“Dependable”

Pros

Honestly Grammarly has become a constant companion in my writing. I'm even using the Grammarly assistant to write this review right now. While my thoughts are moving quickly, it helps keep everything organized and properly structured on the screen. I've been blogging for the last 6 months but I've actually relied on Grammarly for around 2 years especially when writing emails to professors where proper grammar really matters and also when reaching out to recruiters. From simple emails to full blog posts, it has consistently supported my writing. Even casual texts to loved ones become clearer and easier for them to read because of it. Without Grammarly, I doubt I would have been able to choose the right words or build sentences with polished grammar. The paid Business version is especially useful because it catches incorrect word usage, punctuation mistakes, spelling errors and wrong tense forms. When I open the Grammarly editor while writing, I can work in real time as it reviews the quality of my paragraphs alongside me. That makes it much easier to maintain a proper stand ard in my wording. It's particularly helpful for beginners who want to stay aware of their mistakes without wasting time rereading or revising an entire 5000+ word document. It also recommends better vocabulary choices and offers strong word suggestions, keeping my writing as grammatically accurate as possible. That's exactly why Grammarly Business stand s out to me so much.

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how well it catches confusing prepositions, repeated words, spelling mistakes and other grammar issues I might otherwise miss. It's also very simple to use sogetting started doesn't take any effort.

Cons

It doesn't perform well everywhere especially in Google Docs where it doesn't seem to work properly. The free version is also quite limited since it mainly covers spelling and grammar corrections only. Also, the ads can get pretty annoying especially because they constantly push you toward upgrading.

Pros

Whether I'm in my browser, on my phone or working through documents, it runs automatically and keeps an eye on my grammar wherever I'm typing. It's really convenient to have that kind of support on the go and across pretty much everything I do.

Cons

Whats annoying is that it checks nearly every text field in the browser. When it pops up while I'm using our database, it can cover the corner I need to grab to expand the window. It's not a major problem but it does happen pretty regularly.

Pros

After using the free version for a while, moving to Grammarly Business felt like a real upgrade. I started with the basic app and switched because I genuinely loved how well Grammarly worked. With the business version, all of my content gets reviewed thoroughly, everything comes out organized and I can send writing without worrying about mistakes. It's one of the best tools for making sure your grammar doesn't look messy to other people.

Honestly there's very little here to complain about. The software puts everything right at your fingertips makingit simple to check that your content is reviewed properly and has correct grammar. I really enjoy using it a lot.

Pros

As a student, it has easily become one of my favorite programs on my computer. My writing is not my strongest skill and I miss punctuation in my papers all the time sohaving something that catches mistakes almost immediately has been a huge help. Even while writing this review, it has helped me put together better sentences for software reviews while also giving me more practice for school writing. If I misspell something obvious, like typing "punctuatons" instead of "punctuation," it recognizes the mistake right away and fixes it. It also catches less noticeable issues, like a missing comma or an extra word in a sentence and marks them so you can review the suggestion. What I really appreciate is that it explains why it wants to make a change and with one click I can apply the correction. That feels much more useful than software that changes things automatically becauseit actually helps you learn from the mistake instead of repeating it without understand ing why. I can honestly say it has helped me with essays in my English and AP U.S. History classes. My teachers have mentioned that my writing has improved a bit and that I have been catching punctuation problems more often. Also, Grammarly gives a detailed breakdown of your writing with scores for Correctness, Clarity, Engagement and Delivery, plus an overall score out of 100 whichis a really helpful way to judge the quality of what you wrote.

Grammarly catches most mistakes but it is not perfect. There are times when it suggests a correction that is technically grammatical but still sounds a little unnatural. Without the tool, you also do not get alternate word choices sosometimes you are limited to a very basic correction of the original word. Another minor issue is that Grammarly does not work on every website for some reason. It is not a major problem but it can definitely be annoying when I have to switch over to Google Docs just to use it. I would also love to see it expand ed beyond browser use and added to more software, like Discord since that is another place where I notice myself making typing mistakes while chatting with friends. Since I sometimes type in Korean too, I would really like to see it support more languages in the future. I know that is probably a big process but it would be a huge benefit for people trying to learn or practice another language.

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how it tells me the mood behind what I'm writing while also checking my spelling at the same time. It also keeps up with my mistakes and gives me a better sense of my writing style, including the tone and mood of what I type.

