“versatile tools for customer engagement”
Pros
Versatility is the standout for me. There's a solid set of features that cover a lot of ground in customer engagement. That includes email marketing, workflow automation and CRM functionality so I'm not bouncing between different tools as much.
Cons
UX can feel a bit challenging to get used to.

“fantastic onboarding and support”
Pros
Recently I had the chance to use ActiveCampaign for my business and I genuinely can't get over how impressed I am. The platform's functionality feels strong from the start, the onboarding process is clear and genuinely attentive and customer service has been top notch every time I've needed help.
Cons
At the moment, I haven't run into any issues.

“Helpful multi audience targeting”
Pros
Very user friendly and lets me automate a lot of tasks. I can also reach different target groups from within a single system without switching tools or setting everything up again.
Cons
Deleting the Lite plan for 500 contacts feels really misguided and it'll unfortunately push me to look for a different and cheaper option for small companies.

“frustrating phone support”
Pros
Not much to speak of. The only real upside for our company was the ability to COLLECT & STORE our contacts.
Cons
We couldn't reach ActiveCampaign by phone unless it was for Sales. The company provided just a single phone number and it took some digging to locate it (and it was essentially the Sales line). On top of that the automatic charges when we weren't trying to renew caught us off guard and definitely weren't appreciated.

“solid investment”
Pros
This is an excellent email marketing tool and it honestly feels like one of the most complete options on the market.
Cons
If you're just getting started, it can feel pricey. Still, once you factor everything in, it ends up being a solid investment.

“user friendly scheduling”
Pros
Interface feels really user friendly and setting up scheduling campaigns becomes effortless. The automation side performs impressively using the AI automation builder with clear instructions makes it much easier to build automations. It's also cost effective compared to other options I checked.
Cons
Creating a new list takes a bit longer than expected. E commerce templates aren't available but overall that didn't bother me much and I was totally fine with it.

“top tier automations”
Pros
Automation management system is genuinely among the best out there. Like you mentioned, it may take some effort to handle deep, manual integration if you have specific e commerce requirements especially subscription products where membership status has to trigger automation actions. Still, their overall approach feels top tier for those use cases. It also helps that there's an automation map so you can clearly see how different automations connect to each other.
Cons
Cost is the main sticking point right now. There are newer alternatives that are available for a fraction of its license price and can deliver similar performance, as long as you're okay with trading off usability and a few specialized features. Data export is another limitation. It makes it harder to migrate elsewhere. For example, exporting contacts together with the lists they belong to isn't handled in one go then you have to export each list separately. On top of that ecommerce data can't be exported alongside your contacts, meaning you'll need to resync your ecommerce setup on the new platform.

“excellent support”
Pros
Customer service was genuinely great and the marketing automation features are solid. It also connects with basically everything so integration hasn't been a hassle.
Cons
I was using an industry specific version of the platform and it ended up being a poor match for what I actually needed. Getting the most out of the marketing automation took quite a bit of effort since the setup and workflows are pretty complex.

Pros
It's simple to use and feels very user friendly. The interface is pleasant to work with and navigation doesn't get in the way.
Cons
Target and contact management could use additional features. There aren't enough options yet in those areas so it's missing some functionality I expected.

“Powerful tool with lots of features”
Pros
There are a ton of features packed into this platform and it feels like a really powerful tool overall. Setup and day to day use have been fairly easy too so it hasn't been a hassle to get going.
Cons
One downside I've noticed is that it seems to have increased the number of emails landing in recipients' spam folders compared to the previous emailing platform I used.

“pipeline tracking for smarter goals”
Pros
This tool helps me track my sales pipeline as it fills up which makes it much easier to set my sales targets with confidence and get a clearer picture of what I might have coming in.
