Fulfills our Accounting Needs and More!

Pros

We utilize most of the accounting functions and can access information through various report options, manage job costs via the payroll module, and are planning to implement the project management module.

Cons

Some of the payroll functions for 401k are somewhat limited, but with the help of tech support, I managed to find a workaround. The report writer is quite complex.

Accubuild rocks

Pros

Work-in-progress (WIP) reports and purchasing inventory logs are essential tools we rely on for effectively tracking and managing our ongoing projects. These reports provide detailed insights into the current status of each project, allowing us to monitor progress and costs accurately. Also, the purchasing inventory logs help us keep a precise record of all materials and supplies, ensuring we maintain adequate stock levels and streamline our procurement process.

Cons

I'd like more detail on the report , it would be easier to access the breakdown for reports.

Very user friendly software

Pros

From the accounting perspective, the software is simple to use and the reports are easy to understand. Managing requisitions and invoices is simple. The check printing features are also user-friendly. We hope to use the software for the project management aspect of our construction company.

Cons

I'm trying to adjust one of our reports so it excludes the change orders that don't affect the budget but do increase the project's cost from the estimated cost column.

I liked it so much after ten years, I migrated to it at a subsequent company!

Pros

The software is easy to navigate and train other staff members on.

Cons

Regarding the Report Writing software. I've used tools that produce easier outcomes. AccuBuild offers a powerful tool with their MAR data views, which allows me to export and sort through information relevant to my search.

Happy Customer

Pros

We love the reports and details we can run. It's also useful to have our worker's comp codes easily separated. Certified Payroll is now smooth!

Cons

Our work week runs from Wednesday through Tuesday, but the time tracking system only accommodates a Sunday-Saturday week, which can be confusing.

Powerful, affordable and customizable to fit your business needs. A hidden gem!

Pros

Importing SOV from Excel and auto-generating Subcontractor Payment Sheets (automatically creating payables against completion percentages) is a massive timesaver, significantly reducing manual entry and resulting in fewer errors.

Cons

AccuBuild has a wealth of tools and integrations that businesses can benefit from, but finding the time to learn and implement them is a challenge.

Accubuild

Pros

The software is relatively simple to use, both for transactions and generating reports.

Cons

The software doesn't have anything flashy about it. It looks and feels outdated, and data analysis can be a bit cumbersome. There are graphs and charts on the "home" screen that provide metrics, but their customization options are limited.

Accubuild is Great!

Pros

The simplicity of the system. Very easy to learn. They provide many hours of free training with the sale, so if you have questions, they are there with an answer.

Cons

It's hard to pinpoint a least favorite aspect. We use blank check stock with several banks, and AccuBuild initially didn't accommodate this. However, they quickly provided a solution.

ACCUBUILD

Pros

The ease of use and the support that is available when needed.

Cons

After some updates, certain functions have become more difficult, and it's not clear how to fix issues like correcting Certified Payroll Reports if changes are needed after payroll is posted. It's now harder than before.

Accubuild For Construction

Pros

The best feature AccuBuild offers is the ability to pull detailed data into Excel, allowing us to create custom pivot tables or reports in various ways.

Cons

I dislike the direct deposit setup . you can't create a manual check without deactivating the direct deposit in the employee's setup. You must reactivate it after the payroll check is complete.

Software Review

Pros

I have been using this software for 14 years. For the most part, it is quite simple. There are some things I need help with, like customizing reports.

Cons

I find the project management portion difficult to use. I'm also not happy with the support anymore. It used to be that when I called, my questions or problems were resolved quickly. Now, it's hard to get a callback, and when they do get back to me, it's often hard to understand them.

I find Accubuild relatively easy to learn and use.

Pros

I like the document routing section the best. It's easy to attach documents and code them with the correct phase and GL codes. It's convenient and easy to teach all the approval users how to look at their invoices for approval.

Cons

I wish there was a search button in the documents tab in the vendors list. Some vendors have a lot of documents, and it's hard to find the one I need when scrolling through hundreds of documents.

They are a decent software company and user friendly

Pros

This is the industry standard for construction management. Most commonly used in most General contracting companies and about 80% of all commercial companies.

Cons

It's not easy to navigate if it's your first time. After using and adapting to the shortcuts, it becomes more familiar.
