Speeds up workflows

Pros

I'm really impressed with Procore, I appreciate how it brings all tasks together for Accounting, managers, engineers and subcontractors. Overall it's an excellent tool that accelerates workflows and keeps everything organized.

Cons

Because the software is fairly complex, many users, myself included can get confused by certain features so the customer support team has been a major help in walking me through Procore's functionality and resolving issues.

No flaws

Pros

A friend recommended it to me and from what I've seen its tools, capabilities and features feel comprehensive for tracking progress and effectively handling a project's budget.

Cons

I haven't run into any glitches or serious issues with the application. Honestly construction companies should be using it. It's genuinely a major help for their operations.

Appreciate the free training

Pros

What I really like is how easy the platform is to use and I also appreciate the free training and webinars they provide. The information is presented in a clear and well organized manner.

Cons

When I'm collaborating with construction managers who aren't very familiar with Procore, it often results in me receiving a lot of notifications or other alerts that can be overwhelming and unnecessary.

Solid app

Pros

For my work, it brings every aspect of project management together in a single place. The mobile app is powerful and user-friendly which makes it really handy when I'm out on site.

Cons

I find that because Procore contains so many different modules, few of them truly outperform specialized competitors that concentrate on a single feature, like drawing markups.

User friendly program

Pros

I find the software really user-friendly and simple to manage. It launches reliably when I need it on my laptop, Surface and iPad, a great tool.

Cons

At my company, we use Surface devices and I feel the Procore app on them isn't as user-friendly as the iPad version. It definitely needs more development.

Easy to integrate

Pros

Its handy, simple to link into our other platforms. Works great for crews and the office.

Cons

Hard to pick up and support is often hard to reach. Aside from that, I find it useful.

centralized hub

Pros

I really rely on it as a centralized hub where general contractors and subcontractors can coordinate, exchange and receive files without needing excessive back-and-forth messages.

Cons

Honestly I'd like the punchlist feature to be more user-friendly. I'm finding it hard to filter and sort items by each trade.

can pull up past jobs

Pros

Found a lot to like about this platform. It centralizes everything in a single cloud location and I can pull up both past jobs and current jobs anytime I need.

Cons

For me the real drawback is Procore's mobile app. It seriously limits how I can use the system and cuts down functionality. There are some useful bits on the phone app but most of it doesn't work well for my needs.

Ability to view multiple jobs

Pros

Being able to keep an eye on multiple jobs through a single app really simplifies my workflow especially when I'm out in the field and need quick updates.

Cons

I've noticed a few of the tools are pretty tricky to figure out at first but after I learn how to use them they become noticeably easier to manage.

Unlimited integrations

Pros

It integrates effortlessly with a wide range of other software which makes it simple to pull all kinds of information together into one unified system. The drawing module works exceptionally well. I especially rely on the markups feature, the date-based revision numbering and the ability to quickly flip through prior versions. Those tools are incredibly useful.

Cons

There are a few annoying bugs in the submittal portion that prevent me from changing a workflow assignee from the submitter role to the approver role. I also run into RFI problems quite often where the "Question received from" field won't accept a person who is different from the trade ultimately responsible for the scope. To give an example, when a mason asks about an issue that impacts his tasks but the carpenter actually has to do the work, the system won't let me record that the mason submitted the question if the carpenter is set as the responsible contractor. This limitation creates confusion and extra work tracking who actually raised an inquiry versus who is assigned to resolve it.

Organizes construction projects

Pros

I'm really impressed by how simple this software is to get the hang of. It genuinely simplifies keeping a construction project organized and makes collaborating on tasks much smoother.

Cons

What I find most frustrating is the price. I wish there were more budget-friendly tiers or alternatives so smaller companies like mine could afford the same tools.

Makes bids easy

Pros

Honestly I really appreciate how user-friendly it is. When I first started using ProCore it only took me a few days to get comfortable with everything. What I like most are the trade filters and the option to filter out who is or isn't bidding which makes navigating bids much easier for me.

Cons

One minor annoyance I've noticed is that there isn't an obvious "Home" button. I usually have to use the back button or click the logo to return to the Home page which I find a bit clunky.

cuts expenses

Pros

I really appreciate being able to work on the go and view every aspect of a project. That capability has helped us cut down on both time and expenses across every one of our projects.

Cons

The process needs improvement and I'm working closely with Procore staff to address these issues. I also think they should visit groundbreaking sites and have one-on-one conversations with the developers who build the software.

Awesome drawing module

Pros

For our team, the drawings module really simplifies keeping subs up to date and the punch list features make tracking punch items far more simple. We're in the middle of switching our accounting over to Spectrum and the promised integration seems like it will simplify our financial workflows a lot.

Cons

I've noticed the platform gets redesigned or adjusted all the time and while many of those updates do add value, they frequently frustrate our superintendents in the field because they have to relearn workflows so often.

Fantastic tabbed document management

Pros

The tabbed document management and tracking tools are fantastic, they make organizing files user-friendly and I can grab documents quickly from nearly any computer or mobile device I happen to be using.

Cons

I don't really have anything glaring to complain about right now. If I dug deeper I might uncover small issues but at the moment nothing obvious stands out to me.

Pros

It's a one-stop destination for everything construction-related. I can oversee everything from the prime contract right through to closeout.

Cons

Sometimes I find the workflows drag the entire process down. I end up waiting on others to finish their tasks.

Pros

The app feels really simple, it's well organized and so easy to use and whenever I'm uncertain about something I can quickly locate the information I need.

Cons

I can't think of many negatives about this software. In my experience there hasn't been anything significant that would make me stop using Procore.

Simple to upload documents

Pros

Uploading and organizing documents is simple for me especially when I use Procore Drive. It makes file management much smoother. I also set up alerts so I'm notified whenever teammates update drawings or specifications.

Cons

I find the website's interface somewhat dated. While it has all the tools I need, it can feel clunky at times. Through the site I can only update one file at a time, whereas the desktop software lets me queue and update multiple files simultaneously while others are still uploading.

great for communication

Pros

I'm a big fan of Procore because it makes communication so much better across projects and teams. From managing drawings and plans to handling budgets and scheduling, everyone stays consistently on the same page.

Cons

It took me some time to really get the hang of the software but the payoff has been worth the effort. The instructional videos they provide are excellent and helped me a lot.
