“quality is really nice”

Pros

Working with Canva's design side has been consistently excellent for me and I've been using it for a long time now. The tools are clear, quick and simple to use. It's genuinely impressive, very functional, with attractive designs and excellent value for the money. The support has also been outstanding, both for the design platform and their print shop. I ordered cards and shirts and both arrived on time. After reading other reviews, I also want to mention that I personally never needed to contact after-sales support but one of my clients wasn't happy with the quality of the greeting cards and it offered to reprint them on better-quality paper, with her only paying the price difference. I created a logo and then had it printed on business cards and cards and everything arrived in just over four days and looked excellent. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to build their brand image. It's a bit like a game,the more time you spend with it, the more you experiment. In short, I recommend it without hesitation.

Cons

There are still some frustrating points though. I checked the tracking information and saw that the order would not arrive until Monday. The platform can also become slow and laggy while putting a design together. I understand the site probably has a lot of elements to handle but at times the lag is really frustrating and inefficient. I was using the free trial and created a presentation that I had spent a lot of time and effort on. Just a few hours after making edits, the app started showing a blank screen or an error whenever I tried to open it, download it or make a copy, both on my phone and across all the devices and browsers I tested. I contacted customer support about it on Sunday night and by Wednesday afternoon nothing had been resolved. They kept sending the same generic responses saying they were working on it and would let me know when it was fixed. I even asked whether they could at least provide me with a PDF copy of the presentation so I could move it to PowerPoint and keep working on it but they never got back to me.

Pros

Canva's latest version has been a really strong update for me, mainly because the app feels very adaptive to use. The newer layout organizes the features into tabs and if needed, there's also a button that reveals everything at once which makes navigation much more practical. The part I enjoyed most in this version is being able to turn images into videos or animations, as well as create animated Instagram stories and even add music. Overall, it is still one of my biggest work allies thanks to how versatile it is and how often it adds new functions that help make my tasks faster and more efficient.

Cons

On the downside some features are still locked behind payment, including things like certain shapes and frames which is frustrating. In the current version, the music options are also still blocked. Another issue I see is that the mobile app runs very slowly which I believe is related to the large number of features it now has. Also, every design that gets created stays stored in the app, even after being moved to the trash which seems to slow the device down even more and delay some work. To improve the app's performance, I think it should make at least some basic elements, such as simpler shapes, borders and even a few music options, available for free.

“incredible overall”

Pros

After 15 years in graphic design across all kinds of businesses and projects, from print work to advertising, I have a long list of positives for it and could honestly go on for quite a while. I usually work in Adobe products but over the last two years it has handled about 98% of what I need. A few standout things for me are the preset templates for platform sizes like Facebook headers which have become essential, the massive stock library that's incredibly fast to browse and use and the addition of video tools. The templates, content and design assets are consistently high quality and feel current and the moving photo options for social media posts are fantastic. One of the biggest advantages is how quickly I can resize a design for different export formats. I catch myself wishing Adobe had that same capability built in as well as this tool does. Even that feature alone justified the Pro version for me but overall the whole platform is excellent. They keep adding useful updates and it genuinely makes day-to-day design work faster and more convenient for both me and my team. It has become one of our go-to tools.

Cons

There's honestly very little I can criticize about it. If I had to point to one weakness, it would be the file organization because I do wish that part were better. That said, it's also possible I'm not using the best method and there may already be a better way to manage it. Aside from that, I really don't have any complaints. As I mentioned, it covers around 98% of my design needs and the remaining 2% is the kind of highly detailed, advanced editing I would only expect from software like Photoshop or Illustrator anyway. I'm completely fine with that tradeoff. It does mean I still need both platforms to fully handle my work but considering how much time it saves me, it's absolutely worth it.

