Costs too much for small teams

Pros

What I find most impressive are the marketing automation tools , they've done a fantastic job helping me nurture leads and keeping prospects engaged at every stage of the sales funnel.

Cons

the biggest issue has been the price , it's quite expensive and can put real strain on smaller companies like mine that have tight budgets and limited resources. Beyond the cost, the platform's huge feature set while impressive, often feels like too much, when I first started I got overwhelmed sorting through all the options and trying to figure things out. From my experience, it's also worth admitting there isn't a perfect marketing automation solution , each platform has its own strengths and trade-offs, so the best choice really depends on what your specific business needs. In short I find it powerful but pricey and a bit complex.

Solid Marketing Tool

Pros

i have been able to heavily tweak campaigns and scale them by KPIs which has proved extremely useful. Being able to see user journeys across the campaign flows is amazing , it gives real clarity about how folks engage with our content. I'd certainly tell others to try this platform.

Cons

I find the analytics less granular than I'd prefer and pulling real-time metrics can be painfully slow. I'm hoping Adobe addresses these shortcomings because improving them would significantly change how effectively we can operate and get value from the platform.

best for big companies

Pros

It handles complicated marketing automation setups & it keeps everything under control even when running enterprise-level campaigns. I've noticed it excels at tailoring customer journeys through sophisticated segmentation, dynamic content and flexible lead-nurturing tools. Plus, its connectivity with CRMs and other MarTech systems makes data transfer feel easy which is essential for coordinating across channels. The reporting and analytics are very comprehensive too, delivering rich, actionable insights about campaign performance that let me tweak and improve strategies in real time, constantly.

Cons

It did take me a fair bit of patience to get comfortable with the interface, especially at the beginning. My recommendation is to tap into the Adobe Marketo community for guidance and to connect with nearby User Group leaders if urgent questions pop up , there really is a lot of support available once you learn where to search.

Useful insights for aligning marketing and sales

Pros

It clearly showed us how to align our marketing and sales data with our goals. While we used it, the platform gave our team some really valuable insights

Cons

One thing I noticed is that in the start it will be tough to configure if you do not have all your assets and information organized in one central, easy-to-access place ready to import.

Changed how we work

Pros

It lets our marketing and sales teams automate so many workflows. The live dashboards showing up-to-the-minute data and engagement stats have totally changed how we operate.

Cons

I would change one thing. I'd like more flexibility to customize features rather than being limited to preset workflows but really, there isn't much else to fault about it.

Automates well but complex

Pros

I value the way this platform automates processes and segments audiences , it significantly improves how I run targeted marketing campaigns and boosts their effectiveness.

Cons

its difficult to use at first and the overall complexity can feel overwhelming at times. As a new user, I definitely struggle to move through all the features efficiently.

Powerful but hard to learn

Pros

There's a lot I like about the automation capabilities , they're extremely powerful. Creating customized, multi-channel marketing campaigns without a lot of issue is what I appreciate most. It syncs well with CRM platforms and the granular analytics it gives me allow better targeting and smarter decision-making, which in turn has raised our lead generation and conversion metrics noticeably.

Cons

Getting up to speed was tougher than I expected , its quite hard to use and it took me far longer than I thought to become comfortable moving around the system. The UI seems a bit old-fashioned and not very interactive which makes troubleshooting and figuring things out slower than it should be. Also the price can climb fast, particularly for smaller teams like ours once you include all the necessary add-on modules and integrations.

highly customizeable but overwhelming

Pros

I appreciate how everything is highly customizable and the integration options make it easy to build targeted marketing campaigns and monitor how effectively they're performing.

Cons

I find it can feel overwhelming when you're just getting started because of its complexity. On top of that, it's expensive which really hurts smaller businesses that are working with tighter budgets.

Custom journeys but sometimes slow

Pros

I'm really impressed by the suite of marketing automation features , they let me build highly tailored campaigns and follow customer journeys with a lot of precision. In my workflow, the tight integration with other Adobe tools significantly expands what I can do and it makes systems talk to each other much more smoothly than I'd expected which speeds up campaign coordination and boosts overall functionality.

