Great for self-editing

Pros

Something this software does really well is build self-editing skills while highlighting writing mistakes that can be hard to catch on your own.

Cons

It didn't really account for different writing styles which felt like a noticeable limitation.

awesome !!

Pros

As a professor, this software has been a big help in my daily work. It makes it much easier to catch and spot my mistakes and even when I misspell a word, it automatically suggests the right correction. Because of that, I get through my writing faster and save time since I don't have to reread every text as much before checking it.

Cons

At times, it tends to overcorrect certain words which can change the meaning and leave the sentence with the wrong context.

spell check works well

Pros

What has been useful is the spell check feature especially how it corrects spelling mistakes right away.

Cons

The bubbles often get in the way of the text and some of the suggestions are wrong. Even after I correct them, the program sometimes goes back to suggesting my original wording the next time I type. The weekly performance reports also feel like too much information since I don't really need updates on how well I'm doing each week.

Best one out there

Pros

Out of everything I've tried, this product has been the best by far. My work depends on flawless writing and grammar and for more than a year it has helped me maintain a professional standard consistently.

Cons

Honestly I haven't come across any downsides with this product. I'm completely satisfied with how this tool performs.

simple and spot on

Pros

After trying quite a few grammar checker tools over the years, Grammarly still sits near the top of my list. The suggestions are really useful and the interface feels friendly and approachable. It's one of those tools that becomes more valuable the more you use it and it does a solid job not just with grammar but also with improving how your message comes across.

Cons

My only real complaint with Grammarly is the cost. I really wish there were a plan closer to $12-15 per month because the current pricing feels a bit too expensive for me.

great for me

Pros

From class assignments to professional writing, Grammarly has been a valuable tool for me in both settings. The style checker is especially useful because it gives guided suggestions while still letting the writer decide what to change. I also rely a lot on the punctuation checker since it catches mistakes I often miss and adds comments that help me improve the overall quality of my work. The grammar checker, together with Grammarly's other writing features, makes the whole process feel much more manageable because it is accurate, simple to use and helps all kinds of writers quickly spot and fix errors. One of my favorite parts is how it helps me pay attention to sentence construction, whether something makes sense sounds too wordy or feels incomplete, while also offering alternative phrasing and sentence structures. That makes writing much less stressful and because Grammarly is always just a click away, it fits naturally into my daily routine.

Cons

One issue I have noticed is that Grammarly struggles to properly recognize South African English writing style. That said since the changes are only suggestions, I can simply ignore the ones that do not fit.

Polished writing

Pros

Something I really appreciate is how much it improves my writing and makes it come across as more polished and professional overall.

Cons

At the moment, I can use it because my organization covers the cost but I'm not sure I'd keep using it on my own if the price ends up being too high.

Fantastic results

Pros

Getting started feels natural since you can just begin typing and it starts correcting mistakes right away so there is basically no learning curve. It also helps you stay creative because it does not simply copy someone else's wording but gives you language from a different perspective instead. Another big plus is how well it connects with many other apps, letting it catch and fix errors while you type instead of having to check everything directly inside Grammarly.

Cons

Grammarly does miss the mark from time to time because at the end of the day, it is still a program and not an actual person. It is important to apply your own judgment and human touch to make sure the suggested correction really fits your writing. One limitation is that the Grammar Check Tool does not fix mistakes in online text entry fields such as LinkedIn.

my writing companion

Pros

The tool includes a wide range of features for reviewing text, such as grammar checks, punctuation checks, a dictionary and thesaurus and most importantly for business professionals, a plagiarism checker. It's simple to use, clear to understand and helpful when analyzing writing. It has personally helped me a lot especially with improving my vocabulary. Grammarly is the best tool and I would definitely recommend others to try it and see how convenient it is.

Cons

No major downsides to Grammarly.

i use it daily

Pros

Grammarly has been a really valuable tool for both business use and writing in general. It's reliable when it comes to spelling and syntax corrections and it helps clean up sentence structure so documents come out polished and error-free. It works consistently across most browsers for both PC and Mac which makes it convenient to use anywhere. The auto-suggest feature has also been impressive especially the way it helps with proper syntax. Even though the Premium plan includes some tools I don't use all the time, it still offers a lot of useful features that get used daily. Whenever I check my documents with the premium version, Grammarly usually gives extra suggestions that improve my writing. The pricing also feels fairly reasonable for what it offers.

Cons

There are times when the program tries to change names or specific words that were written that way on purpose. It also occasionally flags wording and offers replacement suggestions that just don't fit the sentence at all. When that happens, I end up either correcting it myself or simply ignoring the recommendation.

a great choice!

