Great software

Pros

User-friendly software connects to credit card processing pulls comprehensive monthly reports and runs A/R reports.

Cons

The billing service (separate from the software) is not excellent and often delayed. The enrollment service also takes time to set up.

Cons

They couldn't automatically update the DMEPOS Medicare price list for us which was a deal breaker.

Manager of office using Advanced Md for a year

Pros

Billing is generally user-friendly and visually appealing.

Cons

AdvancedMD is expensive and their customer service has long wait times often exceeding an hour before anyone answers. Even after connecting we are frequently placed on hold without receiving a satisfactory answer to our questions.

When it works correctly it is fine but when it doesn't support is impossible

Pros

Reports are easy to find and the system is mostly user-friendly but template changes can be complex.

Cons

Support is inconsistent with most issues being attributed to our ISP even when multiple providers experience the same problem. Correcting mistakes can be challenging.

Pros

Don't waste your money

Pros

The billing system is easy to use well-organized and offers many reports.

Cons

As an EHR AdvancedMD lacks expertise. It is difficult to use expensive and the patient portal is non-functional. Although they claim to be meaningful use qualified it only applies to a limited number of measures unrelated to specialties. The cost is excessive considering the functionality available; better alternatives are available.

Great program thus far

Pros

The system's ease of use and outstanding customer service make it a pleasure to work with. The transition from our old billing system to this one was smooth and accompanied by informative guidance. We appreciate the software's user-friendly interface and the excellent support provided throughout the implementation process.

Cons

We rely on this system for payroll reports but there isn't a suitable report available that provides the necessary information. We have to use a larger report and customize it in Excel to meet our needs.

Pros

The software offers valuable features with knowledgeable and friendly customer service.

Cons

The system experiences delays when moving between fields and the wait time for customer support is lengthy. Even requesting a callback takes a while.

Friendly customer service however they need more training in billing part of the software.

Pros

User-friendly software with direct billing integration and good customer service.

Cons

There is a lack of billing reports particularly for specific CPT codes. A/R reports for certain insurances are inaccurate.

Does not live up to the hype

Pros

Training was excellent. Most electronic billing software is similar.

Cons

AdvancedMD frequently upgrades their software resulting in system downtime for several days. Software issues are common making it unreliable. Claims submitted months ago were not processed by Anthem Blue Cross and United Healthcare costing me reimbursement checks. The end-of-day wizard falsely indicated that everything was submitted. These software issues have severely impacted my practice resulting in defaulting on bills. The software is misleading and can be detrimental to a practice. Additionally it is not designed for chiropractors.

Very easy to use great customer service!

Pros

The software is easy to use simplifies staff training and helps meet Meaningful Use requirements.

Cons

There are instances when working on a task where the program unexpectedly restarts without notice resulting in unsaved information. However the positive side is that this issue only affects a single user so it doesn't disrupt the entire office. Additionally the program quickly resumes minimizing any wasted time.

Pros

Responsive staff and useful navigation. The Dashboard and benchmarking are great.

Cons

Great EMR with well-developed billing package

Pros

The interface looks great integrates easily with labs and SureScripts. Dot phrases speed up note-writing.

Cons

The telemedicine component still requires improvement. Active monitoring of the scheduling screen is necessary to know when a patient arrives for an e-visit. It is also pricier compared to some competitors.

Great first EHR

Pros

Being our company's first real EHR system this software proved to be a great initial step into the world of electronic health records. As a small business transitioning from Outlook we found it easy to use with basic templates making the transition smoother.

Cons

The scheduling and template customization options are limited. The platform is basic and has room for improvement.

Excellent Implementation Team and Software

Pros

The platform has a solid foundation and is highly customizable and responsive. While the learning curve is manageable the software's depth continues to provide added value as you become more familiar with it.

Cons

Progress notes open in separate word documents instead of within the software. Future scheduling of drugs for refills is not supported.

Staff is knowledgeable, they understood our needs and delivered.

Pros

We are a new setup and we were really relying on the vendor to guide us through, AdvancedMD has exactly done that. They knew the need of the new practice and delivered timely

Cons

The system is pricey and implementation costed us a lot. I believe you pay for the quality but still feel we paid a lot.
