“highly flexible audience segmentation”
Pros
I've used Mailchimp before so I'm already comfortable with other email marketing tools and this genuinely stands out especially its audience segmentation. The options for customizing email marketing are extensive, letting you target specific groups based on interests and where they are in the sales funnel. You can design campaigns to different audiences in a lot of different ways which makes it a strong choice overall. I'd recommend this platform for new business owners who want solid reliability along with plenty of customization for their email strategy.
Cons
One downside I ran into is that it doesn't feel very user friendly at the start when you're setting up emails for automation and campaigns. It takes more steps than I'd like during setup and I'd personally prefer a simpler flow with fewer clicks to get things running.

“automation emails save time”
Pros
You can handle email marketing and also set up automated emails that get sent to clients so you're not stuck typing the same messages repeatedly. It connects with a lot of different platforms and the setup doesn't take much time and is user friendly.
Cons
Occasionally some emails end up in clients' spam folders which makes it harder for them to find and navigate the messages.

“solid campaign tools”
Pros
Communication with customers feels easy thanks to this. Launching a campaign is pretty simple even if you're new to email marketing. I also like that you can track engagement so you can see how people are responding. Compared with other email services we've tried, ActiveCampaign has ended up being the most effective overall.
Cons
There are plenty of lessons available but the automation side can feel a bit difficult at first. Setting up automations is pretty demanding more like learning to code or tackling something close to rocket science.

“Covers everything you need for email marketing”
Pros
Lets you plan and automate your DEM campaign the way you want. It's a solid marketing tool. Its built in features covers everything you need for email marketing so it's not just a basic email sender.
Cons
The graphic templates offer limited customization and that can become a real issue if you work with more demanding clients who need a specific look or tighter control over the design.

“Quick email campaigns”
Pros
One of the parts I enjoy most about using this software is how simple it feels to use. Building attractive email campaigns is quick and there's no coding needed at all. When I've run into questions, the support team has been responsive and there to help me out.
Cons
Sometimes changes don't show up right away and it can take a few minutes before everything updates.

“powerful automations”
Pros
Switching to this turned out to be a smart business move. Building automations and running flows that trigger based on customer activity didnt take much effort and I really appreciate that their customer support team is easy to reach for any questions that come up.
Cons
Takes time to learn how to use ActiveCampaign. Some of the written tutorials on their site didn't go deep enough to resolve the specific questions I had.

“versatile email automation for events”
Pros
An extremely capable and flexible email marketing tool. We used it, alongside a few other platforms, to plan and launch our marketing campaigns for an online conference. It let us target the right people with the right messages, at the right time which made the whole outreach process much more precise.
Cons
There's definitely a learning curve though it's not too hard to work through. The part that really surprised me is that you can't automatically email invoices from it which is especially ironic for a product built around email automation.

“works smoothly with WordPress”
Pros
Works smoothly with WordPress. Everything is easy to understand and using the full set of tools feels natural. The automation features are also simple to set up and genuinely easy to grasp so you can build workflows without getting stuck.
Cons
One thing I didn't enjoy was the 14 day trial. I'd prefer it to be at least a month so there's more time to explore the app more deeply and refine our campaigns even further.

“effective outreach”
Pros
This app has been pretty effective at bringing in new clients for me. It helps generate leads consistently enough that it feels worthwhile as a client acquisition tool.
Cons
Doesn't always send every targeted email. Some recipients seem to get missed from time to time which is frustrating when you're relying on full delivery.

“Using email editor is difficult”
Pros
The interface feels pretty user friendly and it's simple to navigate. It also supports integration with other platforms which makes it easier to connect it to the tools you already use.
Cons
Using the email editor is a letdown it's genuinely awkward to work with. Because of that, the overall product can start to feel difficult to use once you get into email creation.

“amazing segementation”
Pros
We moved one of our clients from ConvertKit to this for a few reasons and the upgrade has been worth it. The contact segmentation is noticeably better and the campaign automation tools also feel more powerful and flexible for how we run workflows.
Cons
Everything's been working well overall. If there's one area they could refine, it would be the automation page UI making it a bit clearer would improve the UX and make it easier to understand what's happening at a glance.

ActiveCampaign is marketing automation software that really helps simplify marketing and sales workflows. It's basically one platform for generating leads, following up with customers and boosting sales conversion. I've used it to plan and schedule campaigns, create automation rules and make sure each lead receives the right information at the right time to move toward a purchase.

Packed with features and it gives you a lot you can actually do. There are tons of templates to work from, plus plenty of options to tweak and experiment until it looks the way you want.