Pros

Having the plagiarism checker, grammar checker, spelling checker, word suggestions and the document score all in one package makes Grammarly really useful. Those features work together to help users write more clearly and improve the overall quality of their work. It also keeps people aware of the mistakes they are making. Also, the audience-setting feature helps users adjust their tone and write more appropriately for who will read it. The sentence rephrasing feature is also a big time-saver because it helps rewrite lines without making the user struggle to rephrase everything manually.

Cons

One downside is that some corrections get too technical especially depending on a student's course or subject. For instance, certain scientific terms get flagged or changed and some suggested replacement words can feel inappropriate at times.

Instant corrections

Pros

Out of all the Grammarly Business features, the one that stands out most is how quickly it catches and fixes mistakes right away. That instant feedback gives me a lot more confidence whenever I'm writing content, no matter the time or situation.

Cons

To be honest, it has been a really reliable tool for us for more than two years and I can confidently say I haven't run into any problems with it up to this point. If anything ever comes up later though, I definitely won't keep quiet about it.

Works across platforms

Pros

The best thing about Grammarly is that the free version is available and still quite usable across different platforms. It works on both Windows and Mac which makes it convenient to use on an assortment of devices. The plagiarism checker is also a valuable feature and the feedback it gives is detailed and extensive. I also appreciate that there are options tailored for businesses and schools, plus a professional writing service for users who need extra support.

Cons

There are still a few limitations to keep in mind. The free version is fairly restricted and only checks basic spelling and grammar errors. It also doesn't work offline and it can't really be compared to a human editor. Another downside is that there is no free trial for Grammarly Premium, while the Google Docs integration is still in beta. Also, the website does not resize very well in split-screen view and the marketing can feel overly aggressive when pushing users to upgrade to PREMIUM.

Smart suggestions

Pros

Grammarly is an excellent choice for anyone trying to improve their writing and it's especially useful for teams that need every ad copy to come out polished and error-free. One thing I enjoy most is how well it improves sentence structure when I'm writing on the web even more than when I'm using regular software for assignments haha. It also includes a tone detection feature which has been really helpful when I'm putting together emails and similar messages.

Cons

The only downside is that you have to pay for the premium version to unlock the more advanced tools but that's pretty standard with most software anyway. Even with that, I'd definitely recommend it.

saves my time

Pros

One thing that really helped was how Grammarly pointed out possible mistakes in my writing. Being able to clearly see where corrections were needed made a big difference and the suggestions it gave were genuinely useful.

Cons

At times, it does take a while to load especially when the internet connection is slow. Even with that delay, I still think Grammarly is an excellent proofreading tool and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to improve their writing skills.

like having a writing tutor

Pros

It doesn't just correct my mistakes, it also helps me remember the rules behind them. It feels a lot like having a personal tutor.

Cons

I do wish there were a few more features available for free. Still, to be honest, I already really like what's included at no cost.

Loved it

Pros

Grammarly has been a really useful writing assistant for me. It proofreads with strong accuracy and also helps me figure out the right tone for whatever I'm trying to say. Another thing I appreciate is how it lets me set writing goals based on my audience and the kind of wording I want to use. It comes in handy when I'm working on blog posts, emails or even content for social media and websites. It improves my writing by catching misspellings and also helps me avoid plagiarism.

Cons

One downside is that it can lag when I'm editing large sections of text and it's only available in English. There are also times when it suggests the wrong spelling so I still make sure to proofread everything myself to confirm the writing is actually correct.

incredible results

Pros

This software comes with a simple application that connects well with email and other text fields. It works as a grammar checker, proofreader and plagiarism checker all in one which really helps content teams, media professionals and writers put together blogs, articles and everyday sentences with less effort.

Cons

Something still missing is more smooth integration across a wider range of platforms and adding AI-powered word suggestions would be a valuable improvement in future updates.

trusted writing companion

Pros

Using Grammarly feels very natural because it's so user-friendly. It's like having a dependable friend nearby, always ready to help whenever I need it. That gives me real peace of mind, knowing the content and planning materials I share publicly are consistently polished and up to standard.

Cons

The only real issue is that it's currently available only in English. I really hope the platform expands to support more languages in the future. As an ESL tutor and a native English speaker, I would have loved to recommend Grammarly as a resource for my students as well.

Less hassle

Pros

Checking and correcting my writing feels very hassle-free with this tool and the corrections it provides are highly reliable.

Cons

At times, it is not clear whether my text has actually been checked or not,for example, when I am writing in a browser page, a text editor like Word or a notes/post-it app, I'm unsure if Grammarly is working on the text.
