“smooth workflows”
Pros
Marketing Automation and workflow features are seriously strong. There are plenty of options to design your own workflow and it feels like there are almost no limits to what you can build.
Cons
Setup and responses can feel a little slow and there are moments when it gets really frustrating. Also, the UX/UI could use a big refresh, right now it looks pretty outdated.

“Huge range of customization options”
Pros
I'm genuinely enjoying the huge range of automations and customization options I can set up.
Cons
A few parts of the UI feel like they need an update, particularly the email designer it looks and feels a bit outdated. The list clean up feature also leaves something to be desired: it seems to let you pick active contacts (marked with ???) rather than inactive ones and that doesn't really make sense to me. Because of that, I end up having to work around it using filters in the contacts list instead of relying on the built in cleanup option.

“solid features”
Pros
Email automation features are genuinely impressive. I've used several of them to build long, multi step automation sequences for a 3D virtual labs platform I was promoting. It made a noticeable difference in understanding how my leads and customers behave online especially how they interact with each email and how many of them end up purchasing from the website.
Cons
Customer support availability could use improvement. ActiveCampaign should increase the number of support agents online since some other email marketing tools cost less and offer 24/7 chat support.

“customizable templates”
Pros
Using it has been a really positive experience. The templates are genuinely nice and even better, they're highly customizable so it's simple to shape everything the way you want without feeling limited.
Cons
One small tweak would make it even better: the Lite plan could allow a slightly higher number of subscribers.

“Powerful CRM”
Pros
Email builder is quick to work with, the automation tools are easy to use and bundling it with a built in CRM plus event tracking is a really strong bonus. On top of that it connects nicely with several well known larger CRMs.
Cons
Its cost is the only thing that holds it back for mid sized teams. Even though it comes in cheaper than tools like Pardot or HubSpot, it can still feel like a big investment once you're managing more than a few thousand contacts.

“Strong core email automation”
Pros
I've had zero trouble designing content, sending it to my lists and keeping list management under control.
Cons
A bunch of the non core features are tucked away behind an annoyingly high number of clicks and it took some time to even understand what's available in the first place. Simple tasks like sending emails to leads inside this can drag on too long and I often end up needing to refresh the entire page. Automating custom fields also feels pretty difficult.

“user friendly with strong support”
Pros
It's easy to use and the software support team has been excellent. Using it has also been a solid way to market our business and stay connected with my clients.
Cons
A bit more video content on setting up specific campaigns would be helpful since not every step is covered as clearly as I'd like.

Pros
Setting up my funnel was very easy. I didn't have to go through any training because the whole platform feels really user friendly and everything I needed was easy to locate. I'd definitely recommend it for lead generation, funnel building and marketing automation.

“cost effective email campaign tool”
Pros
Using it feels effortless and comfortable and it includes the core features that growing companies really need. It's also pretty cost effective especially when you're trying to scale without overspending.
Cons
A couple of features that competitors provide aren't available in it. Also, the REST API integration can feel tricky at times which slows things down when you're trying to connect systems.

“Very feature rich”
Pros
It comes with tons of built in functionality and connects well with other apps I already use. I also like that you can begin with a smaller setup and pay less upfront, then scale gradually as your needs and budget grow. Customer support has been pretty solid overall though response times can be a bit slower than a few other services I've tried.
Cons
Getting started felt like a lot at first but it's starting to click as I work through it. When I was trying to figure out the Typeform integration, I kept running into plenty of articles explaining what you can do with Typeform integrations but fewer that actually showed the steps for setting it up. From Typeform's side, the process felt much easier.

“highly recommend!”
Pros
I've had a chance to test this tool across a few different situations. Lately I've been using it to automate emails to the leads I generate through Facebook Ads and it's been working well for that workflow. I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking to simplify lead follow ups.

“solid fit”
Pros
Dales pipeline management is genuinely effortless to run day to day. We've been using ActiveCampaign for over four years and the platform has consistently matched what our clients need.
Cons
Pricing and customer support have taken a turn for the worse over time. Reporting also feels a bit thin and the social media integrations aren't as strong as we'd expect.

“well designed newsletters”
Pros
We use this software across different teams to engage our current customers as well as prospects who've opted in. It's been especially helpful for our drip campaigns targeting SW users and it also serves as a solid starting point for reaching new prospects with well designed newsletters and campaigns.
Cons
HTML support has improved which puts our team in a better spot now. That said, there are still moments when creating an email from scratch feels a bit tricky though the team managed to work through it pretty quickly overall.

Pros

“good fit for small business”
Pros
The features that made the biggest difference were lead management and segmentation, plus the automation side where workflow creation is simple. On top of that campaign management and template management are solid and the deals module is a nice extra for keeping things organized. Using this feels very manageable too they walk you through module by module tutorials so it's not a "figure it out yourself" kind of tool. I also had a smooth time integrating it with my current business setup and overall I'm genuinely happy with what it is doing for small business owners.
Cons
A couple of improvements would make it even better. It would be great if it could connect directly with more of the apps small businesses use every day, like Google Sheets, WordPress and Shopify. If that expanded integration support were built in, it could help businesses save money and avoid needing extra third party tools such as Zapier or Integromat. That said, I haven't run into anything that I'd call difficult to use everything worked smoothly, including the integration with my existing business.
