endless design possibilities

Pros

Honestly it has been amazing from every angle. The paid version gives you a ton to work with and the plan feels packed with value. It has pretty much everything I need to create graphic designs for my business. Before using it... making designs was really difficult but now it feels like I know exactly what I'm doing. Between all the templates, fonts, colors and design elements, there's just so much available. Canva really makes the creative options feel unlimited.

Cons

There's really nothing to complain about. It is easily the best graphic design software I've ever used.

constantly improving

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how the software keeps getting better. I used to have to leave the program whenever I needed to remove backgrounds or look for images and now those tools are built right in. It also feels like there are way more graphics and pictures available than before. Also, the interface has become more adaptive especially with measurements that pop up automatically which is such a nice touch. I'm also a big fan of the constant autosaving.

Cons

Not much to complain about but I do wish the program didn't use a white background. It can be hard to tell where my project ends and where the app begins. Most of the time, I have to add a colored background while I'm working on something that will eventually stay white. I also don't really use the phone app because my screen is too small and I can never position things quite the way I want.

so convenient

Pros

Having a phone app is one of my favorite parts. I can make changes or create designs right from my phone wherever I am and everything updates live on the desktop as well. It's incredibly convenient.

Cons

I genuinely love using it. The only thing that has frustrated me is when an object sits underneath another one and I can't just click and drag it easily. Still, if that's the biggest issue I have, they're absolutely doing a five-star job.

great

Pros

It comes with a huge range of features, templates and design options. All of that makes it simple to create your own content and the templates are flexible enough to edit and customize until they match the exact look you want.

Cons

Still has room to improve its interface especially when it comes to video editing and presentation tools. It already works well for designing photos and logos but it could do much more as a video editor too. I sometimes create images there yet the video editing side is missing some important features. I'd really like the option to turn photo designs into videos directly inside the tool. If they want to be truly "all in one place," that part needs more attention.

design tools win

Pros

Getting started with it is very simple, even for someone completely new. There are plenty of design tools available, along with lots of free templates to choose from, including images, background removal and attractive text styles. It also lets you change the color of images sourced from Canva to whatever color you want and importing or exporting images is simple too.

Cons

One thing I did notice is that after removing an image background in it with the pro version, the background still seems to remain instead of becoming fully transparent. It doesn't produce a transparent PNG the way remove.bg does.

overall good

Pros

Starting out, I only wanted to put together a PDF and skipped sections like graphic design or social media management. Even so, the software gave me ready-made materials that let me create whatever I imagined without needing any special skills. The designer-made visuals were easily the part I enjoyed most and always looked forward to using. Being able to add color and visuals to my work makes the whole process really fun. Canva also offers much more than that, with features for preparing CVs, videos and presentations. Everything is built around tools and buttons that I can arrange and combine the way I want. Another big plus is that it supports collaboration and lets me come back later to edit the work again.

Cons

I used the app through a teacher account so I could access it for free which meant I was able to use everything. Still, I think it should be free for more people, not only for that professional group. The pricing feels expensive to me and I'm sure the economic conditions in my country play a role in that feeling as well. Also, the non-Pro version has become very restricted. It didn't feel this limited before but now using it without Pro is almost impossible because you have to dig so much just to find a free sticker. To me, the biggest thing that needs improvement is the price.

my review

Pros

Getting started with it is simple, even for beginners. The interface feels adaptive and fast and it's really helpful that multiple people can collaborate on the same design at the same time. There are plenty of templates available, along with free photos, graphic elements and other useful resources. I also appreciate being able to upload brand assets like logos, fonts and colors. Also, the platform keeps improving with regular updates and new features.

Cons

One limitation is the restricted amount of media you can upload into a single design or folder. It's also not ideal for working with longer blocks of text especially since you can't apply multiple fonts within the same paragraph. Video editing is another area that could be better and having more timing layers would make a big difference.

i had a decent experience

Pros

There's a really good selection of graphics, templates and design options available which I've enjoyed using. Being able to upload our own photos and graphics is also a big advantage.

Cons

Sharing finished graphics with other people feels more complicated than it should be. When we enabled collaboration for others, the graphics that were already created didn't seem shareable or at least I haven't been able to figure out a way to make that work.

love the creative flexibility

Pros

From learning the platform to finding what I need, everything feels simple and well organized. I can customize designs, create different materials, build brand assets, make business cards and even put together videos. honestly I love just about everything about this app.

To be completely honest, I really don't have any complaints.

design made easy

Pros

Canva covers a wide range of creative needs. I can design a business logo, put together ads for print or social media and build data visualizations either for myself or to share with coworkers. It also handles image editing well, with options like filters, blur, lighting adjustments, resizing, layers and background removal or replacement. Video editing is available too and I can also build videos from scratch using the animated library. Designs can begin from a blank canvas or from a template that's fully customizable. Exporting is flexible, with several file types and destination options to choose from and imported files stay stored for later use. One of the best parts is the size of the content library along with how well the search and filtering work. It's simple to look through everything or narrow it down to photos, backgrounds, graphics, charts, graphs, frames, templates and more.