Cons

I do find the interface overwhelming at first , it takes a while to learn where everything lives and how the pieces fit together. Performance can be sluggish at times and that lag is annoying when I'm trying to move quickly. Also several of the advanced capabilities are difficult, on a small team with limited experience, getting full value from those features could be pretty difficult.

easy to use but pricey

Pros

very interactive platform is to move around which made getting started much less daunting. The email marketing tools are clear and easy to use. Building landing pages turned out to be unexpectedly simple , I can assemble polished, professional pages without a lot of effort. The collaboration features across the network are strong and let our team work together smoothly. Lead management does a good job of tracking prospects as they move through the sales funnel. Because the social marketing tools are built in, I don't have to hop between different services. Campaign management keeps everything organized and running and the CRM sync works reliably without data issues.

Cons

Although the price is quite high for what you actually get, I also find dealing with support to be annoying when problems pop up. The initial setup took more effort and was more complex than I expected and I've noticed the system sometimes slows down. There have been occasional glitches and hiccups that still need to be addressed.

A bit overwhelming for beginners

Pros

the interface is so clean and doesn't bury you under a bunch of fields or cluttered bits, it avoids that overstuffed look. I appreciate that they kept the layout simple and well-organized, so everything is easy to find and pleasant to look at.

Cons

When I first tried to find information about it I found almost no advertising which made it difficult to discover. During my initial research I was left with a lot of unanswered questions especially around pricing. I really wish there were more beginner-friendly tutorials, because it's not easy to get started if you're new to marketing and it can feel quite overwhelming at the beginning.

good view but teams split

Pros

I value how this gives our team a much clearer view into the pipeline and lets us identify additional opportunities right at the start of our sales process.

Cons

I am frustrated that we can't see what marketing is up to, which creates a disconnect between departments. It would really help if both teams had better visibility into each other's activities.

Pros

it simplifies my entire marketing process by keeping emails organized in a single repository and offering easy-to-use campaign tools. My tailored emails, triggered by customer behavior, have seriously changed how I reach the right people at just the right moments.

Cons

Useful for custom dashboards

Pros

I am glad I can tailor the data to build custom dashboards and monitor everything live. What really catches my eye is the A/B testing tool , it's a standout support feature that I find especially useful.

Cons

So far I can't point to any major faults worth complaining about, the advantages clearly trump the few small hiccups I've noticed.

Looks old and is slow

Pros

Honestly the interface looks very dated and I feel like it hasn't gotten any real updates in ages. Trying to manage files is a issue and the whole account management workflow feels awkward and clunky to use. This really needs a major visual and usability refresh.

Cons

the automation tools nowhere near as adaptable as what you get from competitors like HubSpot. Working with reports is awkward and inefficient and every time I link it to systems like Salesforce or ZoomInfo the system slows down noticeably. On top of that, the pricing feels exorbitant compared with other marketing automation options. I've been let down by customer support too and meaningful, functionality-improving updates are rare.

It works well

Pros

the automation features are incredibly powerful , there's practically a trigger for every use case. What impresses me most is the support team's responsiveness, they're always really on hand to jump in and help when needed.

Cons

I find the reporting needs work. Sometimes reports omit records entirely, forcing me to create separate local assets in programs to capture the missing data.

very smooth integration

Pros

For years I've used this tool and what I really appreciate is just how many integrations it supports , thanks to its longevity there are connectors for nearly any system I need to integrate with, so I can usually hook it up to whatever platform my team relies on.

Cons

Designing emails drives me up the wall even with the added templates, the whole process is frustrating. The editor itself is awkward and uninteractive to use which makes building and tweaking campaigns slower and more irritating than it should be.

Pros

the setup is simple and smooth and this tool has quickly become an important part of our development stack.

Cons

Personally, I find the user interface a bit clunky and not very interactive to move around, honestly that's my sole cons, beyond that I have no other real complaints about it.

finding the exact datasets I need can be annoying

Pros

It allows me to create automated customer journeys that span multiple channels , email, social platforms and the website , all tied together smoothly and without gaps.

Cons

Every now and then I couldn't find the exact dataset I was after and that ended up being pretty annoying.
