Boasts impressive TAKEOFF features and customerfacing functionalities.

BuilderTrend falls short as true estimating software despite being marketed as such. It lacks labor units and the supposedly free trial turns out not to be entirely free. Extensive training and setup are necessary making it essential to quickly learn the software to offset its costs. Monthly charges persist even during periods of nonuse leading to the suggestion that onsite software with onsite training might be a more costeffective solution.

I find the platform efficient and organized handling everything from tracking costs and supplies to scheduling personnel and client communication.

I would appreciate even more flexibility to customize specific aspects of the platform to better suit the unique needs of my company and projects.

The challenge my team faced with BT was the complexity of deployment and the struggle for companywide adoption. While the software excelled in most aspects it seemed inflexible on the SalesCRM side. BT is capable in many areas but for some teams its processes did not align well with the software's capabilities. More flexible and customizable alternatives such as D365 are available in the market.

The interface is really user-friendly for both our team and customers. Getting help from support is super simple whenever we have questions.

Takes extra clicks for some tasks and there's no way to filter by cost codes in tables which can be frustrating.

It's great how everything gets consolidated into a single location, no more hunting through different systems. The financial side is really simple and well organized which makes tracking budgets much easier. Homeowners can access all their project details from one dashboard and managing RFIs has become so much simpler. It really helps keep subcontractors accountable and on schedule.

Cons

Frequent updates can be disruptive. Since we're a custom home builder, the selections tab doesn't work for us. We don't have standard selections for every project so auto-population isn't helpful. The printing functionality is terrible and when editing fails in Excel or Word, you lose everything you've worked on.

It is an all in one solution where client communication, employee coordination and financial tracking all happen in one spot which makes my workflow so much smoother.

Cons

Learning this system has been hard and can be pretty frustrating at first. While the training videos they provide are definitely helpful, it's not one of those user-friendly applications where you can just click the obvious option and get it right. This requires more involvement and thinking through your choices.

I've tested several other CRMs and none match this level of interactivity or visual organization. The mobile app experience is fantastic as well.

The accounting team really misses some features that were removed, they know better than anyone what functionality we lost.

Pros

Everything runs on a single platform for project management. The templates are a lifesaver, I use them constantly and they organize my workflow significantly. What's great is the smooth handoff capability. When I leave something unfinished, my colleagues can jump right in without any confusion or delays.

Cons

The builder trend section could use some minor formatting tweaks to make it more user-friendly. I wish I could resize the description text box so I can view more content at once instead of having to scroll constantly.