Cons

The editing features here are strong but they still don't feel like the top option available in every category. Video editing, in particular, could use some improvement. The free version is also limiting because you have to dig through a lot of paid content just to find the free items and there isn't a filter to separate them.

easy to access

Pros

Getting started felt very simple, even as a first-time user. The editing features are clearly laid out and simple to follow, without any overly complicated tools or apps to figure out so no previous design skills are really needed. There are plenty of templates available if you don't want to create something from scratch and all your designs can be saved to your profile so you can open them from any device. That makes it really convenient to have quick access to your work, even when you're away from your desktop.

Cons

I've used both the free and Pro versions. The one-time Pro fee can be fairly expensive for users in some countries especially where I am in South Africa. The free version also has limits if you want to use many of Canva's templates, elements or music. That said, if you're uploading and using your own content, the free version still works really well.

anyone can use it

Pros

So simple to get started with this tool and this makes it perfect for people who are not design experts but still want to create their own content. It helps you produce creative materials to promote a brand organize work calendars, make diagrams, design Instagram posts and more. Overall, it feels like a very complete and excellent tool.

Cons

A number of features, like removing the background from a photo, that id love are locked behind the paid version. Even so, paying for the application feels worthwhile because the value and benefits you get from it are quite significant.

so good

Pros

The finished designs turn out really well and the platform is very simple to use. The templates give my creativity an instant starting point and all the extra add-ins help me make things feel more unique and original.

Cons

Working on designs from my phone is still difficult. There are certain things I'd rather handle on my laptop, even though I usually want to use my phone since I always have it with me.

perfect!!

Pros

Right away, the drag-and-drop feature felt like the biggest advantage and the site is friendly enough that almost anyone can start using it without much trouble. It comes with plenty of elements and a wide range of tools to work with. For creating posters and animations, this platform has been one of the best options I've used.

Cons

At times, the site can lag while editing if a large file gets uploaded and having some of the best features locked behind the premium plan can be a bit of a turn-off.

consistent branding every time

Pros

Using this product has been really simple and it keeps all of our branding assets and marketing posts looking polished and consistent no matter which team member creates them.

Cons

One thing that took a little adjustment was that projects are not shared with the team automatically unless you choose to do that. It was a bit of a learning curve at first but we understand the process now.

design tools are good

Pros

It makes it simple for businesses and individuals to create content that fits a company's brand or develop something completely original. It's a flexible platform that works well for both professional needs and personal projects.

Cons

Without a paid membership, a lot of the content and graphics stay locked. You can start building a presentation expecting to use certain advertised features, only to realize partway through that they require a subscription. That said, the paid plan is definitely worth it.

fantastic asset library value

Pros

Affordable plans give you access to a huge collection of assets, including images, videos, royalty-free music and more. It's also very convenient to use across devices like a computer, tablet or phone since designs sync through the cloud so your latest work is always available wherever you are. Also, the collaboration features are really useful for sharing with editors, keeping your team updated and supervising projects in real time.

Cons

Syncing can be unreliable when the internet connection is weak and if you're offline some changes might not get saved. There are also a few tools that still feel a bit unfinished.

feature-packed

Pros

This software keeps rolling out new features which makes the platform feel like it's always improving. There's also a massive library of free assets and the option to pay for Pro only when needed is excellent since it works well for different budgets. Also, they offer a range of license options for different types of users and are especially supportive of nonprofits.

Cons

The only part that still seems to be a work in progress is importing PDFs. I don't personally use that feature much but I do need to understand it well enough to teach others. It can be a little glitchy although it's a very minor issue overall.

awesome!!

Pros

Using Canva's resume templates has been a really positive experience because they're simple to work with and turn out beautifully. The platform lets me handle a wide range of tasks in one place. I use Canva to design most of my CVs and cover letters and I also rely on it for creating presentations. One feature I really appreciate is that it keeps saving your work while you're still busy on a project. In other words, your progress is saved automatically as you go.

Cons

A downside is that it's not very practical for ongoing use if someone doesn't have enough data. Designing a resume from scratch can take a while and when your data is limited or you can't afford enough of it, using this software regularly for projects becomes difficult.

my experience was great

Pros

Plenty of online tools help with designing layouts but Canva stands out for being especially simple to work with. Also, the template library is huge so there's a lot to choose from.

Cons

One thing I'd really like to see improved is document management because organizing all my layouts can get messy fast. Since it's very simple to make copies and new versions of designs, older documents can quickly become hard to track down in the clutter.
