quality designs

Pros

After using Canva for quite a while, I can honestly say it has been incredibly helpful especially for beginners in graphic design. The features are excellent and make it simple to create, edit and design graphics. The design elements are really good and I especially love the wide variety of templates since they can all be edited to fit what I need. Canva works wonderfully for students, parents and teachers alike. The presentations come out looking polished, with very good quality and resolution. I used to struggle a lot when making high-quality certificates for my outstanding students but with Canva, I can now create them without any trouble. Its GIF feature is also excellent. We even used GIFs in a Canva presentation during our Recognition Day and the result was really, really impressive. I truly love using Canva!

Cons

Even though it is an excellent tool, it does have a few downsides. One issue is that it mainly works online so it is not ideal if you need something for offline use. There are also some features that are only available with the premium version. As for presentations, the icon selection feels limited compared with PowerPoint. Because of that, I would still choose PowerPoint over Canva when making presentations.

canva keeps getting better

Pros

It keeps improving and feels like a stronger product with almost every monthly update. The team continues rolling out changes that respond to what the community actually needs, like improved animations, a larger template library, added team features and more.

Cons

At times, the "Your Projects" section feels a bit cluttered and they still haven't quite found a clearer, more cohesive way to organize and present that area.

keeps getting better

Pros

Getting started with this software was very simple. It gave me free access to its features since I use it for health awareness campaigns in low- and middle-income countries. Uploading videos, images and even audio is very simple and I also really appreciate being able to share designs directly to social media accounts.

Cons

With all the benefits it offers, the only thing I really struggle with is that the app cannot be used without an internet connection.

polished designs

Pros

Designing with it feels a lot more enjoyable because it helps you present your message in a beautiful, polished way. It's a fun, user-friendly and professional design tool for creating quality content for presentations, school assignments, websites and plenty more. I've been using it for nearly two years now and there are many reasons I keep coming back to it. One of the biggest advantages is how simple it is to work with while still being powerful enough to create stylish results. There's a huge selection of useful templates, both with images included and without. I can choose almost any template, swap out the background image or color palette with my own photo or logo and then adjust the text style and colors to match what I need. Also, it includes some really nice built-in tools for adding special image effects, like lighting effects and it even lets me draw directly on images without much effort. Besides making eye-catching graphics, I also use Canva at times for portfolio-style pages or blog header designs when I don't want to build something entirely from scratch but still want the final result to stand out.

Cons

It does have a few limitations especially since some features are locked behind the Pro account but overall it's still an excellent tool.

your editing companion

Pros

Whenever we need something put together quickly, Canva is the tool we turn to. While we still rely on programs like Photoshop and Illustrator for graphic work that needs more advanced editing, It is our go-to for building mood boards, gathering stock footage to customize, creating briefs or presentations and handling other collaborative team projects.

Cons

Honestly I do not have any real complaints. It would be nice to see more advanced graphic and video editing capabilities added but since it is a cloud-based platform, it is not really fair to compare it directly with Adobe products because they are built for different purposes and workflows.

powerful photo effects and drag-and-drop

Pros

Canva feels very user-friendly and the wide range of photo effects is one of the things I enjoy most. It's helped me adjust and edit photos exactly the way I want without much effort. The drag-and-drop option is a big plus too since it makes it simple to edit all my content, add my own custom watermarks and then export everything to whichever app I want to use.

Cons

There are times when I'd rather work from my phone but the mobile app is much more limited than the desktop version.

quick templates for beginners

Pros

The interface feels very user-friendly and simple especially for beginners who find Photoshop hard to pick up. The ready-made templates helped me get work done much faster with less effort. I have not explored many of the premium tools yet but even during the trial, I was able to automate parts of my social media post design process by reusing existing resources.

Cons

Not a complete graphic design solution so after a certain point, its usefulness becomes limited. To access more advanced capabilities, you have to pay for the premium features. The desktop and mobile apps also need improvement since uploads are slow and multiple file uploads often do not show a progress bar.

constantly improving design tool

Pros

It keeps getting better all the time. It used to feel a little amateurish but now I no longer feel like I'm missing anything by not using Adobe design products.

Cons

Saving into folders could be better. There should be a way to create shortcuts.

templates so good

Pros

Working as the graphic designer for our nonprofit, keeping up with design requests from a team of 70+ people for flyers, posters and other materials used to be a real challenge especially when it came to prioritizing our brand and making sure everything stayed aligned with our standards. Once we started using Canva Pro and saw the value of having a subscription that could store our brand guidelines along with pre-made templates for others to use, it immediately expanded our capacity. It helped us keep our branding consistent, made sure templates were already approved and gave team members the freedom to create their own flyers, posters and other designs without waiting on turnaround time. It also gave our Communications Department a central place to keep designs for events across our 20+ programs which helped us stay informed about what was happening throughout the organization. Also, it's a very efficient tool that people at any skill level can pick up and use.

