is really simple and there are lots of templates available. They work well when you need a quick solution. Most of the elements use drag-and-drop which is convenient although it can get a bit limiting when you want to be more creative with layering.

Cons

A recurring issue is that everything I make ends up looking a lot like the content already seen across countless Instagram accounts. The output feels somewhat generic. The quality is good but it definitely seems to hold back creativity.

Impressive templates for everything

Pros

It's pretty simple to get started.. you need just an email sign-up and it works well whether you need it for business or even just personal use. There are templates for pretty much every occasion and format, seasonal campaigns, birthdays, weddings, sales, emailers, videos, Facebook, Instagram, basically whatever you need, they already have it.

Cons

One downside is that in some categories, a lot of the elements are paid so not everything is available for free.

Amazing design tool

Pros

The image editing tools are what I use the most. Canva works really well for both beginners and experienced content creators and bringing it into my business was pretty simple.

Cons

Video editing is the part that still needs work. Aside from that, even after just a week of using it, it never felt difficult,it was simple to pick up and understand.
