“Simple to use”
Pros
Automation features are fantastic and really simple to use. If you don't have much technical knowledge, there are also plenty of tutorials online to help you get started.
Cons
I can't think of any downsides right now so I'm happy with it so far.

“perfect for email automation and outreach”
Pros
This tool has been spot on for email automation. It also works really well for reaching and communicating with the specific target audience you want.
Cons
Audience segmentation takes a bit of getting used to though there are workable ways to handle it directly inside the tool.

“organized campaigns for big lists”
Pros
Comes with a ton of features and handles large subscriber lists without much difficulty. It's a solid fit for businesses that have lots of customers and want more advanced options.
Cons
Since it includes so many capabilities, there's a learning curve and it can take a bit of time to get everything figured out. Also if your priority is creating highly aesthetic, visually beautiful emails, this tool may not match what you're looking for.

“powerful CRM”
Pros
ActiveCampaign feels like a really capable email marketing and customer CRM platform. The range of tools has helped my business automate and tidy up our marketing, sales and customer support workflows which is exactly what we were looking for.
Cons
There's definitely a learning curve. With so many features, it can feel a bit complicated at the start and getting advanced automation campaigns and segmentation set up took some time to figure out.

“Great tracking”
Pros
A full featured email automation platform, with a ton of tools and integrations you can actually put to use. The drag and drop builder is simple enough that you can assemble even fairly complex automation flows without too much friction. On top of that its segmentation options and customer data tracking are genuinely strong so it's easier to target the right people and follow what's happening.
Cons
Could be too expensive depending on your budget and the interface occasionally feels like it has more going on than you need right away which can get overwhelming.

“Creating segments for my audiences is easy”
Pros
Creating segments for my audiences is easy and Zapier plays really nicely with it. Editing campaigns and designing them is also pretty simple so I can get changes out without it getting too complicated.
Cons
Adding or moving contacts into the correct segments one by one is absolutely painful. Anything that isn't handled through automation takes forever and feels frustrating especially when you're making updates manually.

“easy rollout”
Pros
It's really easy to use and rolling it out feels simple. Being able to implement and monitor it across different users has been genuinely helpful. Overall, it works well as a communication tool for both clients and internal users so everyone stays on the same page.
Cons
One downside is that there are a lot of automated emails going out to users which can feel like overcommunication at times. That said, the information included is still useful for improving day to day practices and it helps a lot when users take advantage of the shared messages and the how to videos.

“valuable email insights”
Pros
There's plenty to enjoy here but the lead capture feature alongside the email insights is especially valuable. It makes it much easier to track what's happening with your outreach and turn those signals into next steps.
Cons
No complaints at all. We moved over from another tool and this one covers everything the previous program did plus more and it's been a really solid upgrade so I'm genuinely pleased with it.

“strong automation”
Pros
We mostly rely on this for managing contacts and running campaigns and it's been a good fit. The segmented list features are especially useful and the combination of contact tagging, sequencing and campaign automation covers what we need day to day. It's also helped us keep our workflows organized. Overall, I'd happily recommend it.
Cons
A few of the list segmentation commands can feel a bit confusing at first and are more complicated than you'd expect which has led to a couple of small mistakes along the way.

“spam safe messaging and tagging”
Pros
Everything feels pretty complete and that matches what others keep saying though I haven't managed to fully explore all its potential yet. The biggest win is that the messages don't end up in the SPAM folder. Setting up a campaign isn't overly complicated and segmentation works really well since you can apply tags at each step of the process.
Cons
Even though it's packed with so many features I haven't been able to unlock everything because it doesn't feel very user friendly. There's a pretty steep learning curve and the interface looks a bit outdated. There's definitely room to improve the layout and overall usability. Also, 500 contacts feels quite limited on the Lite plan.

“Keeps everything organized”
Pros
Email pamphlet stage plan works really well and the way it represents the deals pipe is very concise. I also like that the Simple Site contact structure is baked in so everything stays organized and easy to follow.
Cons
It isn't very beginner friendly. The email configuration instruments can be a bit buggy and they do take some careful handling to make sure the beneficiary facing organizing/looks stay correct. Also, the site lead structures could use a bit more tweaking and flexibility.

Pros
Managing marketing funnels with it feels really easy. The built in flows and tagging system let you customize your messages a lot more and fine tune your sales process for better results.
Cons
The only part I'm not fully happy with is that it isn't available in Spanish yet. I'd also like to see a genuinely useful limited free version so you can get started without committing right away.

“helpful for tracking performance”
Pros
The biggest win for me has been the email open rates paired with the analytics. It's been really helpful for tracking performance and understanding how people are engaging with the messages.
Cons
The user interface isn't the most beginner friendly at first glance though it's workable once you give it a bit of time and patience. It becomes much easier to use after that.