Pros

It has been a really enjoyable tool to work with because it's simple to use and lets me turn almost any idea in my head into a design within seconds. The built-in elements save a lot of time and the image library is especially useful since I can usually find exactly what I need in just a few clicks, with plenty of high-quality options available. I use it a lot for marketing campaigns for my business and the social media templates for platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest are some of the features I rely on most. Video editing has also been a pleasant surprise especially for Instagram stories because I can put together engaging videos without needing advanced editing skills, thanks to the ready-made templates. Another thing I really appreciate is the font selection,there are hundreds of modern styles so it's easy to find something that matches the look I want. The commercial use rights are also a big advantage since I can use the images and design elements confidently for business purposes. Also, being an online platform means I don't need a powerful computer to run it which makes it much more convenient than many other design programs. As an all-in-one graphic design tool, it's incredibly helpful especially for people without a professional design background. I've also been happy with some of the newer additions, like the curved text feature which has been a very useful update.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is the Android app getting more functionality. It would be really helpful if it added options such as background removal for images, image conversion, font stroke effects, an erase tool and a pin tool. A section that shows all the elements used inside a project would also make editing more organized. I'd also love to see even more social media templates added in the future especially for Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. Even with that, their team has been doing a very good job particularly with the latest updates.

So good that it has become one of the go-to online design platforms for creating professional content for businesses and social media. One thing that makes it stand out is how approachable it is,you do not need prior design experience or any learning curve to get started yet it still feels capable enough for both beginners and professionals. A few benefits I've noticed while using Canva include, the editor is neatly organized, with simple tools and simple navigation, there is a huge collection of polished templates for marketing materials social posts, logos, videos, presentations, resumes, websites and more, it includes free images, audio and video assets that are relevant to different projects, every template can be adjusted to match your specific needs, the Elements tab is especially useful for building attractive visuals with ready-made shapes and objects, it works really well for creating YouTube intros and outros, everything saves automatically online so there's no constant worry about losing progress, there is plenty of cloud storage depending on your plan for keeping videos and images, collaboration is also convenient since you can invite team members or other contributors to work together in real time and overall, it helps cut costs because hiring a designer and purchasing separate media assets can be quite expensive.

Cons

There are still a few limitations that can get in the way. Assets provided by it, such as images, built-in elements and videos, cannot be fully edited or modified because of copyright restrictions although you can still resize, rotate and recolor certain items. Another downside is that transitions and animation effects cannot be applied to individual objects,once you choose an effect, it affects the entire page instead. It also allows only one audio track for a whole project which makes it much harder to build more dynamic presentations or video content. Also, there are no proper drawing tools like pens or brushes and that can be a real drawback for tasks such as logo design.

Pros

This software has genuinely been a game changer for both my work and my career. As a blogger, I constantly need visuals for my content and when it comes to making infographics, it's hard to beat. There are so many polished, professional templates to choose from and it really helps turn ideas into something visually impressive. Whether I need graphics for Facebook, Twitter or a blog post, everything I need is already there. It has honestly taken a lot of pressure off my workflow. From stock photos to amazing icons, Canva keeps a huge range of resources in one place so I don't have to waste time searching around or struggling with design. The download options are also very convenient. Overall, even without strong design skills, it's still possible to create professional-looking designs with Canva by your side.

That said, there's still some room for improvement. It could definitely expand its library with more stock photos, videos and similar assets. A better organized internal file management system would also make a big difference. It would be even more helpful if the tools were updated further to simplify the process for users. Also, Canva's photo retouching features still need work. The current photo adjustment controls don't feel strong enough yet. If it improves these areas, it could become truly unbeatable in the design tool market.

Pros

Canva has been a much better fit for me than Photoshop ever was. I paid for Photoshop for a full year and still couldn't really make sense of it, while Canva feels affordable with the Pro plan and much more manageable to use if you're not especially technical or trained in graphic design. The templates make a huge difference for me. I depend on them to customize designs and create my own pieces using the ready-made layouts, images and fonts. I especially enjoy using it to make Christmas cards and they've turned out beautifully every single year.

