Pros
There are numerous built-in options to customize my software to my practice. I appreciate that I can delete something and still view it in a deleted section like treatment.
Cons
I find patient information scattered across different windows. I wish there was a centralized location for all patient demographics, insurance, and family details. I often struggle to identify which pencil icon to click, making it more time-consuming than I'd like. I'd love to see a record of reserved time and be able to see who is adjusting appointments or reserved times.

Cons

“My experience with [sensitive content hidden]
Pros
Switching to ABELDent was an excellent decision. Customer service assistance was amazing and met my training needs. There are many features that has shown me, and I am excited to learn about all the upcoming new features. Emailing and texting my patients for health history, upcoming and past due appointments are great tools to communicate with them. My team is very happy with ABELDent.
Cons
It felt a bit overwhelming initially, but once I got the hang of it, the software proved excellent.

Cons
What I like least about Abel Dent is that it's slow and tends to shut down and "abort" at times.

I LOVE their customer service. Marica is always wonderful to talk to and guides me through problems at a pace I can easily follow, answering all questions expertly and making everything very straightforward! :)

“ABELDent experience from recent conversion
Pros
I enjoy working with Kimberley, my trainer, who is very knowledgeable. She helps me overcome the challenges associated with switching software since I had been using a different program for 22 years. This has been a huge change for me, and I have learned a lot, knowing that ABELDent will support my future learning.
Cons
Some of our converted insurance plans initially lacked all the information we wanted, although this was resolved.

Pros
It is very easy to book patients and adjust the schedule settings as needed.
Cons
The billing needs a lot of work. Any adjustments require going back to the day I entered the payment, deleting the payment, changing the provider's name, and then reapplying the payment. Any billing adjustments need to be done after changing the date.

Pros
Handling confirmations and sending emails has become significantly easier for all the staff members.
Cons
Our emails were functioning inconsistently, and fortunately, customer service was able to identify and resolve the issues that were causing the intermittent disruptions.

Pros
The features on the administrative side of Abel are easy to use and navigate. The charting and records maintenance is easy, intuitive, and the best I've seen!
Cons
The portal still has a long way to go! The inability to navigate certain functions is frustrating, especially after using a third-party communication system that had those functions available.

Cons
Some charting conditions are missing. It would be nice if the alternate ID carried throughout the chart, not just in the personal tab.

Pros
I have used ABELDent for my entire dental career, so I do not have other software to compare it to. I recently had to speak with support and spoke with a guy. He was wonderful, friendly, and dealt with the problem quickly.
Cons
Fellow employees who have used other dental software say Abeldent is the hardest to learn. I find there are too many "extra" clicks of "okay" and "are you sure" before moving to the next step.

Pros
My review is not about the product but the service provided by ABELDent. I have been working with an outdated version at one location, and now that I need to learn the CS, she made it very clear. She guided me through the similarities and showed me features that will change my day-to-day use of this software. She was also very kind along the way.
Cons
There are so many different ways to complete a task that it can seem overwhelming, but the variety makes it very adaptable for every user.