Cons

Honestly I do not have much negative to say about it. The only downside is that it shows up pretty much anywhere there is a text box and that can be a little annoying at times especially on Twitter when I am shortening words a lot or deliberately misspelling things. Still, oh well, LOL!

Pros

Writing in English isn't my first language so it has become the grammar expert I rely on most. I usually draft everything in a simple text file first, then paste it into Grammarly and it feels like hand ing my work to an English teacher who checks it right away. It gives me confidence that the copy reads well and goes out without mistakes. My clients have been very happy with the results, even if they probably have no idea Grammarly is part of the process.

I don't really have any major complaints about Grammarly. If anything, the price would be the only concern though I can understand it because the quality is genuinely very good. I'd also appreciate a simpler way to switch between the UK and American dictionary.

It always seems to happen.. you spend hours working on a document or article, read through it again and again, fix every typo you can spot, check the grammar, hit send and only then notice a hidden "teh" instead of "the" or a sentence that never seems to end. That kind of mistake slips through because no matter how careful we are, we're still human. Grammarly Business feels like having a grammar teacher built right into the computer. If a word is misspelled, it marks it in red and often corrects it automatically. If a verb is used the wrong way, it points that out too, highlights the issue and offers suggestions when you click on it. It helps make sure every document, newsletter and blog post comes out looking polished and professional.

“Works great”

Pros

Working in construction, we still expect our field staff to communicate by email and sometimes those messages go to high-stakes clients. They need to come across as professional and polished without spending extra time proofreading every note. Grammarly has been the perfect fix for that, they write, Grammarly catches issues and makes suggestions and an extra 5-10 seconds can prevent some pretty embarrassing and very common mistakes. The tone detector is also a huge plus. A few well-intentioned employees don't always strike the right tone in emails and Grammarly points that out so they can adjust and sound less forceful. I'm actually using it right now. :)

A few employees had a tough time adjusting at first because the green circle pops up automatically while it checks their writing and sometimes it blocks part of the text. After a while though, they stop noticing it as much and recognize the value.

Pros

So writing is a big part of my job, whether it's emails, letters, memos or other documents and the truth is nobody gets every sentence perfect especially when there's no extra time to focus on style and punctuation. That's exactly why we use Grammarly so often in our HR department. Three features really stand out to me. First, the MS Office plugin works with Word and Honestly I think that's the best way to use Grammarly. Second, the Style Guide is one of the most useful tools because it acts like a real-time assistant, checking the tone and writing style based on the kind of document I'm preparing and suggesting better ways to phrase things. Finally, the real-time grammar checker is extremely helpful since it catches grammar mistakes and even advanced grammar issues that you probably would not notice if you were only relying on MS Word.

One thing that has been frustrating is that the Microsoft Office plugin sometimes runs into synchronization problems and I end up having to reinstall it to get it working again. I've seen this happen across several different versions of it.

With the kind of work I do, I'm constantly drafting documents and it's common for a few mistakes to slip through while I'm writing. It has been a really useful assistant because it flags grammar, punctuation and sentence structure issues in real time, even when I'm working on multiple documents at once.

The advanced suggestions don't work in Google Docs when using Safari. That's something Grammarly really needs to improve.

Right away, it gives me real-time feedback while I write and it integrates well with the platforms I already use. The admin controls are solid and efficient whichhelps manage overall article performance effectively. It also lets you track team usage statistics, provides email support and includes advanced security features. It has been useful for me almost everywhere, even while writing this review on Capterra.

Cons

Grammarly is helpful for catching grammar mistakes and spelling errors but it does not deliver perfect results every single time. One of its biggest drawbacks is that there is no offline mode soyou have to stay connected to the internet to use it. Also, it is a little expensive.

Pros

One thing I really appreciate about Grammarly is how effortlessly it helps turn writing into grammatically correct sentences. Even while typing this, the browser extension is stepping in and making my wording look smarter. Having that extension available across the web is a big plus because it helps you write correctly almost anywhere. The plagiarism checker is also very useful especially when reviewing or assessing articles. For people who aren't native English speakers, this feels close to essential.

My biggest concern with the software is data privacy. Since everything you write gets scanned and analyzed in order to generate suggestions, that can raise security questions. At one company where I used Grammarly, we eventually had to stop using it after our IT team flagged privacy concerns. I'm not a technical expert myself but their explanation was that the Grammarly Chrome extension is always active, including when something like Google Docs is open. If confidential information appears in a document, the tool could potentially access it, even when the option to make suggestions in Docs is enabled. That concern alone was enough for us to stop using it.