Cons

The free version feels very restrictive in terms of what you can actually do. I ran into a few problems with the basic plan when saving photos especially when the dimensions didn't come out correctly. Not being able to resize anything in the free version is honestly frustrating because resizing seems like one of the most fundamental things you should be able to do with an image. It also feels like almost every useful feature is locked behind Pro. One area where it really let me down was resume templates. Even though the design looked beautiful on the software, it wasn't practical for creating a resume that was actually usable.

“perfect for daily content”

Pros

Having ready-made templates and preset sizes for social media is a huge help. I use it every day to make fresh content, whether it's a new Instagram story, a post for Facebook or something for Twitter. Creating content has become much faster and more convenient than before. The web dashboard is simple and practical and the mobile app also feels polished and professional. I also find the cloud saving and export options in different formats very valuable and the tools for making GIFs and animated videos are something I really enjoy using.

Cons

While editing images in the browser, certain parts occasionally don't function properly and if I zoom the page in the browser, it often won't return to the previous view unless I refresh the page. The iOS app on iPad also feels like it could offer more advanced features since it still seems quite basic and almost identical to the web version. Aside from these relatively minor issues, the platform works well overall and I'm satisfied with it.

Pros

Canva has completely transformed the way I work. On a small agency team, we try to keep as much of our budget in-house as we can and it lets us produce all kinds of simple marketing pieces that we used to outsource to freelance designers. Posters, flyers, mailers social videos, presentations,almost every week we end up finding another marketing task that it helps us handle faster, more affordably and with less hassle internally. It has also made our workflow much more efficient because everything is in one place, stock photos, video, fonts and even music are available right inside the platform and it's simple to export in different formats or even send projects straight to a professional printer. The interface feels very adaptive and it doesn't take much effort to make polished, attractive materials. One feature I especially value is how neatly it lets you resize designs when you need multiple versions. It may seem minor but even something as basic as being able to quickly create transparent PNGs and remove backgrounds from images is incredibly useful. It's also a big plus that other team members can be invited in to collaborate on projects.

Cons

I'd still love to see it expand its stock library for images, video and music although I'm already pretty satisfied with what's there now. A better internal system for organizing files would also make a difference and I'd welcome more tools for getting print-ready files prepared properly. The photo retouching side is fairly limited at the moment as well and the adjustment controls for photos don't feel especially refined or subtle.

“It's easy to use”

After using this for a long time, it has become my go-to platform for online multimedia editing and for finding royalty-free photos, videos and other useful templates. I originally started by downloading images for my blog and for a client whose website I help design. The photos can be filtered across different categories which makes it much easier to match the niche or style of a project. The image quality is high resolution so they are very appealing to work with. There is no strict requirement around usage though I still prefer to message the uploader to thank them for sharing their work and to give proper credit in the final project. Capturing a beautiful or peaceful image takes real effort and attention to details like lighting, angle and object placement so I appreciate the creators behind them. There are also sponsored stock photo links available in case you cannot find what you need in the standard library. Also, the video collection is extensive which is very helpful when creating intro videos for social platforms like Facebook and Instagram. I also use those videos for personalized banners and animated GIFs which will definitely be useful in future projects. The templates are another highlight since they let you add text effects, transitions and splicing with a lot of creative control.

Cons

The only small downside is that it cannot be used offline. Still, it has not affected me much because I already have other software installed to handle that part.

It has been one of the most valuable tools I've used for marketing, branding and design. honestly I've been on the platform for over two years and I've made a lot of money from the design templates available there. When you look at the features it offers, it comes with a welcome option in the form of a Free Plan and then a Pro trial version once you decide to upgrade. The free plan already gives access to about 80% of the content and design resources which is a huge advantage. I've stayed on the free plan for a long time because of the added option to pay only at the point of download. By that, I mean if you create something using premium content, it lets you download that item for just $1 at the point of export. Compared to many other design tools, that pricing model makes it a very attractive option. Then there's the Pro trial version which gives you 30 days free before any billing starts once you subscribe. At the time of this review, the Pro plan costs $12.95 per month. It includes excellent features like real-time collaboration where you can see edits as they happen, access to more than 75 million premium photos, videos and elements, over 3,000 premium fonts, more than 420,000 premium templates, 100GB of storage, premium animations, background remover, magic resize, brand kits, extra folders and plenty more. Also, the platform is very user-friendly and integrates well with many other apps.

