“Slow and unimpressive service
Pros
The system is quite slow. We are only using it for the time being before we fully incorporate an EMR into our practice. We mainly use AdvancedMD for practice management but waiting for outcomes has been very frustrating. The only good thing about the company is that their customer service is in-house rather than outsourced to a private company in a far-off country. Getting hold of the support staff do sometimes take time but the staff is knowledgeable and often provides an instant resolution. Their claim scrubbing module and billing system are nice.
Cons
We have checked and confirmed too many times if it’s our servers or some lacking system requirements that are resulting in software working so slow but we have everything in order and the system appears to be inherently slow which is annoying, to say the least. The software is already expensive and there are additional charges for any additional services you may add.

“Amazing service for Insurance billing
Pros
We use this software for our billings and it has been great at it so far. It integrates well with our EMR which is Practice Fusion and it does not work well with most billing software. AdvancedMD is easy to use and intuitive. Their claims scrubbing module makes our work very convenient. The company people are very helpful in a way that they will set up your system and have you working in a matter of weeks. Albeit they work better from their own clearinghouses and companies they’re in partnership with. Their customer support is great. The staff is very responsive. We use only one provider and it has worked out great for us. The many functionalities of the software save us a lot of time and effort.
Cons
Adding a third-party vendor needs to be planned months beforehand as it can be a hassle. It requires a lot of effort to set up and takes quite some time to integrate with the system.

“Great for Practice Management
Pros
They have amazing training programs available all year round, the training staff is amiable. They offer virtual training as well. Scheduling courses are very easy. I love how intuitive the system is when it comes to managing advanced projects. The system accommodates to whatever area of work you need it for with great room for personalization.
Cons
It does not work very well with anything less than a high-speed internet connection. The AdvancedMD software does not secure your information when there is a connection time-out and it can be a problem while maintaining classes or virtual training sessions.

“complete waste of money. wont recommend.
Pros
The only plus-point to this system is the ease of usability and the uncomplicated interface. Among the functions, the billing system is the only considerably good thing about the AdvancedMD PM. Everything else has been a colossal disaster.
Cons
The system does not even perform basic organization functions. None of the data is in alphabetical order so fetching a certain file takes infinite scrolling through the database. the EHR is awful and not intuitive at all. It does not allow you to view PDF files on the system rather only allows TIFF format scanning from the system. Printing via TIFF comes with its own limitations and troubles, sometimes it would print files in half. PDF scanning can only be done through the PM which is a tedious process requiring multiple steps. Their customer service has been of zero help all along. They say the company has been working on it, but it has been two years and there is no sign of improvement. Calling support for issue resolution is the most frustrating process. They keep you on hold for half an hour at a time and even after that you will get no help.

Nothing about this software is good. Be it their EHR, scheduling or billing system, the system has nothing good to offer.
Cons
The software has infinite glitches and because of the modules work inconsistently which sets us back on our schedule every other day. The company IT staff either do not know how to help or just dont care to. The customer service is clueless. The whole system has been a complete nightmare from the beginning. Their app is awfully slow and cumbersome. The functions keeping hanging. Patients often complain about the portal being difficult to use. The faxing module takes days to transfer documents. Their CPT coding for the labs is not up-to-date which leads to lab companies declining running the tests. their MIPS billing is horrible and takes so much extra time. their note-taking templates are the opposite of helpful.

Practice Management services are good. I like the billing module and layout of the system. It is easy to navigate. The EHR is average at best.
Cons
The system is painfully slow, that is when it works. They have extensive downtime, every week. Its either the EHR or PM that’s shut down. Sometimes they take away functionalities or some features, other time the whole system would stop working, for hours on end. These outages have been greatly problematic and seeing how consistent they are, and no reassurance from the company regarding upcoming improvements in performance has us considering changing the vendor.

“A robust and efficient system for small/solo practice
Pros
I love their billing module. the automation around it is a great help. however, AdvancedMD is more expensive compared to the previous software I was using but it is worth the expense and I am glad I made the switch. there is a steep learning curve which made training challenging but it became extremely easy to navigate once I learned my way around the system. navigation is simple and being a solo mental health provider AdvancedMD has made my work very light for me. their customer service has been a great help throughout.
Cons
It takes quite a while to set up the system according to your requirements. the implementation took me months. looking forward to their future updates and further simplification of the software.

