Pros

First-touch outreach matters a lot in sales because it sets the tone for the impression a prospect gets. When an email reads poorly or has grammar issues, it can leave a bad impression right away. Grammarly has been a huge help in putting together clearer, more polished and grammatically correct emails for both prospects and existing clients.

Cons

The backend reports about how my emails were written never felt necessary for me since tracking or measuring that side of things just wasn't important in my workflow.

“love it for professional writing”

Pros

After using this software for years, I've watched it improve a lot and I absolutely love it. Traditional spell check and grammar tools are helpful but they're usually stuck inside word processing docs. Grammarly works across websites, Google Docs, emails and more whichmakes a huge difference. When I'm applying for jobs online and filling in comment boxes or text fields, it helps catch mistakes before I submit anything. It has saved me more times than I can count in emails and polished professional writing is a big part of my job. I even used it while writing this review. The free version offers a lot and I'd definitely recommend installing it.

Cons

One minor annoyance is the little green check icon whichsometimes sits right where I need to type and gets in the way. I've always been able to work around it though. It's also not something you should rely on completely for grammar since it can miss context or get confused by industry-specific language and jargon. Even with that, those issues are nowhere near enough to outweigh all the benefits.

Getting started is completely free, with the option to upgrade to premium if you want more features. Signing up is simple since you can log in with your Google or Facebook account whichsaves time. It also works across most popular browsers through the extension and there are add-ins available for both Outlook and Microsoft Word. Also, support for Google Docs makes it even more convenient to use in different workflows.

Cons

An area that could use some improvement is the Outlook add-in becausegrammar checks can occasionally take a while to complete. Pricing also feels like something the team should revisit especially for users outside the US since the cost can be quite high in countries where the local currency is weaker than the US dollar.

Pros

These days, Grammarly Business has become my go-to whenever I want to catch writing mistakes. I even prefer drafting my articles directly in Grammarly now and if I write something somewhere else, I still upload it afterward so it can review and correct it. The whole experience has been really impressive. I actually started back in 2017 with the free version and it worked perfectly well for what I needed at the time. Later, I moved to a paid plan as a way of appreciating the excellent job the developers have done with the software. One thing I really value is that I don't have to adjust any settings before using it. I simply upload my content and let the software hand le the corrections.

Cons

That said, Grammarly Business doesn't get every edit or suggestion right all the time. There are moments when it recommends adding a comma where I don't think one is needed. I also feel free users should have at least some access to the plagiarism feature even if it's limited to a certain number of checks per account. Aside from that, Grammarly Business is still an excellent tool for correcting my writing.

“A lifesaver”

Pros

Right away, Grammarly fits well into the tools many people already use, including major web browsers, Microsoft Office and its own Windows app. The free plan hand les typos well and even gives a glimpse into writing issues that only Premium subscribers can actually correct. It also lets non-paying users see a wider range of synonyms for individual words and swap them in without much effort. On the team side, Grammarly Business brings the full Premium toolkit to everyone, with suggestions and corrections tied to correctness, clarity, engagement and delivery across a piece of writing.

Cons

Once the writing gets more complex though, Grammarly Premium and the Business version don't quite deliver as much as the hype suggests. That's not entirely a flaw in Grammarly itself so much as a reminder that automated grammar and translation tools are useful but still nowhere near perfect. There is at least the option to send text to human proofreaders although that comes at an added cost.

“Great software”

Pros

Working on executive summaries means I have to turn financial data into short, readable insights and Grammarly really helps with that. It helps me write more clearly and concisely, with word choice and tone suggestions that make the financial story easier for the reader to follow. Since it works as an add-on in Chrome and across my Microsoft apps, it's really convenient to use in a wide range of software.

Cons

Can be a bit slow and sometimes takes time to load. It doesn't respond as instantly as the built-in spell checker in Microsoft applications.

Pros

Whether you're writing for work or any other field, grammar and punctuation mistakes can make you seem careless or even change the meaning of what you're trying to say. Grammarly is very simple to use, catches those errors almost instantly and also tells you why they need to be corrected.

Cons

One thing I did notice was that Grammarly could be a bit slow to load at times. After I had already finished writing and reviewed everything myself, I usually just wanted to wrap it up sothe delayed startup was frustrating. Every now and then it would also freeze for a moment. Other than that, it performed well and part of the issue may have been due to my computer.

