improved writeups

Pros

Honestly this has been a real game changer for me. Beyond fixing text, spelling and grammar, it has also helped improve my English communication skills. The interface is simple to use and it has been incredibly helpful for report writing, documentation and assignments. Its accuracy gives me much more confidence in my writing which I never really got from other software before. Many thanks to Grammarly!

Cons

There really is not much to complain about, other than it being a cloud-based system. Aside from that, it is genuinely a very good piece of software.

all in one

Pros

Compared with a writing program like Microsoft Word, it catches more problems and really helps beginner writers build stronger writing and editing skills.

Cons

At the same time, it flags plenty of "issues" that aren't actually problems which can get distracting and frustrating. The pricing also feels higher than it should be unless you join during a promotion.

quick set up

Pros

It works right inside email, grant-writing tasks and presentations like PowerPoint which makes it useful across just about everything I need to write.

Cons

I really don't have any features I dislike and it's very simple to use. The only minor issue came up on my older laptop, where it took longer to load and sometimes Grammarly would clash with Word and give conflicting suggestions.

has good database

Pros

Whenever I have to draft long emails or articles, Grammarly helps me write without constantly worrying about mistakes. It catches grammar issues and punctuation errors really well and proofreading becomes especially helpful when I need to send a lot of emails in a short amount of time.

Cons

At times, it can be a bit slow and it doesn't work perfectly every single time. Even after using the app, you can still spot quite a few mistakes that it misses.

decent tool

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how well it catches grammar mistakes and offers different word choices that make my writing sound better. The browser extension is also very useful since it works on websites with built-in text editors so I can fix grammar directly there instead of copying and pasting everything into the app.

Cons

Most of the corrections are useful and grammatically correct but there are times when a suggested change makes the sentence less clear. Another downside is that the score calculator does not seem very reliable because the score can still climb close to 95 even when all of the suggestions are ignored which does not feel accurate.

impressed with it

Pros

Getting started with it was simple, deployment was quick and it saves me a lot of time during the writing process. I also appreciate how it catches spelling mistakes on the fly while I'm working.

Cons

Something I've noticed is that it sometimes suggests the exact wording I was already trying to use as an alternative to what I wrote. It's not really a complaint though,it may just mean I need to adjust my writing style a little.

excellent real-time mobile writing help

Pros

Something that really stands out is how well Grammarly works directly from the keyboard on most mobile operating systems. That means whenever you type something, it can instantly access your text in real time and suggest the most suitable corrections or wording for your writing. It feels very convenient and helpful while writing on the go.

Cons

At the same time even good tools come with downsides. Grammarly is so simple and convenient to use that it can make people rely on it too much. The biggest issue is that many of us naturally look for shortcuts and this app can encourage that habit. Because of that, people may practice less and gradually lose some of their own writing ability. Grammarly has clearly changed the way we communicate in formal situations but that also raises a concern that over time we may forget how to write letters properly, handle both formal and informal writing on our own and slowly drift away from parts of our cultural practices and human creativity.

so convenient

Pros

Between the grammar review, punctuation checks, thesaurus and text consistency tools, the range of features for writing correctly and effectively is enormous.

Cons

I really don't have any issues to mention. The software does exactly what it promises and fits my needs perfectly.

works well

Pros

As a non-native English speaker, Grammarly has been a big help in making my writing sound more professional. It really improves the flow of my correspondence and helps everything read better. I also appreciate how convenient it is to either upload a document or just copy and paste text into Grammarly for review.

Cons

One thing that bothers me is the cost of the proofreader feature since it feels very expensive. In some cases, hiring a freelancer is actually cheaper especially when some offer a flat rate of 149. I also had problems with the Grammarly version for Word because it kept crashing so I ended up uninstalling it and using only the online version instead.

i like it

Pros

Whenever I'm proofreading articles, Grammarly is one of the tools I reach for first because it's genuinely useful and convenient. It helps me catch more than just spelling mistakes and awkward phrases,it also checks grammar thoroughly which helps me avoid unnecessary errors in my writing. One feature I really appreciate is the sentence analysis, where it scores the article and points out areas that need improvement while suggesting better words or alternative sentence choices. I also use Grammarly for plagiarism checks which helps me keep my content original and maintain a solid readability score. Also, I've connected it with Google Chrome and Google Docs and those integrations make my writing workflow much more convenient and efficient.

Cons

At this point, I really haven't come across any major downside to using this software. My only suggestion would be to make the pricing a bit more affordable for business owners especially startups. It would be helpful if there were a program or special package for startups that could support them for a longer period before they fully transition into paying customers. I'd also love to see a few more business-friendly features for free users, such as plagiarism or paraphrasing tools with a limited word count. That kind of addition would make the software even more appealing to me.

you can trust it

Pros

Over the last couple of years, this has been a really helpful tool for catching grammar mistakes, checking the tone of my writing and making content much clearer. It's especially useful when I'm proofreading transcripts and research write-ups. The interface is simple to use and the style feature is one of the parts I appreciate most. After using it for nearly two years, it has worked well for me overall.

Cons

One issue I run into at times is that the free version doesn't always apply a correction even after I click on the section that needs fixing. It can also struggle with documents that include tables or more complex formatting. Also, the premium plan feels somewhat expensive. Another downside is that it won't work offline so you have to be connected to the internet.

daily typo catcher i rely on

Pros

Out of all the tools I use, this has become one of my favorites and definitely one of the most essential. I depend on Grammar every day to catch typos and I really appreciate the direction it's taking with suggestions for passive sentences and other ways to make communication clearer.

Cons

There are times when rephrasing a paragraph actually introduces even more typos which is really frustrating. That definitely needs to be fixed because I can't have words accidentally joined together or extra commas added to a document I'm trying to correct. Creating new mistakes defeats the whole purpose.

overpriced upgrade

Pros

It covers the basics for proofreading and if there's nothing else available, the free version is worth using. It still does a better job than Microsoft Editor.

Cons

The paid version feels too expensive especially since Microsoft Editor comes with Microsoft 365. Also, WordTune is a better option overall.

consistent throughout

Pros

Across email social media and everyday team communication, Grammarly has been really simple to use and helps us keep everything polished and professional. Not everyone has strong grammar all the time so mistakes are bound to happen but Grammarly catches them right away and flags issues as you type. The autocorrect suggestions are simple too which makes fixing errors quick and convenient.

Cons

Honestly I haven't run into any problems with Grammarly. I feel the pricing is justified because it saves me from having to spend nearly as much time proofreading my employees' messages, emails and posts.

helps me daily

Pros

Since English isn't my first language, using the right grammar and wording is really important for clear communication. Without that, it's very easy to create misunderstandings or even serious conflict. Google Translate and similar tools can fix some errors too but getting corrections as I type is a much better option. Also, this tool doesn't just catch mistakes like others do,it also recommends ways to improve the text and make it more effective and meaningful. Another big plus is that it comes with very good apps for iOS and other platforms.

Cons

Pricing plans are my biggest concern. It's only available on a monthly basis and there's no discounted option for paying yearly. Also, the price is the same in every country. While 12 dollars may be reasonable in the US or Europe, it feels expensive in many other parts of the world. Like Netflix or Spotify, it would make much more sense to offer special pricing for lower-income countries.