Cons

Even though a platform like this needs constant uploads of fresh videos, templates, elements, photos and other resources to stay useful, it keeps up with that demand very well. They regularly add both free and paid design assets and features so I really don't have any complaints about it.

“canva saves me hours”

Pros

It has honestly become my go-to tool. It's one of the most useful, designer-friendly, user-friendly and time-saving products I've worked with in years. The features are fantastic and simple to use and I regularly pick it over my advanced photo editing and design software that costs about eight times more. I use it almost every day for social media posts, web graphics, logos, documents, posters and sale announcements. After spending years learning complicated high-end design programs and still taking hours to get things just right, it's refreshing to finish the same kind of work in around half an hour and move on with my day. It's been amazing. The sizing guides alone have probably saved me 10,000 grey hairs. Keeping up with changing social media dimensions has been a constant headache especially when recommended sizes still display incorrectly and ruin the final result. Canva's resize options make it so much faster to adjust designs for different platforms and get them looking right. I really can't recommend it enough. Other than my accounting software, this is right at the top of my list and would be one of the last things I'd ever cut from the budget. It saves me tons of time while still helping me create polished designs and keep my business moving. The new option to invite a teammate also looks like it's going to be really useful.

Cons

There are a few minor frustrations. The background remover will sometimes stall or not work properly which is understandable considering how much processing it has to do but it can still be annoying. The newer background brush feature for restoring or refining removed areas is also a really nice addition but it's not very convenient if you want to return to it later. It feels like you get one opportunity to use it and then that's it. Again, I assume it may still be in beta and it's still a very cool feature so I appreciate having it. Another limitation is that some element colors can't be changed. For example, if there's a yellow star sprinkle, I can't always turn it purple to fit a brand palette. You can add a filter but that only helps so much. I've also noticed the photo search works much better from inside the design editor than from the main platform search. If I search for something like "pendulum" on the platform, I might only see a handful of images but inside a design I suddenly get hundreds of results. Searching on the full screen is much more convenient than using a dropdown so it would be fantastic if the stronger design-page search results could also be available on the main photo search page.

“effortless to use”

Canva Pro has become my go-to, mainly in the web version though I also have it on desktop and iPhone. I mostly create web-based designs especially for social media and the platform itself looks gorgeous. Right from the home page, it feels like you're in exactly the right place to build standout visuals. There are hundreds of templates across tons of formats, all sized correctly for their intended use and if needed, you can also start with custom dimensions. Searching is very simple too,type something like "Instagram" into the search bar and it will show template categories such as stories, feed posts and more for that platform. You can even use search to pull up your own past designs. The templates are simple to personalize and if you prefer, you can always begin with a blank canvas. There's also a huge selection of design assets to work with, including images, illustrations, videos and more or you can upload your own files. Another feature I really appreciate is being able to keep designs and uploads organized in folders which are accessible both from the home page and while working inside a design.

Cons

A few times, I've only discovered certain features by accidentally stumbling across them rather than knowing they were there from the start. The massive number of design elements can also feel a little overwhelming. Since I'm pretty particular, I sometimes spend far too long scrolling through dozens of choices just to find the one that feels right. It can also be somewhat tedious to keep opening and closing menus and tabs when trying to access graphics or formatting tools. That said, learning the keyboard shortcuts would probably help cut down on some of that friction.

“endless template options”

Pros

Getting started with graphic design feels much more approachable with it because it offers such a wide range of templates. That makes it an excellent web app for complete beginners. I also really appreciate the way it connects with stock photo sources like Pexels since I can pull images directly into my designs without downloading them to my computer first and then uploading them again. Another feature that is especially helpful is being able to work with multiple pages inside the same Canva file. It lets me build several designs and templates in one place instead of jumping between separate documents. Also, the asset search and folder organization tools are really useful for keeping everything tidy and quick to find.

