“makes it easy to manage contacts”
Pros
Automation, along with campaigns and websites, are my favorite parts of ActiveCampaign. I genuinely enjoy building new automations to nurture potential customers. The builder feels easy to use and you can basically handle everything right inside the automation. Managing contacts is also a strong point for me. The overview makes it easy to stay on top of what's happening.
Cons
A nicer email design editor would be a big improvement. I'd love to create more stylish, influencer-style emails directly in the editor because currently it's a bit of a hassle every time I design an email.

“Changed the way I do email marketing”
Pros
Using this for about a year has seriously changed how I manage my email marketing. It's become a go to for me and the workflow just fits my team well. Even the teammates who aren't exactly tech savvy can put together email sequences without running into snags. One feature I keep coming back to is working with segmented lists it's easy to build segments, then either send the same email to everyone in a segment or swap in different messages for different groups. Compared to doing everything by hand, this saves a ton of time and has helped lift results across our campaigns.
Cons
Dont have anything to complain about.

“Awesome landing builder”
Pros
I really enjoy pretty much everything about ActiveCampaign starting with the landing page builder, then moving into email marketing automation, lead capture, lead management and the marketing automation features overall. The interface as a whole is also a big win for me. It's genuinely simple to use and easy to navigate and most things feel self explanatory so nothing seems overly complicated. I honestly love the platform 100%.
Cons
The only part that bothers me a bit is how long the free package lasts. The free account window is pretty short and I think it should be extended for people who aren't able to afford the paid plans yet so there's more time to fully test things out.

“powerful CRM”
Pros
We chose this software after comparing CRM like tools that include built in email marketing. The setup lets us handle our database and connect leads directly to "deals" and "organizations," which is a big improvement from juggling everything in Excel. Sorting and finding customer records is way simpler now. On top of that the email marketing features are strong enough that ActiveCampaign feels like a real one stop shop for our needs and it costs a lot less than some competitor CRMs while still offering similar functions.
Cons
A few emails have run into deliverability issues and tweaking the design and overall look can be a bit frustrating. That said, it seems to match my experience with essentially every email marketing platform I've used.

“A/B testing performed well”
Pros
Very user friendly and flexible so it's been easy to adapt to as my needs changed. Their A/B testing performs really well and the whole setup doesn't feel intimidating even for beginners. On top of that there are plenty of choices for formatting emails the way you want. Support has also been top notch every time I reached out, the help was quick and helpful.
Cons
Pricing is on the higher side though the wide range of features makes the cost feel more justified.

“Excellent features”
Pros
The app has a solid set of features and everything feels easy to use. On top of that the support team has been really helpful whenever I've had questions.
Cons
I do wish some features included in higher tier memberships were also available in the lower plans but that's more of a personal preference than a dealbreaker.

“great for client management”
Pros
Features like spam block, customizable fields and contact list management feel genuinely impactful and useful. Having these tools together helps cut down a lot of the routine work and what I appreciate most is how well it functions. It takes the heavy lifting out of blocking spam and managing a long list of clients you need to reach out to so it's one of those practical software options that saves time day to day.

“High value software”
Pros
Using it is pretty easy and there's a ton of options to explore, plus customer support has been really helpful when I needed it.
Cons
The pricing can feel a bit high for beginners. Also, while my issues always get resolved the support team takes a while to reply and the refund process ends up being slower than expected.

“great for all your marketing needs”
Pros
Automation features plus the huge number of courses available in the market make this a really strong piece of software. Overall, it's a solid platform and the price feels justified by what it offers especially if you're actually going to use the training and automation tools.
Cons
However, if you're just starting out in digital marketing, it can be hard to afford since the cost may feel unrealistic at the beginning and this is more suited to advanced users.

“solid automation for advanced users”
Pros
This is easily the most solid marketing automation platform I've tried for advanced use. I've worked with other email marketing tools but nothing really matches this software in terms of features. From building landing pages to setting up complex automations, it feels like you have everything you need in one place.
Cons
Getting used to the interface took some time compared to other similar tools but the payoff was absolutely worth it.

Pros
The software feels really user friendly and getting everything set up was quick. It's also become an important part of our marketing communications, helping us stay on top of what we're sending to customers.

“Solid for automating repetitive tasks”
Pros
Has a solid set of tools for automating repetitive tasks. It does a great job of building and managing email campaign journeys based on specific actions and events which makes the whole experience feel more hyper personalised. That, in turn, tends to lift both open rates and reply rates.
Cons
Pricing can get a bit heavy once you scale especially since I'm not monetising a lot of my email subscriptions, newsletters or ebooks.

Pros
I like being able to schedule emails so they automatically go out to subscribers once specific conditions are met and then repeat on set time intervals. It's basically an advanced email campaign management tool that handles the automation side really well.

“clean interface”
Pros
Automations feel pretty easy to use and the software has a pleasant, clean look. Everything feels thoughtfully designed so it's enjoyable to use while setting things up.
Cons
Was a little confusing to use at first since there are a lot of options you can do with the software. An automatic tutorial or onboarding pop up would've helped a lot so you can quickly find your way around.

Pros

“Powerful automation for the price”
Pros
Delivers really strong automation for the money. Compared to a lot of other email marketing automation tools, it doesn't run out of steam as quickly and the branching options are much more capable. It's also easy to connect with other software so you can build your stack without feeling like you're paying for features you'll never use.
Cons
List management could use some refinement and the quality of customer support hasn't been great lately. It looks like they've been rolling out a bunch of support changes which makes me hopeful things will improve soon.
