“Tracks submittals, RFIs and time sheets
Pros
Being able to track submittals, RFIs and time sheets keeps things organized on my end and I find the drawings tab especially helpful for tracking items that need attention and assigning specific tasks to crew members.
Cons
I'd love a feature that lets me email all crews at once to tell them where they need to be or their upcoming weekly schedule because that would make planning and coordinating future jobs so much easier.

“Easy to use software
Pros
It's really user-friendly and I can access the app from any location. I personally find setting up submittal logs and keeping them organized to be very simple with this software.
Cons
Every so often the automated features don't work for me. They end up creating submittals for items that shouldn't be treated as submittals.

“Made our operations more efficient
Pros
It has made the operational side of our projects much more efficient. I find commitments, RFIs, submittals and similar items far simpler to track and handle than before.
Cons
I feel the toughest obstacle with using Procore is persuading people to break away from their established habits and the tools they prefer and then getting them to use it consistently in practice.

“I like the photo-tagging feature
Pros
Extremely simple to pick up and operate, even for architects and superintendents. Nothing else tracks submittals and RFIs as effectively as Procore. I also really like the punch list feature and photo-tagging very much
Cons
We haven't connected Procore to our Sage accounting yet so I'm not using the Financials module. Integrating those systems still requires an additional paid setup fee.

“Easy to explain to people
Pros
Because it's so simple, I can explain it easily to people from different disciplines and skill levels. What I like best is that I can send emails directly from it.
Cons
The setup is sometimes handed to people who aren't the most qualified and the system isn't user-friendly enough or perhaps it simply doesn't provide enough ongoing support when I want to make changes later.

“checks all boxes
Pros
I've found it to be an all-in-one project management tool that provides a smooth, unified workspace to help me keep my projects on track.
Cons
That said I've found very few drawbacks to the software but as is true with any new system, securing proper buy-in from the whole team is essential if I want to fully exploit its capabilities.

“convenient on the go
Pros
Being able to link every drawing to RFIs, photos or other related documents is something I really value. I can also access the platform from my phone, iPad or computer which makes it extremely convenient on the go.
Cons
I've noticed the pace of updates has slowed down and I think the product needs more tutorials to explain the new features and tools so teams can implement them effectively.

“Lets me oversee the whole project
Pros
I find it incredibly helpful that I can oversee a whole project, from initial estimating right through to final completion. Having the ability to pull up every job file while I'm out in the field saves me a ton of time and helps me maintain consistent quality assurance.
Cons
Occasionally the app will stop functioning or throw glitches. Only when that kind of thing occurs do I realize how much I rely on the software running properly to keep my business operating. It makes me uneasy to think that if the program goes down, all of our work grinds to a halt.

“Not hard to reach support
Pros
I found the user interface really simple and user-friendly to use and whenever I ran into a problem it was simple to reach a technical adviser who would give me timely, up-to-date information.
Cons
One major complaint I have is that I'm juggling multiple projects at the same time with a variety of developers and contractors and they each use different systems which makes coordination and consistency difficult for me.

“Visually attractive
Pros
The commitments are simple and clearly show how much money must be paid to the vendor. The interface looks good and creating a commitment is generally simple and user-friendly.
Cons
There is a feature that adds material costs to the total. When the vendor doesn't finalize it, I have to calculate how much is left and that can be a real hassle.

“Very capable
Pros
I've found it to be extremely capable. It works across platforms and lets me share information in real time. For construction management, it's the only tool that covers everything I need.
Cons
From my experience the interface keeps changing so often that I sometimes struggle to stay current with the updates. Also, even though the platform is very feature-rich, I find the price point to be quite high compared to other options.

“Keeps everyone in the loop
Pros
It has made it incredibly simple for everyone across the company to stay on the same page throughout an entire project. Project managers can upload documents and both the CAD team and field crews see updates immediately in real time which helps us avoid installing the wrong products.
Cons
The biggest drawback with Procore is that the experience shifts depending on the device you're using. The way things are arranged and work on a desktop PC isn't the same as on a tablet or on a phone and smartphone behavior varies further between Android and Apple iOS devices which can be frustrating.

“Customer service stands out
Pros
What I appreciate most is the customer service. The software's features and capabilities matter but because new features are always being released and implementations feel ongoing, reliable customer support is essential and Procore's team is unrivaled.
Cons
I do notice that the app can become sluggish during the day's peak hours. It's not a dealbreaker for me but those slowdowns can definitely make certain days a bit more challenging.

“Useful automated notifications
Pros
I've found the submittal process, the RFI workflow, the project directory and the automated notifications to assignees every day really helpful.
Cons
Doesn't include a procurement log that's tied into the submittal tool which means I'm stuck doing duplicate data entry.

“simple functionality and user-friendly
Pros
The software's functionality is really simple and the interface is very user-friendly. Learning how it works was simple and I was able to pick it up quickly and easily.
Cons
I'm really disappointed that the system doesn't sync with QuickBooks here in Canada. It's frustrating and I'd appreciate anyone sharing an update on when that integration might become available.

“Project plans at my fingertips
Pros
It really makes staying in touch with our superintendents, project managers and clients much easier and I love having project plans available at my fingertips whenever I need them.
Cons
The financial sync between QuickBooks and Procore needs to be more reliable and I also wish the plan takeoff tools were more solid and easier to use.

“Feels comprehensive
Pros
Everything is consolidated in one spot and once I become familiar with it, it's simple to get around. The built-in time tracking and productivity features are terrific and make it feel significantly closer to a comprehensive, all-in-one software solution that covers everything I need.
Cons
I'd prefer it to be more instinctive and easier to use right from the start for someone who has never used it before. At first I was wandering through menus and clicking randomly until I became comfortable. There are tutorial modules available to watch and learn and I found them useful but in my opinion those should appear immediately for new users, accessible front and center as an optional walkthrough rather than being buried or required before proceeding so you don't have to start totally blind.

“Can access contract documents
Pros
I can easily access contract documents, compare different drawing revisions and file electronic daily reports.
Cons
As a subcontractor I'm missing many features that general contractors get and I deal with repetitive RFIs, submittals and similar paperwork.

“Saves us a lot of hours
Pros
Using Procore has cut down the time my team and I spend each week by roughly five to ten hours. It's very user-friendly and feels like a major step up from the system we used before.
Cons
I wish it included a dedicated warranty module. My company provides a one-year warranty on every project and the warranty tools we have now aren't adequate.

“Excellent for team communication
Pros
Keeps our entire team aligned and stores every file in one central spot. I can alert everyone about RFIs, issues, inspection reports and so on all at once so I don't have to dig through hundreds of emails to confirm who received which document or when they acknowledged it.
Cons
Certain paperwork which used to be simple, now takes extra setup and a few more steps. I don't mind much though because those added actions help me keep better track of project progress and budget details by the time the project wraps up.
