“helps guard every endpoint well”

Pros

Right from the start, ESET Endpoint Security has felt like a really valuable endpoint security solution with outstanding capabilities. The setup process was also very straightforward so getting it up and running did not take much effort.

Cons

Since I began using ESET Endpoint Security, I have not run into any issues at all. It has been very reliable throughout.

“Fast and hassle free protection”

Pros

Overall it performs very fast and it barely uses system resources while running. Using it is just as easy and getting this set up was quick.

Cons

The firewall behaves a bit strangely. It sometimes blocks printers and other devices so having to manually whitelist them can be pretty annoying.

“suite covers threats fully”

Pros

After switching from Symantec to Eset, I've been really impressed with its threat detection. Even the basic antivirus package comes with plenty of features that add extra layers of protection. It does take some policy setup to allow RDP over VPN but once that's configured, it works well. I also use it to block ad sites that pop up when I click through to read articles from the original website. When I had trouble getting RDP via VPN working, their tech support team connected remotely and set up the required rules for me. The console management is also excellent.

Cons

Nothing major comes to mind honestly. The price might be something to point to since I'm using the business version. Whether the home edition includes all of these added protections is something I'm also not sure about. Not the kind of program you just install and forget about.

“installs quick with rich controls”

Pros

Getting ESET up and running is quick and it doesn't eat up a lot of system resources. It also offers a huge range of configuration options so you can fine-tune just about any setup you can think of.

Cons

Thankfully I haven't run into any operational issues with this product. Regarding one thing to mention the price could be a bit lower since it has typically sat at the higher end compared with similar software.

“Uninstalling this is an annoying process”

Pros

This application didn't appeal to me much overall.

Cons

Unfortunately one thing that really bothered me was that after I decided I no longer wanted it it took weeks to fully remove it from my laptop.

“a good swap for old tools we used”

Pros

This has been a reliable security solution for us and a really strong replacement for Kaspersky.

Cons

One issue we've run into is in a VDI instant clones environment, where there have been quite a few glitches in the admin center especially with some user PCs not appearing.

“Mixed review”

Pros

Compared with other options on the market the pricing is really attractive and the interface feels very easy to use.

Cons

Another downside is that the installers need frequent updates. Plus when something breaks the software doesn't provide much detail about what actually went wrong.

“Catches malware reliably”

Pros

One thing I appreciate about this endpoint security is how well it can detect, identify and analyze incoming malware on a device. It also alerts the user right away so action can be taken before the device gets infected.

Cons

Honestly, I don't have any real complaints because this endpoint solution comes bundled as part of the complete ESET PROTECT package which I really value.

“top threat protection here”

Pros

Layered security that catches all kinds of threats and gives outstanding protection is what it delivers. Targeted attacks get stopped and data breaches get prevented as well. Truly best-in-class security this is and I'd absolutely recommend it.

Cons

Honestly, I have no complaints at all. I'm a very happy user so just keep doing what you're doing.

“always current against threats”

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is getting access to innovative technology that can predict, prevent and most importantly detect threats across the system. It stays very current which makes it a strong fit for dealing with the latest cyber threats.

Cons

Since implementing ESET, my devices are no longer getting slower day by day. Honestly, I can only speak about the improvements it has brought to the way I handle things.

“Top-Tier!!”

Pros

Blocking spam reducing false positives and stopping phishing attacks is where it consistently ranks among the best and very little strain gets put on the protected endpoint. A very good product this is.

Cons

Nothing to complain about. The partner network is also excellent for purchasing the licensing.

Pros

Efficient protection without putting much strain on system resources. It stays out of the way instead of bombarding me with notifications and the scan speed is definitely impressive.

Cons

I just wish it came with more built-in features.

“smart insights & strong defense”

Pros

After years of searching, we finally came across a security solution that fits seamlessly into our existing infrastructure and delivers strong threat detection. A friend recommended ESET and it ended up solving exactly what we needed. We've used and deployed this cybersecurity software for years now and it has been excellent. The AI-powered insights are genuinely useful and the customizable dashboard is another feature we really appreciate.

Cons

Initially the only issue I've noticed is that new users can feel a bit overwhelmed when trying to get familiar with all the features though that usually gets better over time.

“Protection without the annoying parts”

Pros

This security suite has been very dependable and protects against a wide variety of threats. The interface stays unobtrusive, the notifications aren't annoying and overall performance is excellent. Installation was straightforward, license management is simple and the regular automated scans plus product and definition updates keep everything current. It's also convenient to run manual scans and updates whenever needed. Customer support has been helpful as well.

Cons

There really aren't any major downsides to mention. Startup scans can slow down older machines a bit but that's fairly expected and I've used plenty of security software that was far more memory-heavy and disruptive.

“layers of great defense”

Pros

The threat intelligence features are a big plus and it offers more layered protection than other EDR solutions I've used.

Cons

Being comfortable with ESET took some time and it didn't really click for me until I spent a while building out the policies.

“central control + automation”

Pros

One thing that really helps with ESET Endpoint Security is its centralized management console which makes it much simpler to handle security across the whole network. It also comes with a good range of tools to automate tasks and reduce the manual work involved in day-to-day management.

Cons

There are still some false positives with ESET Endpoint Security, where legitimate files or programs get mistakenly flagged as malware. That can interrupt the workflow and force you to review, investigate and reconfigure the solution when it happens.