Cons

Now and then, it can slow down when a document has a lot of pages or includes a large number of elements. It does get frustrating when that happens although it's fairly uncommon. The background remover can also be weak with more complex images, even though it works very well on simpler ones because it's fast and convenient. It would be much better if there were an option to roughly mark the parts of the image I want kept before the background is removed, instead of only being able to adjust things afterward.

“it's actually good”

One of the biggest advantages of this tool is its user-friendly interface. A lot of traditional design software still feels outdated and even though those programs offer tons of features, their interfaces are often packed with unnecessary clutter. For someone new like me, that can be really frustrating. Canva, on the other hand is very simple to use and comes with plenty of free templates. If you go for the premium subscription, you unlock even more options. Another huge plus is that tools like Photoshop and Illustrator usually need a lot of processing power and storage but it doesn't. The most impressive part is that I can make designs in this tool while commuting using my 4-year-old iPad. The built-in image and element library is also a very valuable feature. I prefer not to search Google for assets and then manually add them to a design. Instead, I can just type the kind of image I want into Canva's search bar and most of the time I find exactly what I need. And if not, uploading my own photos is always an option. Good typography matters in design and the tool's font library is good enough for that too. There are lots of free fonts available to experiment with. Also, it also offers plenty of motion graphics templates which makes it really useful for creating engaging social media content.

Cons

I've been using it for quite a while and it keeps getting better over time. honestly it's hard to point out any major downside with this tool. That said, there are still a few areas where it could improve. For instance, the image library could be expanded further. It would also be fantastic if they added support for vector files. I'm hoping their team continues adding more features that will be helpful for content marketers like me.

Getting started with this platform is simple, even without any background in design because it includes plenty of graphic design tools that are very user-friendly. Being able to use it from both a computer and a smartphone makes it really convenient. There's also a huge library of vectors, lots of ready-made templates for all kinds of needs and a wide selection of fonts. Also, creating animations for videos is simple. Another big plus is that it doesn't bombard you with annoying ads. It also supports cloud-based teamwork which has become especially valuable during times when remote collaboration matters most.

Cons

The free plan misses some of the more appealing features and the pro version can feel a bit pricey. On the mobile app, there's no option to share files as PDF and when a PNG image is compressed, it loses quality when sending it through WhatsApp.

“Excellent tool!!”

Starting out as a YouTuber, I had a tough time finding software or an app that could help me make eye-catching pictures and thumbnails while still letting me be creative. This really covers everything,colors, photos, fonts and so much more. The biggest advantage is how flexible it is. Whether it's social media posts, book covers, flyers, logos or anything else you need to build your brand it has it handled. The saving and sharing options are really convenient and cleverly designed. You can save your work straight to your gallery or post it directly to social media and that's only part of what it can do. Being able to save designs without a background is a huge plus too. For anyone who enjoys creating, having a transparent background option is amazing. A lot of times you need a separate app or program for that but Canva already includes it. It honestly feels like it keeps offering more and more, in the best possible way. There are hundreds of themes and HD stock images, plus short videos, stickers, illustrations, lines and shapes that add so much variety to any design. Another thing I really appreciate is being able to choose the exact image size I want. The preset dimensions for social media are especially useful because they make sure everything fits perfectly without unnecessary adjustments. Technology at its finest. The free trial is also excellent,and it lasts a whole month which is kind of amazing. Also, the premium version is surprisingly affordable. If you're trying to stay within a budget, it's definitely a good option and worth paying for. You also get plenty of time to keep using it until you're fully comfortable with it.

Cons

Only real issue I have with it is the logo selection. The logo themes feel a bit too basic for someone who wants to create something more bold or adventurous. If you're new to design or prefer a simpler style, that probably won't matter much. Aside from that, I really have no complaints.

