Proj Engineer Review - GC

Pros

The software is fantastic when all team members including subcontractors architects and engineers are actively engaged.

Cons

When not all team members subscribe to Procore it leads to duplication of work as items need to be tracked separately outside of Procore which defeats the purpose. However when used as intended there is no other comparable option.

Procore Review 101

Pros

Procore is user-friendly making software navigation a breeze.

Cons

The software offers extensive usability but it's possible to hinder oneself by selectively choosing to use certain fields and links while neglecting others. There are certainly best practices that need to be developed and followed.

We value the software's ease of use which has significantly streamlined our work. Subcontractors can access projects for submittals plans and RFIs without requiring them to pay for services.

Cons

It seems that there is still work to be done on the budgeting aspect to fully utilize the tools.

Good for Tracking but constant updates are annoying

Pros

Procore is great for subcontractors to track their outstanding submittals and RFIs.

Cons

The daily reminders can be bothersome especially when half of the updates are due to subcontractors not responding to revise and resubmit requests.

Great Customer Support

Pros

Procore's customer support is unparalleled always available via phone or email. Their integration with Sage has greatly improved the transition between the two platforms.

Cons

As with anything there are a few quirks that require adjustment. I believe creating purchase orders and change orders should be simpler. There seem to be unnecessary steps that could be eliminated to expedite the process.

Great tool but has a few areas to improve

Pros

Procore is an excellent organizational tool for contractors architects and owners during construction. It allows all parties to easily track the status of submittals and project meeting minutes among other things.

Cons

Managing in a setting where the project manager receives all documents and staff cannot respond directly within the system can be difficult. The software lacks the capability to generate punch lists internally.
