  • Does your team need to track tasks, bugs, and other issues?
  • Do you need to assign/create task assignments and keep track of progress?
  • Do you need to collaborate/connect with remote teams or stakeholders?
  • Does your team need to prioritize tasks based on deadlines, context, and importance?
  • Is there a need for custom workflows or automation?

Another tick, if so.

Jira is a Very Useful Tool for Small and Mid-Size Businesses

November 2022

Jane K. Louve

Software Developers

Pros:
Jira is an extremely useful piece of project management software for tracking project enhancements and also bugs. We can move and set workflow for every type of ticket, and we can also apply validation of required fields. It is important that we can create custom text boxes as per requirement. We can also set up automation in the fields. Jira is very intuitive and had good references when it came to integration, and the support personnel were very helpful and did not get irritated when it came to answering a lot of questions.
Cons:
It consumes a lot of PC resources and server space, meaning that if we open it in a browser, the RAM and CPU utilization increase, but the PC performance slums down due to heat up and the performance is reduced, which leads to all the other functions not operating at their full capacity. They could also update the user interface and introduce some new pricing packages for small and mid-sized businesses if the cost of entry is affordable and, through that, they could also attract more customers.