Pros

Fixing errors is pretty simple. A single click can correct a spelling mistake or grammar issue and the red underlines make it obvious where problems are so you can review your writing and clean up each one. It also has some fun touches, like emojis that reflect the tone your writing is giving off. Another feature I appreciate is being able to add frequently used terms, company jargon or uncommon words to a personal dictionary so they stop getting flagged every time. Also, it tracks your writing over time and gives useful feedback on how you're doing and what you could improve. If the suggestions ever get in the way, you can also turn Grammarly off on specific websites.

Cons

Now and then, it does act a little buggy and leaves pop-up windows sitting right where you're trying to type whichcan be annoying. Some of the correction suggestions are also off and if you accept them, the sentence can end up sounding awkward. For example, in the bullet above, it suggested changing my wording to "...leave the pop-up windows..." It also wanted to change "pop up" to "pop-up" in one sentence but didn't flag it the same way in the previous one sothe inconsistency can be frustrating.

Pros

Having Grammarly available in MS Word, Outlook and Google Chrome is really useful because it helps keep writing quality consistent wherever I'm working. It also comes in several formats, including web, plugin and desktop versions whichmakes it even more convenient to use. The platform is fairly simple to navigate and it edits documents based on preset language preferences. There's also the option to choose from different English dialects depending on the audience you want to reach and that makes a big difference in improving clarity and overall understand ing. Another reason I enjoy using Grammarly is its AI tools whichautomatically flag grammar issues and sentence structure mistakes.

Cons

It isn't completely dependable all the time because some of its suggestions can be unnecessary and may even change the intended meaning of the text. Because of that, users need to review the recommended edits carefully before accepting them so the original context is not affected.

Pros

From the moment I installed Grammarly, it started helping without me needing to click or set up anything. It just worked whenever I had to write. As an internet marketer, I write a lot of emails every day and I used to constantly worry about spelling. Grammarly took care of that right away but it also showed me that grammar was a bigger issue than I realized. Before using it, I honestly thought spelling was my only problem. After installing it, I went back and looked at some of my older emails and was surprised by how many grammar mistakes I had been making. Now I write my emails with much more confidence because Grammarly instantly points out both spelling and grammar errors. It underlines the parts that are wrong and when I hover over them, it shows the correct version. Then I just click and the sentence is fixed. I absolutely love it.

Cons

I have nothing negative to say about it. If I tried to come up with a complaint, it wouldn't be truthful. I'd actually be surprised to hear someone had something bad to say about it.

Pros

At its core, this tool does something very simple: it checks your grammar while you write. I work with teammates based all over the world and since English is often not their first language, communication can sometimes be harder than it should be even when everyone is fairly fluent. Since we started using Grammarly, sending emails and preparing presentations has become much more reliable and we no longer need to ask native-speaking colleagues to review every important message. A big plus is the feedback it gives becauseit actually explains why something is incorrect instead of just flagging it. I also appreciate being able to adjust the goals based on the audience and context. The features I use the most are the alerts for correctness, clarity and engagement whichreally help improve the final text.

Cons

Havent run into any major problems with the tool. If I had to point out one downside, it would be the price of the business plans. When budgets are tight, it can be difficult to persuade other managers that a dedicated grammar-checking tool is worth paying for especially when they already have something like Microsoft Word available.

Pros

While I'm typing this review, Grammarly is already running quietly in the background, checking my grammar and helping make my writing as strong as possible. Even strong writers slip up sometimes whichis exactly why spell check exists in the first place. Grammarly goes well beyond that by not only catching misspelled words but also suggesting better phrasing so sentences are clearer and make more sense to the reader. Another feature I really appreciate is the tone analysis whichhelps identify whether my message comes across as professional, friendly or something else. Since people spend so much time drafting and re-reading what they write, this tool saves a lot of time while also improving accuracy. One of the biggest advantages is that it works in the background across my web browser and apps like Microsoft Word.

Cons

Honestly I haven't run into any downsides with this software. The suggestions are usually very accurate and overall it has been an extremely helpful tool.

“Had a positive experience”

Pros

Grammarly has helped make my writing much more error-free. A few years back, before I started using this amazing tool, I always needed someone else to review my emails before I sent them to clients just to make sure everything was correct. Now I don't have to rely on others to double-check my writing.

Cons

It is still one of my favorite tools but it does have a few downsides. The first issue is that it can be quite slow and sometimes it takes a few seconds to respond. Another problem is that it occasionally marks correctly written words as mistakes and even changes them automatically. Fixing these issues would make it one of the best tools on the market.