“canva sped up everything”

Pros

Switching from Photoshop and Envato Elements to Canva Pro saved me a huge amount of time. I never expected it to replace Photoshop completely but for creating frequent social media posters and graphic ads, it turned out to be exactly what I needed. It lets me produce professional-looking posters, banners, flyers, brochures, invitations, business cards, logos, infographics and pretty much any other design I need. The platform offers thousands of high-quality templates and when I don't want to use one, I can build a design from scratch by mixing different assets from Canva's massive built-in library of premium stock photos, videos, PNG elements, clipart and fonts. Another thing that really helps is how adaptive the workspace feels. The editing tools are simple to navigate and there's hardly any lag or glitching when adjusting image effects, resizing, repositioning or copying elements from one design into another. The built-in background remover is also one of the best online tools I've used. Altogether, these features make the workflow fast, convenient and genuinely satisfying.

Cons

The biggest downside is that Canva Pro feels expensive to keep paying for, whether monthly or yearly. Compared with Photoshop, the way it handles layers is much less convenient especially when working inside more complex layouts. Once elements overlap, selecting and editing individual layers can become frustrating because there are very limited controls for managing them properly. I also run into trouble when dragging a new image into a design since it tends to snap it into an existing frame and replace the current image automatically which can be annoying to work around. My uploaded files would also be much easier to manage if it offered a better folder organization system with tagging options. Also, the video and animation tools still feel very basic. Even simpler design platforms like Placeit or InVideo offer more variety and better video creation options. It still misses features like a proper timeline editor and keyframe animation tools, similar to what PixTeller provides.

“has a huge font variety”

Pros

Getting started with this tool is very simple especially for anyone who doesn't have design or video editing experience. It comes with excellent images, videos and templates that make putting together quick designs and short videos much faster. There's also a large collection of vector graphics and elements available for free commercial use which is really useful. I also appreciate that all of my projects are stored in my account so I don't have to keep downloading them as PSD files or anything similar. The undo feature is helpful and the work history option, even though it's still in beta, has been working well for me. Also, the free fonts and font styles are impressive, with lots of color choices. The one-month free trial is another plus and it's nice that you can cancel anytime without getting charged on your credit card or PayPal.

Cons

Custom size option is limited because you can't create designs larger than 5000 x 5000 px. The project page also feels lacking since it doesn't offer more advanced tools such as layers, effects or background controls. There are still several missing features, including an erase tool, selection tool, background remover and even something like a color hunt tool. The text styles and effects available are also fairly limited. Another drawback is the absence of a stroke tool for adding outlines to text or elements. You also can't truly merge two or three layers into one single layer,you can only group them which isn't the same thing. Working with transparent backgrounds isn't possible either. On the video side, there should definitely be more effects and transitions to choose from when editing videos.

“it keeps getting better”

Pros

Running a business and creating content has been a lot easier for me since I started using it several years ago. The biggest reason is that it's clearly built with non-designers in mind so putting together things like YouTube and Facebook thumbnails, Instagram and Facebook flyers and banners doesn't feel overwhelming. Compared with Adobe Photoshop, it's much more approachable while still offering a lot of similar functionality. Another thing I really appreciate is how often they improve the platform. Right when it starts to feel like I might need to move over to something like Adobe for a specific feature, Canva usually adds it. A perfect example is the transparency tool they introduced a year or two ago which has been a huge upgrade for me. Being able to create images with transparent backgrounds opened up a lot more creative options than I had before. And that's coming from someone who already knows Photoshop and Lightroom. Even with that background, it is still the tool I reach for first because it's simpler and much more beginner-friendly. You can absolutely use the free version but I strongly recommend the premium plan because it's affordable and gives you access to a ton of useful extras, including stock photos and editing tools that make the subscription worth paying for.

About the only downside I can point to is that I still wish it included a few more advanced editing tools. Every now and then I end up finishing an image in an Adobe program although honestly that doesn't happen very often.