Pros

Beyond basic autocorrect on a phone, Grammarly comes with a lot of genuinely useful extras. One feature I really appreciate is being able to choose the exact version of English you want, such as Canadian English or British English, along with several other language options. It also suggests synonyms whichhelps make writing sound more polished and professional. Even when it offers corrections, it usually preserves the original meaning of the sentence and that is one of the things I value most. Another stand out feature is the tone detection. That matters a lot because it helps make sure the intention behind your writing stays on track. If you are responding to something sensitive like a client complaint, it can analyze the message and label the tone as cheerful, optimistic, confident and more. In my case, those were some of the categories it identified soyou can judge how accurate that seems. All of these are really useful additions on top of the regular autocorrect features.

Price can definitely be a downside. For students or small businesses, it may feel expensive, even if it is still somewhat more affordable than some competing tools. It also does not function properly on a few websites. Those seem to be exceptions rather than the norm since it works with most sites but it is still worth mentioning.

Honestly just using the free version is worthwhile for almost anyone because it helps catch those everyday mistakes that can be embarrassing in business communication.

Its grammar suggestions are not always correct. It seems accurate around 75-80% of the time but there are still plenty of recommendations that miss the mark. If someone already knows grammar well, those suggestions are usually easy to dismiss. For users who are less confident with grammar though, those inaccuracies can actually create more communication problems.

I first tried Grammarly because English isn't my first language and I wanted some extra help with business emails but after more than two years of using it, it has turned out to be far more useful than I expected. The biggest advantage is how simple it is to work into everyday writing. You just install the extension, available for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Explorer and it starts marking grammar mistakes automatically while suggesting the correct spelling. You can even use it without creating an account if that's your preference. I'm still on the free plan though there are premium and business options as well. It's also not limited to your browser since you can connect it with MS Word and Google Docs too. Another thing I appreciate is that you can switch Grammarly off on specific websites whenever needed. Beyond correcting grammar, spelling and punctuation, it also points out overly complicated sentences and encourages clearer writing. The synonym suggestions are helpful for expand ing vocabulary and the tone and politeness recommendations have been especially valuable for my business communication. It can even detect how formal your writing sounds whichI find incredibly useful. Also, they also provide features designed for teams and brand s.

Cons

A small annoyance is the little green circle Grammarly shows in the lower-right corner of the typing area when it's active. At times it blocks part of the text or gets in the way when I need to click in that spot.

“easy to use”

Pros

Having several tools in one place for writing support has been a big help for me especially when working on reports. The plagiarism checker is very useful because it points out where the wording is too close to another source and shows where it came from, with the sections clearly highlighted. That became especially valuable after spending hours on the same project, when I was no longer fully noticing how I was phrasing things. The grammar and spelling features have been even more helpful. You can choose the tone you want for your writing, whether professional, friendly, confident and so on and it gives practical suggestions to help you get there, along with a final score at the end. I usually try to get above 90. It also keeps calling out passive versus active voice whichI used to overlook but that constant reminder has made me much more aware of it while writing. I would definitely recommend this software.

There really is not much I dislike about it. If I had to mention one downside, it would be the price since the software is paid and not everyone can afford it. In my case, I share the subscription with my family but it is still a pity that it is not more accessible to everyone.

With email being such a big part of daily communication, having error-free writing really matters. Grammarly is excellent for that, it catches spelling, punctuation and grammar issues and Honestly even native speakers can miss those small mistakes. It has been incredibly useful, from fixing little errors to helping turn a draft into a polished document. I also use Grammarly with Word documents and reports and it genuinely feels like having a second set of eyes once the writing is finished. Also, it goes beyond the basic spell check built into most software.

At this point, I really haven't run into any problems with Grammarly Business. It works flawlessly across the web browser, Word and even the mobile app and the integration has been smooth throughout.

“Saves my time”

No matter if I'm on and roid, iOS, Windows or the web, Grammarly is there whenever I need it. Its grammar engine is really powerful and catches nearly every kind of writing mistake. As a grad student, I rely on it almost every day and Honestly it has been the best writing tool for me.

Cons

Even though it does a very good job fixing grammar, it's still a machine and can't always keep up with newly emerging words. That becomes more noticeable with scientific terminology since new terms evolve all the time and it often doesn't recognize them. Another downside is that some useful features are locked behind the premium subscription whichis tough to afford as a student.