“So convenient to use”

Pros

One thing that really works well with Grammarly is how unobtrusive it feels while I'm writing. It does a strong job of understand ing different grammatical structures sothe suggestions are usually very accurate. I've been especially impressed with how well it catches issues in my writing and it has been genuinely helpful for spotting mistakes I might have missed. Since I don't always have a copyeditor available, it gives me extra confidence and peace of mind.

Cons

Every now and then, the Grammarly icon ends up getting in the way of something on the screen. It's pretty rare but there have been a few times when it blocked a submit but ton or something similar soI had to find a workaround. Aside from that, I really don't have any complaints.

Beyond catching the obvious typos, Grammarly also does an excellent job spotting awkward word choices and grammar mistakes.

Cons

The tool doesn't offer the same functionality across Google Docs tools especially in apps like Google Sheets. If your team collaborates heavily in Google Workspace, that missing support can be disappointing even if it's not enough to stop using the software.

“Amazing”

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how simple the interface is and how it keeps working quietly in the background no matter which online platform I'm typing on. It flags grammar issues, syntax problems and incorrect tense usage as you write. Also, it often suggests stronger word choices and better sentence structure. It's especially useful for quickly polishing emails and business letters and it catches spelling errors right away.

Cons

There are times when it doesn't hand le colloquialisms very well whichis fairly typical for online editing tools especially when writing about niche products or using less common sentence patterns. I also wasn't a fan of the double-click dropdown for correcting misspelled words because it often failed to register the option I selected.

Pros

What I really appreciate is that it works quietly in the background and fixes issues while I'm writing. It's very useful for catching mistakes that would have easily slipped past me otherwise. I also like that they keep expand ing what the tool works with soyou can kind of get the best of both worlds. A good example is the Google Docs integration, where you can use Google's built-in spelling and grammar checks alongside Grammarly at the same time. That combination feels like a real bonus.

Cons

it is not something that will instantly turn you into a stronger writer. A lot of the advertising makes it sound like it will improve your wording and automatically make everything sound polished and professional. In reality, it does a good job catching spelling mistakes and flagging words that should be hyphenated especially ones people often skip in everyday writing. but it won't automatically make your emails more engaging or give them a truly professional tone on its own. Even with Grammarly Business, you still need to approach your writing with a professional mindset instead of depending entirely on the app.

“easy to use”

Pros

It's really useful for catching grammar and spelling mistakes I might otherwise miss especially when I'm transcribing or editing. Incorrect spelling and grammar get clearly underlined whichmakes the errors stand out right away and it also gives helpful suggestions for fixing them.

Cons

Only downside is that when it's installed in the browser, I sometimes have to switch Grammarly on or off manually. That's a small thing but it can be pretty easy to forget.

Pros

After using Grammarly for more than two years, I've genuinely noticed a big improvement in my writing skills because of it. It's a really helpful tool for writing content and hand ling other writing tasks with fewer grammar mistakes. The spell-checking system works very well, catching errors quickly and offering useful suggestions to fix them. It also integrates nicely with Microsoft Office soI can keep working without needing to open the Grammarly desktop app separately. The Chrome extension performs well during online tasks too especially when I'm writing emails. Also, the Grammarly mobile keyboard is impressive and helps me type much more accurately and confidently.

Cons

At times, the Word plug-in feels laggy and doesn't function properly in Microsoft Word soI hope that gets fixed soon. The premium subscription is also quite expensive. There are moments when Grammarly suggests alternatives even when the original sentence is already correct and those constant underlines can get annoying. Another drawback is that it always requires an internet connection to work sohaving an offline mode in the future would make the overall experience much better.

Pros

Our team would take a real hit in productivity if we ever stopped using Grammarly. It helps everyone put together written communication faster and with much better accuracy when it comes to spelling, punctuation and grammar. While I was typing this, Grammarly actually caught four mistakes and I fixed each one with just a couple of clicks. That's the real benefit: people can concentrate on what they want to say, while Grammarly takes care of cleaning up the technical side of the writing. It also works in just about any app where writing is involved and getting it set up and rolled out was very simple.

Cons

A small limitation is that it isn't always aware of the full context sonow and then it flags things that may technically be issues but don't really matter for the kind of document being written. That said, it's a very minor drawback and it hasn't affected how useful or effective the software is for us.
