“Packed with useful features
Pros
I'm finding it very easy to use and it includes many features we use every day.
Cons
I wish the same fields appeared in both areas of the application and I'd like the files area broken into visibility-based sections.

“all in one solution for construction industry
Pros
I like that it's an all-in-one platform where clients can view daily logs, photos and the schedule. Recent updates added 360-degree images and allow more photos in each daily log.
Cons
The redesigned notification settings feel like a step backward and don't work as well as they used to. On top of that, the limited file upload size makes adding documents slower than using services like Dropbox or Google Drive with their desktop apps which handle larger uploads more smoothly.

“Lets me monitor, revise and adjust the project timeline
Pros
Being able to monitor, revise and adjust the project timeline is something I really appreciate. The features for detailing product choices and keeping the owner's selections up to date also work well for me.
Cons
I haven't tried the purchase order feature yet so I can't speak to how it performs.

“Monitors project status
Pros
Working as a vendor alongside a builder who uses this platform, we appreciate being able to track which phase each home is in. It lets us know exactly when we can schedule site visits to take measurements for jobs.
Cons
Interface is pretty basic which sometimes makes it a bit difficult to move around and find what I need.

“ability to generate invoices and issue change orders
Pros
Tracking time is helpful but what really matters for me is being able to generate invoices and issue change orders quickly since those tasks are essential to my day-to-day work.
Cons
I find it a little inconvenient to jump back and forth between the specifications. Options when creating or editing change orders which slows me down.

“simple to share information
Pros
I enjoy how easy it is to share information. Everything I need for a job is neatly organized in one central place.
Cons
Being new to it, I can't point to anything I dislike at the moment after using it for a short while.

“customer service stands out
Pros
I've never had customer support this good in my life, it's hands-down the best I've seen. The core software I've used so far is outstanding and incredibly capable. What I like most is the GPS time-clock feature.
Cons
My main issue is the price and I also find it frustrating that the platform doesn't manage taxes at all for proposals, estimates or invoices.

“Difficult to deploy
Pros
We received top-notch customer support and I found the software's project-management functionality to be quite capable.
Cons
What caused problems for my team was how hard it was to deploy and get everyone in the company to adopt it. Overall I thought the Sales/CRM side felt pretty inflexible. It can handle most things but for some of our teams the way they work didn't fit well with what the software offered. There are far more flexible, customizable platforms out there on the market, for example D365.

“Inefficient program
Pros
The Project Management module seems to do its job but the overall program is pointless if it isn't efficient from end to end.
Cons
I find estimating and generating change variations absolutely a nightmare to deal with.

“allows real-time communication
Pros
We use it's features so all departments can collaborate with clear visibility into every part of each job. From tracking sales leads through to job closeout, the CRM has given our on-site managers a way to communicate in real time and avoid having to manually document in spreadsheets or on paper every single phase of a project.
Cons
I've not really run into any major shortcomings so far but there was one occasion when I struggled to find a specific comment in a daily log, the search made locating that entry unexpectedly difficult. We've only been using the system for a few months so it's possible more issues could surface over time.

I'm able to customize almost every aspect of the platform and I find coordinating subcontractors really simple.
Cons
Because there are so many customization options, I sometimes struggle to know the optimal way to use its features.

“Works well across platforms
Pros
It offers a ton of features, works across platforms and is excellent for checking dashboard views while I'm on the go.
Cons
It is complicated in the beginning, I spent a lot of time learning the project management side and had to make sure every contractor was properly linked.

“effective cRM for general building contracting
Pros
I find it to be a great CRM for general building contracting.
Cons
Because the company is based in Canada, I sometimes run into tricky tax calculations when syncing with QuickBooks, although I can usually resolve them on the back end.

“Fields automatically fill
Pros
Absolutely love that fields automatically fill across pages within the same project. Having used NextGear before, I can tell you it was a nightmare with all the manual copying and pasting required!
Cons
Some days I'm kicked off the app unexpectedly. We have excellent Wi-Fi here so that's not the cause and I keep getting that annoying 'D'OH something went wrong' error page. I also want to stress how much the Trade Partners tab needs a search bar, without one it's hard to find contacts. Additionally, the Trade Partners section on mobile is glitchy and my subs often see blank pages when they try to pull up information.

“Helps me manage my company
Pros
My entire construction company can be managed through it, from handling daily client communication to tracking job costs so I'm fully covered.
Cons
I don't find a lot of real drawbacks. The main issue I face is a fairly steep learning curve which makes sense given how many features are packed into the platform.

“visually unappealing interface
Pros
I find the CRM reliable for keeping our information saved and I find scheduling appointments pretty simple. On top of that, the software lets me attach PDFs directly to records which is a feature my company really depends on.
Cons
My experience with the interface and dashboard has been that they feel very plain and cluttered rather than neatly organized. For instance, digging through our records to find specific entries or exporting leads into a spreadsheet becomes needlessly time-consuming. When it comes to collaboration, I wish there were an option for live, in-app communication so teammates could interact in real time.

“Useful project management features
Pros
We rely on nearly all of the project management features for our business and overall it performs really well.

“Feature-rich platform
Pros
After years spent in the "Big Builder" production arena, I find this to be a deep, feature-rich platform that fits the Custom Home building niche exceptionally well. From my experience, it measures up to and in some areas even surpasses the software used by many of the largest national builders across the US.
Cons
It's not really a drawback but something I feel is important to mention. You have to be prepared to dedicate a fair amount of time to the initial set up. A significant volume of information must be entered up front and how smoothly the platform runs for my company depends heavily on the effort and time I put into setting it up properly at the start. If you rush this phase you'll notice issues later so patience at the beginning pays off.