Cons

One thing we've noticed while using it with our team is that the folder features could use a bit more improvement. Stronger folder organization would help us stay on top of everything especially from an admin perspective since team members often share items with our main communications account for review. A clearer, more simple way to organize designs, manage folders and create subfolders would make things a lot more convenient for admins.

canva pro wins

Pros

Canva has become part of my everyday routine for my business. I've used Canva Pro to design my business logo and it's gotten me so many compliments. Also, I rely on it daily for my social media content, photo editing and even making fun pictures for my family. One thing I really love is being able to manage everything connected to my brand create high-quality visuals and publish to my social media all from the Canva app with Canva Pro. I'm also really excited to start using the feature that lets me schedule posts in advance. When I first signed up, I didn't expect to keep Canva Pro but I honestly love it and it has been completely worth the monthly cost because I use it so much. It makes my life easier while helping me create beautiful, professional-looking content. I truly couldn't manage the online side of my business without it and I highly recommend it.

Cons

The one thing I really wish it had is a way to organize my designs into folders inside the app. Since I've been using it for several years, all of my designs are just grouped together in one long list. That means I have to spend time scrolling through everything to find the posts I want to share on social media and it ends up being a real time-waster.

endless design options

Pros

Getting started feels very beginner-friendly yet it still has plenty of features when you need more. The templates, along with the wide selection of stock images and graphics, make it feel like the design possibilities never run out.

Cons

Working on team sharing is a bit complicated and it seems like the organization of that part could be improved.

powerful free tools in chrome

Pros

Right from Chrome, it handles most of what I need and the free version is surprisingly capable. Turning videos into animated GIFs is quick and the drag-and-drop setup keeps everything moving fast. Even though I have a lot of Photoshop experience, I still end up using Canva for most projects because the interface is simple to work with. I've been using it for years and it keeps improving over time, even if the Pro price keeps climbing.

Cons

A few more image distortion options and effects would make it even better. I'd also love to see a bigger font selection. Another thing that would help is a way to save uploaded images into groups instead of having everything sit in one long list.

feature packed

Pros

Great overall.... It comes with a massive selection of templates that you can either use as-is or treat as inspiration for your own designs. Everything can be adjusted to match the color palette and dimensions you need, depending on what you're creating. It also includes a huge stock library that's incredibly fast to browse and use, with access to videos, audio and other media.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is more flexibility when editing shapes. Adding a pen tool would make a big difference for me. I'd also love a wider variety of backgrounds and templates. It can also start to lag when I'm working on larger projects with 50+ artboards.

a complete tool

Pros

Whether it's a simple A4 document or a full presentation with custom video elements, Canva makes it incredibly adaptive to create just about any kind of creative asset. The platform offers a lot of flexibility so you're not boxed into one type of design work. Also, its massive online content library keeps projects moving because there's no need to constantly leave the platform to hunt for images, videos or other assets. Since I work with a brand keeping everything visually consistent is a big deal and it handles that really well. You can save logos, fonts and color palettes right in your company profile which makes staying on brand across all materials very simple.

Cons

I've been using it both professionally and personally for close to 10 years and it has kept pace with my own growth as well as the increasing quality of my content. At this point, our marketing team hasn't come across any issues with the current version of Canva since 2022.

Honestly don't have anything negative to say about it especially since they keep improving the tool with continuous feature updates.

create anytime with canva

Pros

Canva has made things much more practical for me. Being able to create whenever I want is fantastic and I'd gladly recommend it to patients, entrepreneurs and students alike.

Cons

The price of the Pro version feels quite high in my country because of the currency difference. For new entrepreneurs, it can be discouraging not to be able to keep paying for the premium subscription.

fun templates for every project

Pros

Getting started with Canva felt surprisingly simple, even though design has never really been my strong point. The platform made the whole process enjoyable and I had fun using it. I also appreciated the huge variety of options available because it was very quick to find a template that matched exactly what I needed.

Cons

Not much to complain about with it. If I had to point out one thing, it would be that the platform can feel a little overwhelming in the beginning. With so many templates and features available, it's not always obvious where to begin. Still, after spending a little time with it, it becomes much easier to navigate and create really nice-looking designs.

i use it daily

Pros

Whenever I need to put something together fast, it does the job. It has everything I need for quick photo edits, logos, banners, ad posts and social media thumbnails, along with other content creation, website visuals and graphic design work. The free plan is very generous too, with access to hundreds of templates and design options that work well across desktop, tablet and mobile. Uploading, downloading and sharing my projects to other platforms is also very quick and even the free designs still look polished and professional.

Cons

One limitation with the free version is stock images since many of the more appealing and popular ones are locked behind the paid plan. That said, the subscription is reasonably priced and if you already have your own images, uploading them into your designs is simple and works well.