Pros
I love how user-friendly AdvancedMD is. It is very easy to work your way around even if you are just getting started or have little tech knowledge. I can train my staff within days with no difficulty. They offer a great choice of templates to choose from. It integrates well with other systems.
Cons
As great as the templates are, too much choice can sometimes lead to confusion. the system sometimes works too slow. Can be cumbersome when you need to get a task done or upload changes but that may be because it’s entirely cloud-based.

It is a great cloud-based service which is very convenient for us. We can access the data at whatever time and place and make changes easily. It is highly customizable which is amazing. There are multiple pre-built formats for taking reports. scheduling is very easy and intuitive. the layout is user-friendly and you can learn the system within days.
Cons
There is a learning curve. it takes some time to set up the system according to your work needs but once you get the hang of it, it works great. their claims scrubbing module exhibits some issues occasionally when it blocks some insurance companies claims from going through and customer help can be spotty.

Pros
I love how easy reporting is with AdvancedMD. Their reports are super comprehensive and you can keep tabs on all the different aspects of the billing system from a simple report. The system has reminders and alerts to notify you to review and make updates on things. The software has helped us turn a great revenue cycle and increased our client collection with its elaborate patient statements.
Cons
Some features can be a bit cluttered at times. For instance, the dashboard had too many features which were difficult to maneuver at first but eventually as I got the hang of it, it has been of great help. However, they could be organized in a better way.

“Effective Healthcare Solution
Pros
AdvancedMD makes patient record taking really easy and it gives a superb accessibility for users. The business intelligence reporting also works perfectly for our service and we have utilized it effectively. It has also helped us have better integration between our systems.
Cons
AdvancedMD’s feature were not really relevant but I believe it was due to the nature of our business. The only con we feel it has is its customer support which can do much better than the holding times it has. Just wish that gets resolved soon.

Pros
This software has wonderful features that have supported my organization to be cost-effective and more profitable. It provides a brilliant UI and it proves that it can help you to satisfy your customers and build a good reputation within healthcare delivery.
Cons
Although I have not had any major challenge yet, I wish that the functionality of it could be better than how it is. It takes a time to learn how to use it. However, once learned, it is very easy to use. I urge other health care organizations to also adopt its usage.

“scanner freezes cause loss of data
Pros
I liked how easy the navigation was. As everything I needed was laid out clearly so I didn't have to hunt around or ask where any features were.
Cons
What I find frustrating is entering data by scanning important paperwork because the scanner keeps freezing and occasionally the data vanishes altogether, causing me to redo everything.

“Simplest to roll out and maintain

Usually I am working in an administrative capacity with this system, so I do not really tap into most of the clinical features. But being a network engineer, I deal with a lot of EHR platforms and out of all of them this one stands out as the simplest to roll out and maintain. From a systems-management perspective I genuinely value how easy deployment and ongoing management are with this product.
Cons
I have run into a handful of small hiccups during updates. On several occasions the client tried to apply an update but ended up stuck in a loop, repeatedly failing to finish. The only reliable fix was to manually download the latest client build and reinstall it rather than letting the built-in updater complete the job. That workaround was annoying and a bit time-consuming, although thankfully it doesn't occur very often.

I find the updated EHR/EMR layout very user-friendly and simple enough for me to navigate.
Cons
There are frequent crashes and glitches and I often cannot get customer support to answer or provide an ETA on when the software will be fixed.

Cons

“Easy to enter data
Pros
AdvancedMD has one of the best user interface I have seen in EMRs. It is very easy to enter demographics and has a fairly streamlined process from start to finish. I would actually recommend it to anyone in the practice who wants simplicity and streamlining in their services.
Cons
Although there are not many cons to AMD, I wish that I didn’t have to hit save every time you make a change to an account. It is an effort that I don’t want to put in for no reason. AMD needs to look into this further.
