What Is Kentico?

Kentico is a digital experience platform (DXP) that combines content management, digital marketing, and commerce capabilities into a unified system. It offers two products: Kentico Xperience 13, an ASP.NET Core MVC-based platform for on-premises or Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) deployment, and Xperience by Kentico, a hybrid headless Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution. Both platforms help organizations create, manage, and optimize digital experiences across multiple channels while leveraging a modular architecture for flexibility and future-proofing.

Kentico Pricing

Xperience by Kentico uses a per-channel licensing model, allowing organizations to purchase only the digital channels they need—such as web, email, or headless channels—and scale over time. Two licensing tiers are available: Standard and Advanced.

Its SaaS offering follows fixed pricing, avoiding unpredictable costs tied to usage. Request a personalized Kentico pricing quote tailored to your digital strategy.

Great for creating integrated solutions

Pros

It brings together CMS, digital marketing and e-commerce tools in one platform, making it a great all-in-one solution for businesses.

Cons

While the basic features are easy to use, I noticed that more advanced tools like marketing automation require training or specialized knowledge.

Doesn't meet most enterprise email marketing needs

Pros

I do not have much to praise but it does attempt to replicate features found in more popular ESPs.

Cons

There is no connection between their CMS and Email Marketing Platform. Also the UI feels clunky and is not as user-friendly or as feature-rich as other more popular ESPs I come across.

Company you can't count on

Pros

There is only one good thing about it and that is the CMS was designed to be simple enough for non-technical employees to use.

Cons

Their business practices are a concern. We started with them five years ago and now they have stopped supporting it. They raise prices by more than 20% each year and push for long-term contracts even though their product only works well for a couple of years.
