Pros

This software can handle a lot of tasks that other applications simply can't touch. While there are still a handful of options I'd like to tweak here and there, it consistently provides me with all the data I need and often even more useful details than I expected.

Cons

There are times when I put quite a lot of effort into shaping a layout exactly how I want it, only to have a single wrong click wipe out all that work. I would really appreciate if the program did less automatic adjusting and resetting for example insisting less on 'best-fit' changes because it interrupts my workflow.

Pros

I've been using this software for over 4 years now and being able to send plans from my iPad to my PC is fantastic. The precision in every drawing really helps me when I'm quoting, estimating and carrying out installations.

Cons

With smaller drawings I notice they can quickly become cluttered with measurements and the cut sheet layout often feels disorganized and hectic. I would really like the option to overlay cut sheets for sheet products directly onto the floor plan as an update.

As someone new to this kind of software, I found it really simple to pick up even without prior experience. After I invested time exploring it, I discovered a wide range of features that genuinely enhance my workflow. My clients also praise how professional the takeoffs and accompanying quotes appear.

I can struggle sometimes when the problem is very specific because troubleshooting certain tasks isn't convenient. For instance, when I'm trying to build a 3D model of a multi-level house and want the stairs to properly link between floors, it gets messy and confusing. I would really appreciate a live seminar or workshop with a Q&A so users like me could learn hands-on and developers could gather feedback for future improvements.

For my needs, the material usage calculation feature stands out as one of the best tools I use. I also rely on the visuals because they help me sell the product and let customers better understand how the installation will work.

Creating tile layouts has been the most challenging part for me. I find it's less about the product itself and more about getting the design right.

As a floor covering contractor, we've really appreciated how this software calculates precise waste numbers for sheet materials such as carpet and vinyl. It actually arranges every required cut to fit within the roll, preventing unexpected shortages or excesses during estimating and production. That capability becomes particularly valuable when dealing with products that require substantial pattern repeats or unusual shapes, since those scenarios tend to push waste percentages much higher and complicate planning.

Cons

One improvement I'd love to see in this software is an enhancement to the notes area so I can highlight entries and add callout clouds which would be extremely useful. I already raised this with Customer Support and they told me that a solution is indeed in development and being actively worked on by their team.

Pros

I appreciate how accurate the measurements are and that I can send the project files to our disaster response division so they can run Exactimate take-offs for insurance purposes.

Cons

While I can't pinpoint any specific problems off the top of my head, I'm confident their support team could address anything that comes up. It did take some time before I felt fully comfortable using all of the features, though the learning curve wasn't steep. With a little assistance from their help desk I got the hang of it and since then I've trained our sales team who seem to grasp it quickly.

Pros

Being able to copy rooms, walls, products and profiles has saved me a ton of time. I've also enjoyed a bunch of handy features like the Underlayment option and the visuals are sharp. That said, I still can't locate the 'Flip a Room along the X or Y axis' tool. It's fantastic that there are so many tools available. My problem is I often don't know where to look for them.

Cons

The Elevation tool feels awkward to use, especially when I'm trying to model large staircases like grand stairways or auditorium seating. I'd really appreciate a simpler way to draw auditorium-style steps where every tier is finished in vinyl tile or carpet without having to wrestle with multiple sub-tools. Instead of hiding tools inside nested buttons such as the Shape/Edit control, it would make life easier if each tool was displayed individually so you can find it quickly. I've avoided many features because they're hard to locate. Also, I'd like the Set Self-Coving tool to remember the last height I entered (for example, 6") and the way cuts are adjusted on SV or carpet rolls feels clumsy. Making the process of moving cuts smoother and more user-friendly would help a lot.

Pros

This program was really simple to pick up and operate. While it does have the usual learning curve that comes with any new application, it didn't take me very long at all to get comfortable performing a basic takeoff.

I haven't really seen any drawbacks so far. I tend to stick to the simpler tools, though so I might be missing issues that show up with more advanced features.

I can't split a room once it's already been digitized and I always have to reconfigure the "options" whenever I begin a session, plus it often takes several minutes to fully launch after I open a session.

Trying to line up and coordinate the carpet pieces is pretty difficult. Whenever I move even one item it recalculates all the rooms and wipes out a lot of work and the mobile app is in serious need of improvement.

I don't have many complaints about this software. The only aspect that bothers me is the roll cut diagram. I really wish it were easier to modify the roll cut sizes.

I find this program simplifies takeoffs for commercial floorcovering projects, it's very user-friendly and the options it offers beat Callidus by a wide margin.

We occasionally run into a minor bug when calculating how many rolls of sheet vinyl are required, the system can under-report by a single roll. We're aware of this quirk and make it a point to double-check roll counts and cutting plans on all sheet vinyl estimates.

We really appreciate the level of detail this software lets us achieve. We can quickly produce shop drawings for both architects and installers.

I've found the grout add-on unreliable because it deducts the grout area from the net area which throws off measurements. That becomes especially problematic with mosaics when I enter them as tiny formats like 1x1 so I stopped using the grout joint setting since I kept under-ordering mosaic tile over and over.

After I got comfortable with the interface, I found the program really simple and user-friendly and once I mastered the fundamentals it lets me turn out a comprehensive plan quickly.

I can't sort the product list by trade which makes the printed plan somewhat difficult for me to follow.

A number of the new features seem tucked away in strange places so I end up hunting for them.

The takeoff feature still needs some work for example, I struggle to apply a horizontal divider to a room's walls at a specific height and I would like much easier cloud interoperability so syncing and sharing projects isn't such an issue.

I find it simple to use and the 3D view works well when I'm presenting. Its spreadsheet feature creates clear summaries that really help on bid day.

Personally, I've found creating patterns to be pretty clunky and more time-consuming than it ought to be. I also wish I could generate a separate spreadsheet for each tab. When I'm calculating ceramic tile setting materials, it would make more sense for them to be measured in pounds instead of gallons. On top of that, the cloud syncing doesn't always behave reliably.
